Chapter 44: "Let Loose"

ShadowWing glared at Wanderist with a gloomy look. *It seems you need some assistance there, my queen* a voice of her father came inside her head. She grin evilly as her eyes turned into a fully red-bloody look; being controlled by DarkShadow's spirit. "What is this?" Wanderist questioned herself. Without further notice ShadowWing raised her claw up, and some how, she had all command over her ally.
"Now, get out of my way, and there will be no problem," she said. "Of course, my queen." "Queen?! Queen of what?!" smirked Sally. The dragoness snarled at her and commanded Sally as well. "Both of you: stay out of my way!" They moved away, and before she walked out of the cave, she glared at Rookie; backing away, he stared back at his corrupted friend--gliding out of the cave. "Dawn..." shook Rookie's head, in shame. He finally decided to follow her, needing to help out.
Minutes later, he found her and confronted, "Dawn! You've got to snap out of it!" he yelled. She turned around and chuckled, "Is that so?"
"Yes! Ever since Pablo went away, you've been causing chaos and drama! Snap out of--" "That isn't so!" ShadowWing added, cutting of his sentence. His eyes widen as he then saw red glowing eyes behind her. The ghostly appearance of her father showed, as he growled at Rookie. Rookie jumped, scared at the fact that DarkShadow has returned. "You haven't changed a bit. Still the timid little 'sheep' you have been," he chuckled, "when will you learn that you are outnumbered and weak? Hmph, perhaps we have to show it to you the hard way!" "Why must I even bother with trying to get my friend back?!" Rookie said out loud, "Wanderist, Sally: are you still under that spell?!"
"What's the matter? A 'strong' independent dragon like you still needs to be looked after by your lady friends?" laughed ShadowWing. "I can look after myself, thank-you for asking." "Are you so sure about that?" growled the two, as they spread there wings; ready to attack...

Chapter 45: "A Fight for Death"

Rookie looked at the two--back to back-- uncertain at who to strike at first. In a flash, DarkShadow used his Convexity breath--that blasted Rookie into mid-air. "Argh!" Running up to him, ShadowWing hit his stomach with her horns. Fortunately though, she didn't stabbed him--for that will cause major loss of blood. Taking in defensive mode, he didn't want to fight back at his friend. He dodged, he ran, and got wounded some more, not even changing his mind on fighting back. Taking more chances, Rookie tried to talk them out of battling him--mostly for Dawn. "Please...Dawn! I know you're in there somewhere! You need to...fight it out!" he yelled. "I'll fight something out, that's for sure!" she hissed, as she opened her mouth--showing her sharp teeth. "Oh no!" he whispered, ready to run off, *I've got to hide somewhere*
As Rookie was about to scurry off, ShadowWing rapidly bit down his back leg--causing him to scream out in pain. DarkShadow evilly laughed out in joy, "My daughter--my queen--you are becoming one step closer to transforming into a permanent evil ruler." Rookie frowned in pain, as he glared at his leg--with gashes of skin torned.

~Back at the Cave~

The two sisters were finally free from ShadowWing's spell, as they looked around the cave-confused. "Okay, what just happened?" exclaimed Sally. "Was that just...Dawn?" questioned Wanderist, ignoring her sister's question. "I don't know, but we've got to find them! Who knows what kind of danger they are in right now!" she replied. "I know...let's go find them!" ended Wanderist, running off with her sister. *I hope Rookie's okay, not to mention Dawn too*

Chapter 46: "There's Good & Bad in Everyone"

Trying so hard not to faint, Rookie still managed to stand--abnormally. "Hmph, finish him. He is no good for our clan, nor to be a slave," said DarkShadow. ShadowWing chuckled and questioned, "Ready to be gone, little one?" All of a sudden, a shot of Ultra Light hit her and her father.
"As if that will ever happen!" shouted Wanderist. Her eyes widen as she looked at Rookie's wounded back leg. "Rookie!" Before she was about to run towards him, the two evil dragons blasted out their Convexity Breath; making the sisters get pushed back to a tree. "Ow!" they both yelled, as Rookie helplessly watched them get harmed. "Wanderist!" She glared at him, now having a chance to go. "Rookie...who did this?" she said, in tears. "It was Dawn...she's gone way off...all because of her father," he replied, hugging her. Silence came out of his girlfriend, as her yes glowed fully red--the transformation for her dark side. As Sally fought alone she noticed something wrong, and when she looked back, horror grew into her eyes. "Oh no," she whispered.
Dark Wanderist snarled when she looked at them, as ShadowWing responded, "An alter ego, excellent. I've been waiting gor your little goody-good there to vanish." Continuing to snarl, she was ready to attack. Rookie looked at her, with fear and sadness--at the same time--as he remembered something...
~After the war that DarkShadow summoned, Rookie and his allied went off to explore. While doing so, they helped him by training on his abilities. Discovering that he too had a bad side, it was time to use it; for good.
*When having a bad side, you must figure out a way to control it, before it ever controls you...* said a voice of Dawn, long ago. *Think of a way to summon your dark side. But be at mind--that at the same time--you've got to control your emotion. Your emotion may or may not take over, it depends of what ever happened in the first place--of becoming dark...*
So Rookie took Dawn's word and thought of things that can trigger his bad side; all of a sudden it did. With shady purple eyes "glowing" and many dark scars on his body, this new transformation was stunning.
ShadeWing--the alter ego of Rookie--stood beside Dark Wanderist, ready to strike. Sally, the only one with good still left, decided to turn evil as well. Dark Sally walked over with her evil allies, face to face, with dark on both sides.....

Oh crud! Dark dragons everywhere! This isn't gonna go well, is it?

Chapter 47: "Light Finally Shines Through"

"Give it all you've got," said ShadowWing. "No mercy!" replied Dark Wanderist, shooting out her shadow-fire towards DarkShadow. ShadeWing looked back at his leg and growled, "because of you I've got to limp around! And now, I'm gonna show you how much it HURTS!" As he blasted a huge amount of Purple Convexity towards ShadowWing. Dark Sally helped out her sister by jumping on top of him, trying to bite him sown--on the neck. "Let...go of me!" he exclaimed. "Not until you let go of our friend!" she responded. "You're the main cause of this situation!" said the other. "Is that how you really think?" "DUH!" they both said.
"I'll answer both of what you just said!" he said, as he pushed off Dark Sally and clawed Dark Wanderist's wing. She winced and growled, as he continued saying, "One: I'm not the one who can let go of your little ally. Dawn, the one and only can do so. Not until I find a way to control that! And lastly, I'm not the only one who mainly caused all of this chaos!: he continued. "Who else must it be then?!" Dark Wanderist yelled, blasting a ray of Convexity; a pay back for what he just did on her wing.
"Dawn!" "For the final time, I'm ShadowWing! You pathetic little-" "Rrrah!" he roared out--charging with his bad leg--ShadeWing ran towards her. His scars turned lighter as well as his yes, for now his anger took command. Growling--and showing his teeth--he wanted to re-pay for what she had done to him; but of course this time: it's her upper neck. He then sprinted up and clutched her neck down, causing some pain on her. Walking back, she was back-to-back with her father. "We...are...not....defeated!" she yelled. "Don't give up...my daughter!" Still fighting and grasping the two, ShadowWing ended off saying, "Not...a moment...to soon...will I....loss my breath!" Before the two sister we going to let out all they have, all of a sudden, it turned darker. A light blue beam shone at everyone, as a dragoness from a far came closer and closer. Now letting go, ShadeWing whispered to himself, "Midnight." His eye also spotted something else; behind her was a young dragon that was so distinct. Catching that glimpse, he turned back to his normal self and questioned, "Is that....? Pablo?"

Chapter 48: "Light Finally Shines Through"
(part 2)

Pablo eventually noticed Rookie staring at him, and into the bushes. Midnight smiled when she saw him leave, and then turned around, growling at her "husband." Everyone paused and glared at her, with the sisters turning back to there normal selves. "My beautiful wife--" "Enough!" she commanded, cutting off his sentence--with her light glowing brighter. "You've had quite enough commands roaming around here! Haven't you had enough?!" "My destination is not yet completed, I shall do anything to do so!" "Then why won't you just go away?!" Midnight then gathered her glow, and blasted out a huge Light beam towards him. Being pushed back by feet, the four backed away from this. ShadowWing hid from the others, with tears falling from the bad pain on her neck. She then healed herself, only with scars left behind. ShadowWing was about to do something to help, but then felt something familiar. As she looked back, she "saw" something hiding in the
the bushed. *It...can't be* Taking full control over herself, Dawn ran off to see the object.
Back to the commotion, the three allies watched the battle go on; not knowing that Dawn left. "Leave these innocent children alone!" "Children?" said Sally. "Especially my daughter!" "Your daughter? She'll soon be my queen!" Midnight snarled so fiercely, she began to chant her spell: *When the Moon is high, a Dragon is nigh. Forget this fright, as we make it through this lonesome night!* The Moon's beam hit her--glowing even more--and used her fury. DarkShadow through out comets of fire, but it bounced back to him--along with the fury.
As everything cleared up, he was left on the ground. She grabbed him by the neck and said, "All these years and you've been nothing but chaotic. Wanting one thing in life, and fail eventually. You've had enough, if you asked me." He only glared at her and just scowled, pushed he away, and flew off. "I'll find a way to demolish all of your good sides. Say 'hello' to your alter egos, and good-bye to your pathetic little selves!"
"Well, at least it's...over?" questioned Rookie, uncertain. "For now, little ones."
As Dawn reached the bushed, as separated them, her eyes widen. "Pablo," she whispered, with watery-angry eyes glaring at him. "Dawn," he replied, with a normal voice. Something inside him wanted to burst out into tears, but yet again, something also held him back...

Chapter 49: “Back Once More”

“You're....you're alive!” she said, tearfully. “Yeah, I am, as you can see,” he replied, “look, let's go somewhere else; to talk alone.” “Sure.” Dawn then followed him to a light, leading them to evening scenery at the plains. With breezes flowing around, Dawn questioned, “Are you okay? I mean, you haven't shown any emotion. Do you not miss me?” “Being calm isn't an emotion? Besides, I do miss you.” They then stood silent with Dawn's head down—having tears roll down.
“It felt like forever since we have been separated, feeling that we couldn’t be together again...” he finally said, trying to make her feel better. “Yeah, exactly what I was feeling...but more.” “Yeah?” he smiled. “Yes. My emotion got the worse of me, turning into ShadowWing once a while. I’ve turned crazy...for you,” she smiled back, with tears. “Come here,” he replied, offering a hug. Dawn hugged him so badly, saying aloud, “I missed you so much!” Crying even more, Pablo was there to support his girlfriend.
There was a look one his face all this time, needing to say something—bad or good. “C’mon, I’m here now. No more having to cry now.” She stopped hugging and responded, “My pain was all locked up, I need to let that all come out.” “Feel better then?” “Yeah...because of you...”

~Back at the woods~

“Midnight, it’s great to see you come by. We needed you so...so much!” Rookie said, with pain coming back again. “Oh! Look at you! Let me take care of that,” she replied, as she healed his leg. “Thanks...Oh! This is my friend, Sally, and my...girlfriend, Wanderist,” he blushed. “It’s nice to meet you.” “So, you’re Dawn’s mom?” asked Sally. “In the flesh, and I would have came earlier, if it wasn’t for my tasks.” “Tasks? What sort?” questioned Wanderist. “Every night I would go with P...I mean...some one else, and heal the ones in need.” “That’s very thoughtful of you! Uh... someone else? Who?” he said, getting suspicious. “Just a helper, that’s all,” she smiled, with guilt.
Rookie sighed and nodded, “Midnight, please tell the truth, and I know you will.” “What do you mean?” “Tell me that Pablo didn’t really die, and that you’ve been keeping him hidden away from Dawn.” Everyone else eyes widen, mostly the sister; having even more secrets revealed.

Chapter 50: “Lies They Have Told”

“Rookie…pleases…I—” “Just say it, let it come out,” he said. The sister glared at each other, still surprised—but will be more, at what Midnight’s going to say. She sighed and finally responded, “Fine, I’ll say it. But please don’t take this the wrong way…I have kept him hidden, and the reason is—” “No, no need to tell me the reason. You should tell that to your daughter—Dawn,” she said, disappointed.

~Back to the Couple~

They were finally together again, at last! Dawn’s worries, hatred, and sadness had now lifted away. But some how—something—just had to make them all return…
“So…now what?” Dawn asked, smiling at Pablo. He just couldn’t take it anymore, as he sighed, and nodded. “Dawn, I have to tell you something.” “What is it?” she questioned, getting a little worried. “Everything that you’ve been told by Midnight—mostly—was just all lies. When she told you that what you saw in the waterfall was not true—she lied, just to make you feel better.” “But only to make me worse,” she whispered to herself. “I’ve been alive ALL ALONG, hiding from one thing that’s important to me—and that’s you. But I’ve kind of chose to do so.” “What-” Dawn said, confusingly.

“I can’t…I just…” he stuttered. “It’s just I’ve been told all my life that my only powers was to give it all to a legend. But I’ve also learned—realized! That it was also to protect you in the name of love. To rescue you from danger, and with situations between us…I chose to ‘die’ for you; to ‘die’ for you. So you wouldn’t have to be worried about me, in a big situation. Plus, it helped me realize that others still need my help. So I’ve joined Midnight into lending a hand anyone in need.” “Where are you getting at? All I understand is that you want to be away from me. We’ve been through a lot in the passed years, and now it sounds like your calling quits? Also, if those people told you to give your only powers to a legend, and if that’s affecting your decision…then it’s time to decide on your own,” she responded, tearing up. “…and I have…”

“Meaning?” “I can’t…I can’t do this anymore…I….” he stuttered again. “Just—” “ I don’t love you anymore!” he exclaimed. Dawn’s eyes widen with disbelief, as tears ran down her cheeks. Her head shook and whispered, “No…” while walking backwards. Her eyes closed, as she then teleported back into the woods.

Pablo felt so angry! Making a fist, he told himself,” What did I do…I…” continuing to stutter, he finally let it all out, “No…NO….NO!!!” Echoes went out, as the lonesome, confused dragon stood there—crying—with the skies turning dark and gloomy; now beginning to pour….

Chapter 51: “To Find a Way”
(Part 1 of 3)

“I will…,” she said, as she looked around for her daughter. “Wait…where is she?” “I bet she saw Pablo and went after him,” replied Rookie, “she’ll go through a lot of pain.”
Why aren’t you two saying anything?” Midnight questioned, ignoring what he just said. “If you haven’t noticed, we’re kinda surprised about the whole Pablo situation and what not,” answered Sally, “I mean really! Doesn’t anyone tell us anything anymore?! Especially friends!” she continued, looking at Rookie—angrily. “What she means is that we never knew that: Pablo has hidden, not dead, not with Dawn? It’s enough to keep us speechless,” said Wanderist.

“I don’t blame you,” he responded. “Well I’m sorry, I really am. I’d like to tell you why has been kept away but…you’ll figure out,” Midnight replied, “and what I am really here for is that: I found a way to help this world from not ending.” The three were surprised, as Rookie exclaimed, “That’s great! It’s what we needed all along!” “Yes, but the only thing that’s standing in the way—against us—is those creatures of the underground.”

“Of course, why am I not so surprised? There was something wrong with that place, we all felt it,” he responded. “Huh?” questioned the two sisters, confused. “I really do need to tell you guys what has happened.” “With that crazy immortal panther, Nightsky, he can summon horrible creatures—no matter the size—which can harm you greatly,” added Rookie. “But how?” asked Wanderist. “Just with one touch from them, and they can begin to drain your powers. Those powers then lay dormant for a few days—not to mention your flight abilities as well,” he continued. “That’s crazy!” exclaimed Sally. “That’s the truth.” “And with Nightsky commanding most of the creatures, it’s going to be enough—”
“Enough to declare war,” ended Rookie.
