"I wonder if Im missing something" Aqua said to himself

After witnessing Candence's disappearance, Foxtail was outraged. Ordinarily, he wouldn't have cared, had it not been for the fact that she pulled the exact same stunt years ago when confronting the exact same adversary.

He shouted out a message packed with fury and sarcasm that echoed across the atmosphere, loud enough for her to hear wherever she wound up.

"So that's how it's gonna be, huh? Sure, just leave us to fight the giant killer death robot all by ourselves! It's not like we could use the help of, oh, I don't know, an all powerful alicorn or anything like that! No, we'll be perfectly fine on our own! Thanks for nothing, ya freakin' wuss!"

He knew he would regret saying that last line, but he could've cared less at the time.

Cadence heard every word, each one causing the ground below her to die, in this case, the large pond to completely evaporate.

One could hear a chain snap from miles way.

She turned to face where Foxtail's voice had came from and replied to it.

"EXCUSE ME?" she uttered with unbridled rage, her voice held such a ferocity that it put both the Royal Canterlot Voice and Gale force winds to shame simultaneously.

"WHAT RIGHT HAVE YOU TO JUDGE MY ACTIONS? AND I RECALL YOU ATTACKING ME FOR NO REASON, SO WHY SHOULD I FIGHT WITH YOU WHEN YOU COULD JUST AS EASILY DO IT AGAIN?" she continued, her voice keeping it's ferocity throughout her argument.

Her own shouting had almost completely cleared the sky of clouds. much to her own surprise.

'I need to know how to control this before I return to Equestria.' she noted in her thoughts, starting to scan the area for Fluttershy and Pinkamena with her magic.

*Link, still on the ground, took out his bow and notched a fire arrow*

OOC: Kinda waiting for Skyhunter to respond. Can't really do much else at the moment.

"Well, how was I supposed to know you weren't the one who turned me into Withertail?"

Fotail's voice no longer held any trace of hostility, returning back to its standard, tranquil tone. It was by no means loud, but it was seemingly carried along by the wind.

"Like you said, you can't control that form, so I thought you did something that forced me back into it, intentional or not" he said, adopting an almost diplomatic tone, and then changed the subject. "Look, *****ing about it isn't going to help either of us, so how about I apologize and we both just forget about it?"

A wave of life energy swept over plains.

"Heh, told ya" he said in a joking tone, in a possibly futile attempt to lighten the mood. It was followed by a nervous laugh.



Lotus appeared very uncomfortable, not only from taking hits from Metalliform's blasts, but also from within. Dark thoughts were consuming her mind, she struggled to keep them at bay, but her efforts were in vain. At her boiling point, a feral roar liberated itself from inside, much different from her typical lingo.

In a flash, she was airborne, the ground started to rumble, pitch black clouds gathering in the skies above. She couldn't even be recognized as the same fox, and she felt completely unlike herself. It left an awful feeling in her heart, but it was overridden by the corruption of her mind.

"SO YOU'VE FALLEN VICTIM TO CORRUPTION. HOW AMUSING." Metalliform began to charge another attack, this one taking longer than the others.

*Link stared in awe at Lotus*

Ooc: I feel ignored and I dont know to add mysrelf to the story

OOC: Eh. Maybe one of your characters could notice something going on or something?

ooc: ok I'll try bringing up Lighting, as she's the only one with, well, nutthung


Lighting Strike was flying around the place wen she noticed a fight, and not just a fight, she stroke down nearby to watch it, but didn't want to get into it right now

OOC: When's someone else gonna post? I'm kinda hanging, here...

Metalliform released a swarm of bolts at both Link and Lotus.

OOC: These bolts are fast, but not near-instant like standard lightning. Just so you know.

She went under further appearance changes, this time sprouting a pair of blood red, batlike wings and sharp, matching ridges running down her spine. Responding to Metalliform's attack, she folded her newly grow appendages in front of her to defend against the bolts. She was predictably electrocuted, and her planned attack was disrupted. Enraged, an onslaught of fire charges were thrust from her makeshift shield.

Metalliform took a lot of hits, raising his anger further. He began to charge an attack that would be more powerful than any other attack of his up until this point.

OOC: Anyone have any idea how much longer this should go on until Metalliform is finally 'defeated'?

OOC: I would say whenever you want it to happen

*Link was knocked further back by the lightning and struggled to aim his bow at Metalliform*

Metalliform's horn glowed with a blinding light as he prepared his next attack.

*Link shot a fire arrow at Metalliform*

It hit, but did nothing to disrupt the charging of the metal alicorn's attack.

Lighting Strike watched the fight.
"That thing's destroying everything around it, I must stop it, but, how?"
She started to sneak up closer

A Dark aura started to coalesce around the wreckage, lifting metal and destroyed electronics all sorts of objects from the wreck and drawing them into one point above the ruined ship.

Lighting Strike stood still to watch it happening

*Link got to his feet, prepared to dodge another attack, and notched a light arrow*

"OOh, shiny arrows, they can burn everything"
Lighting mumbled to herself, then fired a small jolt towards Link, stopping him from fireing the arrow

*Link fell to his knees and looked up at Lightning*

Link: No! Not now!

*Link shot an ice arrow towards Lightning, then notched another light arrow and aimed it towards Metalliform*

"No do-"
Lighting Strike was too late to stop Link

"Great! now we got a fire!" She tought to herself

her legs where frozen to the ground, Lighting couldn't move

*Link fired is light arrow towards Metalliform*

"I've had enough of this! WHY ARE YOU FIGHTING!?"

Lighting was furious, and thunderbolts appeared in the sky

A dark feminine chuckle echoed softly throughout the area, a blanket of light now enveloping the floating scraps. Obscuring whatever was about to happen with it.

"Oh Metalliform.... just tell us why you want to 'Wipe out all life!' and none of the 'BEYOND YOUR COMPREHENSION' ***t. I won't take any of it." the voice spoke with a slightly sardonic tone. Those familiar with the voice would be able to tell it was Cadence.


"Because quite frankly, I don't care. As long as my ponies are not brought into this and/or harmed, that is." she added.

Lighting had enough of it all, and turned around, she left with a thunderbolt slamming into her, and dissapeared.....

ooc: this metaliform fight needs to end, I'm getting a bit annyoied

A loud cracking sound is heard, followed by a cackling feminine laugh from above. The vixen's voice held a menacing, almost psychotic overtone.

"So, little Candence doesn't want us to hurt her ponies, eh? Well, what if we do? What are you gonna do then, punk?"

It was inconceivable; she was calling Candence out.

"Well, whatever, I've got a robot bastard to kill." A bright streak was seen from overhead. A less observant being would have mistaken it for a meteorite, but in truth, it was Lotus herself.

She had taken refuge in the clouds before, and was spiraling downwards to the earth below. She collected into a fireball as she reached terminal velocity, and slammed down onto Metalliform at the climax of her freefall.

Just before Lotus slammed into him, the metal alicorn released his attack: a massive lightning laser of immense power.

Dust obscured the site of the impact, making it difficult for one to know what had happened to Metalliform. He never responded to Cadence, because Lotus didn't give him time to.

OOC: This seems like a good place to end the battle.

"Well... whatever the hell I was going to do was just ruined. Well done." Cadence quipped sarcastically. Her hold on the scraps now gone.

A flash of light above the wreckage, signaled her arrival.

She slowly descended to the wrecked ship, perching atop the highest point. She simply waited. After a few seconds, she yawned. Putting a hoof to her muzzle.

Ooc: Im out of ideas

OOC: Mmm, you might get things to do soon. I've got a big plan for what to do next. I just want to wait for Skyhunter's response first.

Ooc: good, good

*Link looked around*

Link: Where did he go!?

*Link sat down and waited for his friends to wake up*

Foxtail disappeared into the dust cloud. His vision was heavily obscured, but his keen sense of smell picked up Lotus's scent and he was able to bring her broken form out.

He was predictably appalled; the idea that his mate had passed on was an inconceivable, horrific thought. His heart heavy with sorrow, he deployed his bio-powers in an attempt to mend her, to no avail. Hot tears running down his face, he tilted his head upward and let out a long mourning howl to commemorate her.

Afterward, he took the body in his forepaws and embraced it, muttering softly to himself.

"Please don't leave me..."

Her body tremored, and her arms placed themselves around his shoulders. Eyes still closed, a tiny smile spread across her muzzle.

"I'm not going anywhere without you, babe" she said weakly.

Obviously grateful, Foxtail's eyes closed as he laid down with her, and they both purred happily, wagging their tails with pleasure.

Thud.

The dust cloud cleared, revealing a heavily damaged Metalliform, glaring at everyone. His horn in particular was no longer glowing and appeared heavily cracked. The metal alicorn's body was also sparking.

OOC: Wherever you want, I imagine. Your characters could come after Link and the others, for example.

"Well done, from this fight, you've accomplished absolutely nothing?" Cadence seethed. She just wanted an agreement, or some kind of ceasefire out of them.

"Perhaps we can use dialogue and not fire and brimstone. It'll be doing the universe a favor." she added. Remaining unmoved from her perched position, she lit her horn.

The resulting light was enough to illuminate the area, dusk would arrive swiftly. For she was making it.

[OOC: Wow, I think my posts are getting lazy. They're usually longer than this.]

Pit and the others came across the battle scene. "What happened?!" Pit said in shock.

Foxtail was displeased with Candence's speech, and opened his mouth to protest, but decided against it. He knew there was no conceivable way he was going to get through to her. So he stood down, shut up and sat back to enjoy the show.

"THIS IS FAR FROM OVER..."
Metalliform's body began to shine with a intense, blinding light... Then, with a flash, the metal alicorn was just gone, leaving no trace of his former presence other than the destruction he had brought.

Cadence's reaction calm at first, the soft tone in her voice was a soothing one.

"Okay... you just do that....." Only her eyes betrayed her with how she truly felt.

However, the air around the site began to... fluctuate as the ground started to shake.

"YOU JUST... RUN AWAY! 'This isn't over' ooooh YEAH, YOU RUN AWAY!" Cadence shouted with some difficulty, but loud enough to be heard for miles around her. She was conflicted, parts of who she was were resurfacing, while the other side of her brain was more sinister, evil some could say.

The conflict in her head was strong enough to give her a migraine, a painful one at that.

She hopped down from the wreck and rubbed her head with a forehoof, trying to massage the pain away.

"ˢᵗᵒᵖ⋅⋅⋅ ᵖᶫᵉᵃˢᵉ⋅⋅⋅ ʲᵘˢᵗ ˢᵗᵒᵖ ᶦᵗ⋅" she whispered, the pain slowly getting worse.

*Link stood up and looked at Pit*

Link: Metalliform. We had a big battle against him

"Metalliform?" Ike asked in confusion.

Link: He's a metal alicorn who kinda wants to kill everything...

OOC: I'm wondering whether I should wait for Skyhunter again, or just move on with the first step of my plan.

Despite their growing feud, Foxtail decided it would only be just to acknowledge and assist the distressed Candence, but was ready to draw his revolver if she got any "ideas".

"I saw you were kinda... freaking out a bit there. Do you think I could help in any way?"



Lotus slowly rose to her paws and started monologuing to herself.

"So he'll be back? Well, I know one thing, I'm never using that form again! It just felt wrong..."

She smirked as an amusing thought came to mind.

"Well, at least I can rub it in Fluttershy's face. Heh heh..."

OOC: Here we go then.

In the distance, Metalliform's Tower suddenly became highly active, starting to reshape itself and make itself bigger. Turrets emerged from its sides and it began to destroy the forest surrounding it via Decay Beams, which rapidly cause a living thing to age until it becomes dust. It also sent out Decay Drones with these same beams to cause destruction further out. The Tower's activity spike caused a powerful earthquake that could be felt for miles.

It was as if the Tower was itself alive... and mad.
