"Maybe! Now I have to go." Shadow exited the room and walked out of HQ.

Shana nods.
"I hope he comes back." she said.

Alyx sat up and put a hand on her sister's shoulder.
"He will." she said.

Shana shook her head.
"No. Don't tell anyone, but I'm going to go travel with him." she said, leaving the room before Alyx could reply.

Shadow walked on the path.

Shana sneaks out of the building and trails behind Shadow.

Shadow came to halt "I know you're there " Shadow said.

Shana poked her head out from behind the tree she was behind.

Shadow quickly turned around to Shana "Why are you here?" He asked

"I'm coming with you." said Shana stubbornly.

"Not today" Shadow said

"Yes, and besides, two is better than one." said Shana.

Shadow sighed, he knew Shana wouldn't give in "Fine." Shadow said.

Shana smiled.
"Yes!" she said and she ran to Shadow's side.

Shadow smiled slightly "Okay let's go" Shadow said.

Shana nods.
"Okay!" she says.

Shadow started to think of how the others would take this.

Dark headed into Alyx's room.
"Where's Shana?" he asked.

"She... uh.. went out for a walk!" said Alyx quickly.

Dark narrowed his eyes, but nodded.

Shana looked at Shadow.
"Whatcha thinkin?" she asked.

"I'm wondering how the others will feel when the find out you're gone." Shadow said.

"The only person who would pay attention to my absence is Feather, and maybe Dark." said Shana, looking at Shadow.

"Only them?!?" Shadow asked.

"Yeah. I mean my sis would care, but Inazuma and Kenshi have never really paid much attention to me, and Sango just joined, so she doesn't now me well. I guess Twilight was my caretaker, so she would care too..." said Shana, zoning off.

"Wow..." Shadow said

Shana looked at Shadow.
"What?" she asked.

"It seems to me poeple don't care much about you, unless you're hurt..." Shadow said

"It depends on the person. Dark and his sis Twilight were Alyx and my caretakers, so they'd care no matter what. Alyx is my sis, so of course she'd care no matter what. Feather cares a lot because I always helped her out with injured Nightfangs. Kenshi and Inazuma were always ticked off with me because I played a lot of pranks on them. They might not care as much, though both have a soft side for me. Finally, Sango just just joined, so I'm truly sure how much she'd care..." said Shana in thought. "Mostly everyone would care a little bit if I was gone, just some more than others!" said Shana.

"I'd care for one." Shadow said

"You'd care if I left? But I'm traveling with you right now." said Shana.

"That's a good thing." Shadow said with a smile.

Shana smiled.
"So where are we going?" she asked.

"I guess I didn't think that out........" Shadow said with his voice trailing off.

Shana smiled and laughed.
"That's what I thought. Follow me. I have an older brother in a nearby town that could take us in until you figure out our destination." she said, leading the two South.

"Okay." Shadow said as he followed Shana.

They reached a small nice village with many nice houses.
"This way." said Shana. They arrived at a nice small house. Shana knocked on the door.

Shadow stood behind Shana.

A tall boy with medium length navy blue hair and green eyes opened the door. His face seemed to brighten.
"Shana!" he said. He frowned then. "You know, you're too young for the handsome man behind you." he teased.

Shana blushed and smacked her brother.
"Shut up!" she said. "This is Shadow."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Hiruko." said the boy.

"Nice to meet you to!" Shadow shaking the boy's hand.

"Well don't just stand out there, it's going to rain you know?" said Hiruko with a grin, gesturing them inside. He was more mature, but you could see that he had the same joking attribute as Shana.

Shadow looked at the house. "A nice place you have here." Shadow said.

Hiruko smiled.
"Thanks!" he said.

"Hiruko does two jobs. He's a baker, and a weapons merchant. He makes some good weapons if we ever need them." said Shana.

"How do you handle two jobs?" Shadow asked.

"It's difficult, but I do quite well. I have a friend who helps me out." said Hiruko. He brought them some drinks and food.

Shadow sipped his drink slowly.

"What brings you guys here?" Asked Hiruko.

"Well we need directions." Shadow said putting down his drink

"To where?" Asked Hiruko.

"Anywhere really." Shadow said shrugging.

"Shadowmetropolis is a huge city full of great people. Don't let the name fool you. I've been there and it's quite nice. Shana, you know where the city is, right?" Asked Hiruko.

Shana nodded.

"I guess we could head there" Shadow said "Hey, Do you have paper?" Shadow asked

"Of course." Said Hiruko, handing a sketch pad and pencil to Shadow.

"Thank you." Shadow started writing.

"You're welcome." said Hiruko. "It's getting dark out, so why don't you stay here for tonight and then set out tomorrow?" he asked.
