"Oh thank you." Sybil answered, being relieved with having the answer she was hoping for. She then extended her paw to help the cobra get on Jhen. As they traveled, Sybil wondered what would happen next.
"Well... I have done my good deed of the day. Jack has made enough containers and is going to help Whirlpool treat an injured serval. And we had stored enough food on the mountain. What now?" Sybil asked the cobra, the drought having her in a very desperate mood. Sybil didn't eat too much, so she was sure she could bear it. But she was very worried about the others. And what was worse, she was still too worried about everybody going against everybody. Rose already attacked Stripes once, and Sybil just couldn't shake the feeling that it could happen again. It was going to be a dangerous struggle the months to come...

Shilise huffed "yea yea. You just got lucky that's all" she said playfully.

The cobra slithered over and saud "honestly i don't know. I can work on living life as a cobra since i'm still not used to it yet. It feels wird to not have limbs."

Sybil wondered what the cobra meant by that, when she remembered that the cobra was supposedly a human before. She still didn't believe that story, yet decided to let it slip without saying anything.

When Jhen finally left them at shore, Sybil remembered that she needed to know something.
"Hey now, you have been a couple of days here and we have always referred to you as the cobra. What is your name?" she asked, feeling a but embarrassed that she never asked that before.

He thought about it for a minute and said "i guess i don't have one. I used to have one before my own kind tested on me but i abandoned it when they did. I was called things before but none f them are appropriate for a name."

"Hmm... e it I don't suppose we can call you the cobra all the time, now can't we? Can't you think for a name for yourself?" Sybil recommended, thinking of names herself as they headed to her tree...

He fought about it and said "no i can't.a least not any names that i like that is. do you have any ideas?"

"Well, the only other snakes we have around here are called Skaliscin and Voracivenom, ideal names for them, but too difficult to pronounce." Sybil pointed out, starting to wonder where those two are. It kinda irritated her not knowing about her guest's whereabouts.
"Anyway, I'll try to think of something easier." she said, as she continued walking. It was kinda difficult to think when all that was in her mind was how the branches and leaves below her were so easily breakable, announcing the inevitable arrival of the drought.

"i think croux spoke with one of them a little while ago." he then started to wonder "he should have been back from fishing by now. I wonder what's taking him so long?" he started to worry about him.

OOC: Today makes the RP one month old. And it has quite a lot of posts

"Well, I'm pretty sure he's alright. Maybe he's just enjoying as many fish as he can before the drastic event hits completely." Sybil explained, pretty sure that Crocux, being a crocodile, nobody would mess with him.

OOC: On average, that's about 33 posts a day for the entirety of the month. And we're already 1/3 of the way to the next RP.

Soon, Sybil and the cobra arrived at her tree. She then inspected the fruits, seeds and berries that were inside the containers below her tree, and everything was in order.
"Well then, I'll try to think of a name, in the meantime, don't worry about Crocux. He will turned out soon." Sybil assured, proceeding to get into her tree and start cleaning it up, hoping that AJ wasn't around to have unnecessary play time. She then looked outside... as if waiting for an enormous storm to come. The future was uncertain now. She was worried... for both her friends and herself...

Jack nodded "thanks Jet. I will call if I need yea." And headed off to see what he could do for the sevral.

Shipping blushes lightly "I'd be happy to, Sozen."

The cobra nodded "yea you're probably right. I just worry because of that big mouth of his. It always gets him into trouble and as big as he is I still worry for that reason." In spite of worrying about Crocux he felt safe with Sybil but he couldn't understand why.

Sybil chuckled a bit after that remark.
"Well, I don't think you should worry about Crocux. It's not like anyone would want to go against him. I should know. I almost ended up learning it the hard way." Sybil remarked, still remembering the almost disastrous encounter she had with him back at Sozen's cave, and eternally grateful to the cobra for coming to her rescue. Being reminded of that made her realize that, despite Crocux's more calm demeanor at the moment, she was still afraid of him.

AJ:

Climbing my tree, I return to its warmth and comfort. I remain awake but lay down within and curl up into a little ball. My tail wraps around my body as I relax.

Meanwhile the elephant brothers are rest beneath the shade of a large tree. Their bodies are wet and slick from seawater. The cool water helps them stay cool.

Jaerl and Royal have both joined the Keas. Sunflame is currently sleeping after Whirlpool tended to him. The male serval will be recovering for a while.

Whirlpool continued his work, waiting for the soon-to-be-there Jack. Like the chimp, he was also done making containers for the cockatoos, and he got bored very easily when there wasn't a task at hand, so treating the serval was just the distraction he needed. He was very slow, but at least he got his smarts to make things easier.

Back at the cockatoo tree, it was the same old, same old. Barloc was still furious with Sybil having rejected the offer, and as cruel as it sounded, he hoped something happened to Sybil so that would teach her a lesson in ignoring his warnings. Kali, what was away at the morning supposedly running a few errands, was actually heading for the Haven to see how everything was going there. She rarely left the tree in order to keep an eye on her stubborn husband, but she just had to see for herself how things were going for Sybil and the others.

Jack soon joined Whirlpool and started helping him.

The cobra shrugged "i guess you're right. and sorry about that. He's normally much nicer and gentle then that. he knows better then to have behaved that way."

"Well, no harm done at least." Sybil then said, when she grew curious of something.
"How was I suppose to know that he had such a fondness for mongooses? I'm sure they were extraordinary back at his home, but here, it is a different story." she pointed out, really hoping the cobra didn't get mad at her too for a simple comment.

(I seriously need to do more here ...)

Avius paced around the tree, back and forth, being bored. The barn owl decided to go do something; he didn't think he had ever properly introduced himself to the Sybil he had heard about. "Hey Cole, would you know about where that Sybil is at?"

"well we did know one but what happened to him is what makes the subject sensative. He was still completly at fault for how he reacted. Unless you were told before hand their's no way you could have known and really we didn't have a home. We were always on the move so we never really had a home. That's why we always wanted to come to haven, so we could have a place to call home." explained the cobra.

Sybil didn't dare to ask what happened to this mongoose, since she didn't want to admit that she was kinda glad that she didn't have another mongoose at the Haven.
"Well, we have Sholeh here, and I think she's trying to redeem herself." Sybil explained, really wanting to believe that the mongoose wanted to change since she gave up eating warbler eggs, when she knew that the reason for that was the fear of the sentence Rose would give to her if she tried again.
"But either way, this will be dangerous times. I really want to trust Crocux, but with this drought, I fear that it may prove impossible." Sybil pointed out, still not getting over how Rose had started to react every night.

"Yes, I already know that." Sybil answered, rather annoyed because she felt like she couldn't have any liberty of expression around the crocodile.
"My opinion stands though. Mongooses here are trouble. You should meet Sholeh and see my point. See how she treats Warren, the vulture she has as a servant." she then said, still wondering why Warren let himself being treated so badly.

Shi smiled "yes it is." she moved a little closer to Sozen looking at him lovingly.

After continuing to talk with the newcomer, Sayan and Rose said their goodbye and let the kangaroo be. "If you need anything... just ask.," Sayan said with a smile before walking their separate ways.

"Now... where were we?," Sayan asked as the two returned to their view.

Shi blushed and kissed Sozen back.

Sybil was glad the cobra understood, yet she was now worried about something else.
"I will still be careful around Crocux though. I didn't even insult mongooses that day, yet he still found my comment offensive." she explained, and continued.
"Sholeh tried to have me killed several times in the past, which is why I am very wary of her." she said, then got straight to the point.
"Keep an eye on Crocux. If Sholeh finds out he likes mongooses, she might try to manipulate him. She's quite cunning you know." Sybil warned, knowing how sly and convincing was that particular mongoose.

The cobra nodded understanding her completly. He knew Crocux wasn't easy to trick but still it would be best not to take that chance.

"Great." Sybil exclaimed, surprised on how much she trusted the cobra while barely knowing him.
"This is great. You came like a guardian to us all." she said with a smile, when her eyes started to sparkled.
"Oh? I think I just came up with a name." she said with a wider smile, wondering if the cobra understood her exitement.

"Well, I already mentioned it." Sybil said, wanting the cobra to guess which one of the words she used in her previous sentences that described him.

Meanwhile, Sholeh was tidying up her tree and gathering the lizards she had captured in a special hollow compartment she made on the trunk while Warren worked on the fence, which he learned in his time working for Shadow. Sholeh didn't mistreat him as much as she use to, but she was still rather mean.

He took a minute to think about it and guessed "Guardian?"

Shi nodded understanding "i understand that." and kissed Sozen again.

"Why not? That's what you are for everyone around here." Sybil commented, studying his face to sed of he was happy, amused, or disappointed. It didn't matter though, since she was thinking of other names just in case...

Rose leaned on Sayan as she smiled looking out over the water.

"Did you know...?," Sayan said staring off into the distance. "You are the reason I stayed.. the reason I didn't leave again and truly felt at home here.," he said leaning and rubbing against the tiger.

She nodded saying "ok why not." and she took off after Sozen.

Sybil smiled back, glad that everything was finally settled. Now with the cobra finally having a proper name, she and the others could address him better.
"Alright, Guardian, you better take a long rest. It's getting late." Sybil said, as nightfall was just a little less than an hour away. Before Guardian could leave, she said something else.
"Hey... before the drought hits, I was thinking if you could plan me a meeting with Crocux. I want to get more acquainted to him, you know, get more on his good side." she admitted, believing that she still hadn't befriend the crocodile enough to trust him completely.

Guardian smiled and said "of corse i'd be happy to, as soon as i find him that is."

As if on que with what Guardian said Cocux returns from his fishing trip not to far off from were Sayan and Rose were located. Tierd from his trip he fell asleep on the beach not even bothering to get comfertable.

After Guardian left, Sybil retreated into her tree, hoping to finally have a peaceful night unlike the last ones. She watched the sunset and grew nostalgic, remembering how much many of the orcas loved the sunset. She then started to wonder how their marine friends were doing...

Near the Antarctica, the orcas managed to establish themselves of peaceful waters. It wasn't very comfortable since there were many icebergs, and because the best spots were already taken by other rival pods, but it was the best they could do. They had plenty of food, from seals, squids, strange kinds of fish and even an occasional penguin. It wasn't hard to adapt to except for the cold, but otherwise it was alright. Cairo however, was very unhappy. He was terribly homesick, and as he ate, he remembered how he shared that stingray with Rose, and missed the Haven even more.
