Well, how to use switches and such would be known information. How to use a smartphone wouldn't. I imagine Spyro, the Guardians, etc. would see it as some magical item or talisman, since they'd have no understanding of it and thus would assume it's something magical. Maybe an object with the magic of Electricity considering it's a piece of technology.

He's seen a bunch of technology in all of his adventures, though. I'm sure he would have learned how to change a TV channel by now.

(Oh, dang, look at me. I'm talking about something that hasn't been commonly known to the Spyro series. smilie)

^ I guess the Apes had some technology, but I can't really think of any other time where it was canonically shown in the Legend trilogy that there was technology the dragons understood. Even then, I can't remember them doing that after ANB, and even in ANB they didn't directly have the dragons say they understood it, or even that (brace for possible headcanon-y thing!) it worked the same way it does in our world. (It's not worth debating wether it works the same because there isn't enough that is canon shown to support theories and provide fact enough either way.)

On a related subject, I wish they had kept that aspect in TEN and DoTD because it was cool to see a magical world with actual technology in it that didn't make a big deal about it, but oh well.

Disclaimer: I'm talking about TV and computer technology specifically. I'm sure there are other things in their world you could count as technology, but they don't show any social media sites, internet, or TV networks, and there aren't any electricity poles in any of the locations we've seen, so for all we know they might not understand those at all. I'm just sharing what I think would happen if they found a random piece of our tech based on what's already been show in-universe.

EDIT: I only JUST realised you were talking about Classic Spyro. I thought you were talking about Legend Spyro. smilie I don't know about that, I'll think about it later.

Yeah, the most advanced technology in the Legend of Spyro series was too random. Seriously, twentieth century technology in, what, the ELEVENTH CENTURY?!??!? Seriously, the trains and the dynamite...if developers are clever enough, they can make a new Spyro game that makes a joke out of the trains and the dynamite.

How about Big Red Button Entertainment do it?

http://brbent.com/

Oh my god- imagine how the fandom would react if Spyro got another redesign as different as the Sonic Boom ones are from standard Sonic. smilie You know, after the reaction to Skylanders Spyro.

Was just about to suggest this, because Bob Rafei.

Also, the Sonic Boom redesigns are not actually that different. Certainly not as drastic a change as Skylanders Spyro.

Yeah, but think about it for a moment...even a subtle change can turn those people into bulls.

I think it should go with the subtle change, though. As soon as I get better drawing skills, I'm going to show what Spyro should look like.

Yeah, like Metropolis for example, the level appears in Spyro 2, and is in the Ratchet & Clank series, even though the area is completely different, the theme of the level looks to be similar, and it's a coincidence that the level name is the same, and I just rhymed.

I'm not going to answer this question, but I'll just give little things you should know about each one...

Original Spyro:

  • Prefers to stay mostly on land since he can only fly if he gets a superfly powerup. It only lets him fly for a minute, though.
  • Most popular health system lets him only get hit four times before he gets knocked out, unless you want to go with Shadow Legacy's health system, which is TOTALLY different.
  • Can swim underwater, but the only attacks that work in there are charge and Superflame, the latter of which is powered by a powerup which is only used for a limited time.
  • Can pick up some other powerup shards so he can use close range explosive attacks. In some cases, the shards also give him guided attacks.
  • Can use electricity and ice instead of fire.
  • Forgotten powers: can summon lightning, can spew a laser from his wings, can move objects without touching them, and can teleport without a need for a machine. He can also travel between two dimensions, making him invisible to those in the normal world.
  • Can also use melee attacks, but prefers to use breaths and prefers to ram his enemies.

TLOS Spyro:

  • Can fly anytime, but stays close to the ground.
  • Uses combat moves more effectively, oftentimes using his elements to give magical effects.
  • Doesn't have a preference for breaths, even though his power is mostly through fire. He also can use Earth, Lightning, and Ice breaths.
  • So powerful that he can crystallize people and change people to another form.
  • Cannot swim well.
  • Can use explosive fury attacks, in which he collects particles of an element and then uses the particles to make massive explosions.
  • Has a dark side for his powers.

Skylanders Spyro:

  • Needs to completely change his look in order to use a different element.
  • Almost ALWAYS sticks to the ground.
  • Can swim, but prefers not to.
  • Also has a dark side.
  • Has a form that make him use bigger horns.
  • Not sure, but probably also has a range of fury attacks (let me know if I'm wrong).

I'd like to see the original win, though.

You forgot AHT/SL Spyro, who is not Insomniac Spyro. Of them all, iSpyro's got the attitude to win in a fight. LoSpyro is honestly not that bright and kind of a wuss whose flame and charge attacks are garbage. Even with his elemental powers, both Skyro, AHT Spyro, and iSpyro could take him. After LoSpyro is out, I think AHT Spyro would be the next to go. He's got the attitude but he also appears to be incredibly hungover and not interested in these shenanigans. iSpyro and Skyro are pretty close in terms of strength and attitude and pretty evenly matched, so it would probably just depend on the day who would win (iSpyro might possibly cheat his way to a victory, though).

Spyro doesn't hold his breath underwater, he breathes in it (as evidenced by the bubbles that float away from him).

Seriously, though, read a book or something my friend. These constant topics asking generally inane questions are getting bothersome.
