I'm reading all this and it's scary. How do you do a local save??
Log out of activate or turn on airplane mode while playing. Cloud save will fail, then it will save local.

I'm back!!!
It took 2 weeks, but I just opened my game and found an Activision Support Save waiting for me. Everything is almost exactly as I left off 2 weeks ago. I am amazed. The only difference was Bash. I've had him for ages, but for some reason he was back to "buy". Even though he had been in my Boys Cadette house and I was able to collect him. No matter though - I just entered the code again and he's back. Level 2, but I'm happy enough to level him back up. I feel so lucky right now - I was expecting a much older save. |

Glad to hear you are up and running. I'm on 16 days. After 12 days of no status updates I got asked to provide screenshots of all my in game purchases. They had it within 3 hours. I asked for an update 2 days later and after waiting 24 hours I was told to be patient that it takes a couple of weeks. My tolerance of the poor customer support is running thin.

Pico, it does suck, but you have little choice if you want to keep playing. Mine took three weeks, and then the save just showed up. They didn't notify me or anything. |

I did not get any notification either. Strange that they don't take the extra minute to send off an e-mail, but it seems that's the way they do it.
I'm sorry to hear you are having such a frustrating time, Pico. As I said, I feel extremely lucky right now. Not only is my restored game perfect, but my interactions with Activision were all very positive. I had a delay of 4 days between being escalated and my first e-mail with a case number, but after that, they were very quick. Each time I responded to a question, they responded back within a few hours. To my friends - I still have 97 listed in Activate, but am now down to 78 in the game. Everyone reappeared as a new friend, so I have tons of kudos now. Most were listed last night, but a few more appeared this morning. I'm going to give it a few days to see if anyone else pops in, then I'll go through, figure out who is missing, and try to reconnect. My apologies to the 20 of you who are suddenly no longer getting gifts from me! |

I still can't play and has been the entire month of October. Only check every couple of days to see if miraculous fix but so far no. Do try and gift but have no idea if goes through. Very bummed about not being able to play.

Hi folks, I got my level 38 game back too!!
Had to get help from activision Facebook and although I had to wait a while and answer their questions, they advised me they had retrieved my game and to try logging in - sure enough, there it was! Not without issue - I have one air balloon that won't work and I cant sell it, have had a scares with save and visiting, but mostly good I now backup regularly I was just starting to get my life back without being tied to this game... Ps. Hard to type all this on iPhone |

At the start they asked lots of questions sometimes the same question multiple times, then abt 6 days nothing, asked for status said still checking into issue. So I wait and lose out on alter egos etc.

Am back on. Activision didn't notify me but since I randomly checked I found I was good. Activision and in game list off by 10 so will be reviewing and trying to re-friend. Thank you to all who kept me as a friend through my down time.
