Chapter 25:

Evil

Hektore laughed menacingly, then moved around the ship to reveal a small purple Skyland. There, laying down, was Wrecking Ball. He was hurt. Hektore had done something to him! Wrecking Ball looked at the ship. He tried to walk towards it, but the island he was on vanished, and the dark clouds with it. Hektore whispered something to Spyro. Spyro's eyes started to glow white, with no pupils. His scales turned black, his horns and wings, along with his tail, all turned silver. He had become Dark Spyro! The dark dragon flapped around, and charged towards the other Skylanders. His horns grew, and he rammed into Dino Rang, who sent some huge rock-fists from the ground. Dark Mega Ram Spyro went flying through the air, and landed at Repel-Shell's feet. The Turton stared down, shocked, at the dragon that had mentored him. He had to help. Even if he was under Hektore's influence. Repel-Shell roared at the crowding Skylanders.
"If any of you hurt my friend, you'll all be dead!" His eyes turned a darker red. He growled. Stealth Elf pulled out her daggers. Stink Bomb did some martial arts, then raised his tail. At that moment, a dark version of Wrecking Ball fell onto the ship, and turned to Dark Mega Ram Spyro and Repel-Shell.
"I'm with you." The dark grub said. His now white tongue shot across to Rider, Stealth Elf and Prism Break. Prism Break shot the grub in the mouth, but it didn't affect him. The tongue drew ever close to the mouth. Rider's lance was with Fright, and the skeletal ostrich was absent. At that second, Popthorn burped a huge burp, and it sent Wrecking Ball's dark counterpart flying, thus releasing the two elves and the golem. Rider immediately called Fright, and the ostrich appeared. Rider rode towards Stealth Elf and gave her his hand. He pulled her up onto the steed's back. They charged towards the three now-evil Skylanders. Prism Break crushed Repel-Shell with a crystal, but Repel-Shell left his shell, and ran towards the golem. He smashed the pile of rock in the ribs, and Prism Break fell to the floor. His crystals were dull and so were his eyes. Countdown grabbed Prism Break and ran away, below deck, where it was safer.

Popthorn and Fright were lying on the deck. Fright's leg was twisted, whilst Popthorn was staring sadly at the metal below. Rider, Stealth Elf and several others had been taken by the Darkness. Kidnapped, Skynapped! Wham-Shell cantered onto the deck, and held out a crusty hand to Popthorn. The little puffer gladly accepted the offer, and was given a piggyback, no, crabbyback. Wham-Shell then turned to Fright. He held out his mace. The ostrich then attempted to scurry onto the end of the mace, but failed. His bad leg was holding him back. It was delicate. Wham-Shell helped Popthorn hover in the air, holding him above the deck. He flapped his tiny wings and stayed a flight long enough to get below-deck. The crustacean then grabbed the steed and swung him over his shoulder. Down under, the Skylanders were discussing what to do next.

Chapter 26:

The Future

Repel-Shell woke. His shell was still damaged, but he could clean it up. He dusted the shards of crystal from it, and crept over to the sleeping Spyro and Wrecking Ball. He looked for the captives, Rider and Stealth Elf. Why had he done this? He had just made Dark Spyro stronger! And then when Dark Wrecking Ball came, he helped destroy the Skylanders. He shouldn't have done this. He tip-toed over to the tied up two. He whispered:
"I'm sorry, guys. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have picked Spyro's side...it's all my fault..." He moaned.
"It's all right, really it is!" Rider chimed. "As long as I'm with Stealth Elf here, I'm fine. Now could you go catch Fright so I'll be even better?" He asked.
"What? No, I'm not catching anyone else!" Repel-Shell seemed puzzled. When had he fallen in love? That's weird. He shrugged. He clawed the rope that bound the two, the Powerless Rope, this rope drained all power from Skylanders. As soon as they tumbled out, Stealth Elf stood, crouched and in attack mode. Stealth Elf teleported over to where the some other Skylanders were held hostage. She untied them, and Rider silenced them with a finger to his lips. Stealth Elf grabbed the rope and tied the dark Skylanders up. Repel-Shell then saw that Dark Spyro turned back to his usual self. Thank goodness! This rope MUST be power-draining, 'cause otherwise, how would Dark Spyro separate from the other Spyro?

Spyro smiled, and apologised to the prisoners. The odd thing about this was that Dark Wrecking Ball hadn't changed to regular Wrecking Ball. Maybe this was a Darkness-Formed Wrecking Ball! The Darkness could shift into many different forms, and it had in fact chosen the grubworm's pose. Spyro quickly banished the fiend, and the purple dragon was released. Stealth Elf walked towards him. Repel-Shell stopped her with his clubbed-tail. She walked into it and was winded. She held her head and Rider came to assist her. A blue light raised from the ground in front of Stealth Elf, Repel-Shell and Spyro. All of the captive Skylanders were sucked into the strange orb of light.

All but Spyro, Rider, Jet Vac and Terrafin were awake. Our hero, Repel-Shell, poked the four until they stood up and shrugged the sleepiness away. Jet Vac came over to the tortoise and put his claw-hand onto his shell. He rested it there whilst he geared himself up. It seemed that there was something different about him. All of them. They all seemed old. Spyro was larger and more mature, Terrafin had a tattered fin, Jet Vac's feathers were duller and Rider seemed to be hunched. Stealth Elf rushed over to him. She now had a darker tone of blue in her hair, and had her Ninja Hood off. This was the first time most of these Skylanders had seen her without her scarf! Wow! Repel-Shell seemed slower, his scales lighter and his eyes droopy. The huddle looked at each other, and they all seemed shocked by it. Would they remain this way? What'd happened to them? It sure was strange, this Darkness...Terrafin pointed into the cloud at a lumbering shape. It was circular, with spikes on the top. Was it...Wrecking Ball?

Rider, stop loving stealth, its starts to be hilarious!

Chapter 27:

Drill-X

Wrecking Ball fell from the cloud, rolling onto Terrafin. He thought that these were attackers, until Terrafin unleashed some tiny sharks. This sent Wrecking Ball flying into the air, hovering there, then rolling back down to the Skylanders. Terrafin stood next to the blue ball. He grabbed him and stood him up.
"Sorry 'bout dat, Wreck." The Dirt-Shark said. Wrecking Ball nodded, and said:
"You gotta get outta here! Hektore is here! Please! Help!" The Ball's eyes were baggy, and they seemed more dull. He jumped on Spyro, shook his head, and cried. Spyro peeled the grub from his face, then laid the crying worm on the cloudy floor. He looked into the Darkness.
"If I'm gonna do this, I've gotta face Dark Spyro." Spyro told himself. Repel-Shell strode up beside him.
"You've got me." The Turton said.
"Don't forget me!" Cynder shrieked, running towards Spyro.
"You've got us." The Skylanders said.

The group of elites approached the Darkness. Voodood knew that it had wiped out his tribe. Warnado knew it mean for him to become a Skylander. Cynder knew it had corrupted her. Terrafin knew that it owed him five dollars. Wait, wha? Never-mind...Spyro knew that he could become evil, if he harnessed it. Rider knew-Let's just get on with this story, shall we? Jet-Vac stood there, with his suction gun, pulling the cloudy Darkness into his Vacuum Pack. He used it to reduce the evil, and to clear a path for his friends. He whacked the gun against some metal, then he continued to use it. What metal? I thought this was just a load of cloud...or am I wrong? Oh, that's right. It was a drill that Jet had hit his Vac Gun on. What drill? Then Repel-Shell looked up. He saw two beaming yellow-ish eyes.
"Uh...Jet, I really think you should stop that...LOOK!" The tortoise pointed towards the drilling machine. It was wrecked, but it was still alive. Drill-X was resting there...

Chapter 28:

The Alliance

The massive Drill awoke, and it started to fizz, pop, and BANG! Drill-X eventually stood up, and he looked down at the Skylanders.
"How long has it been since last you were seen, I was losing the beat to admit my defeat, when my systems were all shutting down...." The Drill sang. He stopped singing, bent down to look at the Skylanders.
"You are all old now but I don't know how..." He said in his robotic sing-song voice. Repel-Shell stared right up, and he was anxious to know what this huge thing was talking about. He had never heard of Drill-X, bearing in mind he had been underground for the first fifty years of his life. He gazed at it, then he started to climb onto the fascinating thing. Drill-X raised his huge foot up to his eye-level, and he poked at the little Turton.
"Analysed as Turton. Skylander name: Repel-Shell. From the Isle of Arka. Age: Fifty-one years and ten months." He said, without actually making a rhyme. Whilst he was scanning the tortoise, his eyes had gone red. this had given him an evil look. Spyro flapped his wings and flew up against Drill-X, and blinked. He made a move to grab Repel-Shell, but Drill-X was quicker. His spinning fists knocked Spyro from the air, and the purple dragon fell onto the robot's shoulder. The dragon stood, staring into the lamp-like eyes. He then twitched, stood upright and lowered his wings. He said to the singing Drill:
"How about we make an alliance with you, set you free, so that you can go back to the days when you used to have your own concerts? Anything you want, you can have." Spyro blinked. Drill-X nodded slowly.
"Yes, Skylander, yes, you are right. Maybe, maybe, I'll go without a fight." He slowly lowered Repel-Shell back onto the cloudy dark floor, then he raised his drill to let Spyro climb onto it. Spyro nodded thanks and climbed upon it. That moment, an alliance was formed between the Skylanders and a very strange singing drilling machine.

Chapter 29:

The Final Stand

Jet-Vac continued to absorb the clouds. Spyro, Slobber Tooth, Stealth Elf and Wrecking Ball all walked towards the looming darkness. They all switched into their dark counterparts, and Wrecking Ball started to cluck like a chicken. Slobber Tooth elbowed him, and he stopped making noises. His eyes grew large, and he let out a burp. His eyes returned to normal size. Well, normal for Wrecking Ball, at least. Drill-X then picked the four up, along with Jet-Vac, who was already on the robot's shoulder, and Repel-Shell sitting next to the drill. The drill raised his hand to his head-height, so that the four, with Jet-Vac, could see the path they were leading. The cloud was much thinner now that some Skylanders had taken it on, so Drill-X's way was cleared, well, his view was cleared. Jet-Vac called to the Skylanders below.
"We're near the Cloudbreak Islands! I see Iron Jaw Gulch! It's so close! Hey, Spyro, do you think Marshall Wheelock is still there? Maybe he's Sheriff now!" The birdman said. Stealth Elf appeared next to him, and Jet-Vac still gazed at the mysterious islands ahead.
"But what happened to this place?" The elf asked.
"The Petrified Darkness must've returned." Slobber Tooth gagged, then started to choke. Wrecking Ball did the same. Stealth Elf dropped her daggers, then she fell from the shoulder of the huge drill. Repel-Shell popped out of his shell, and lay where the elf would land. Now that the darkness cloud had thinned, the ground was now as hard as rock, as they were on a Rock-Skyland a few miles away from the chain called the Cloudbreak Islands. Jet-Vac flew down to the Turton and the gagged elf. Dark Spyro dropped like a fly next to Repel-Shell, Jet-Vac, Dark Stealth Elf, Cynder and some others. Drill-X knelt down next to them. He picked up the fallen Spyro and plucked the elf from Repel-Shell's leather-skinned back. He slipped back into his shell. The robot held the four fallen 'Landers in his huge fist, and Rider held onto Stealth Elf's daggers.
"My love...what happened to my love?" He squeaked.

As the Darkness cleared, Repel-Shell stepped out, along with the rest of them. Terrafin punched into the Darkness that was behind him now, and it slowly formed into ten dollars.
"At last. Got it back. Thank you." He nodded. He rejoined the others along with his returned money and Drill-X told the Skylanders to climb onto his head. As they did, the blue light from before burst into their view, and it shot at Drill-X. As the machine fell, Some of the Skylanders seemed to be crushed underneath. The torso of the bot was slowly raised, and it was clear Repel-Shell, Terrafin, Chill and Slam Bam had done it. They were the muscles of the team (that were still awake) and had reacted quicker than the rest. The Skylanders that weren't gagged or sleeping off their bruises from the fallen drill had formed together to help Repel-Shell figure out a plan. But they knew they still had to face Doom, maybe Hektore and Kaos! What could they do about three villains?!

Chapter 30:

Doom's Death

Repel-Shell, Chill, Slam Bam, Terrafin and the planning Skylanders walked towards the blue glow, forming a small barricade in front of it. The orb grew larger and larger. It then started to hiss and shot some of the stronger Skylanders, Cynder, Slam Bam, Chill and Bash. The four fell to the ground, their teeth chattered and their eyes lay open. They had been shocked by the electric orb. It then evaporated and reappeared behind the barricade, shooting the the remaining Skylanders. Repel-Shell then pulled out his Magno-Armour, from the days when he was inexperienced and knew nothing of the world outside his cave. He held it up, in front of him. The volt of light reflected, and it destroyed the orb. A huge blue explosion shattered the Darkness, and the barricade could see again. It turns out that the barrilanders all had a piece of the armour, and had held theirs at the same time as Repel-Shell.

But what was the orb, and how could it be destroyed by it's own lasers? Well, that's where Hektore and Doom come in. Doom had created a small prison for Kaos in his own mind, but instead of capturing Kaos, he had caught a stray island, and it had turned dark. Doom had then set out to find the escaped Kaos, but had instead found some Skylanders outside his castle. That was when he kidnapped Wrecking Ball's soul. The grub had been clawed and would have bad dreams about his own companions turning against him, eating him. He was instead captured in the prison. Doom had used the Darkness to create a replica of Wrecking Ball, but a dark, evil one. Hektore had warned the Spyro, as he didn't want something more evil than him to take over Skylands, slowly. Wrecking Ball, the evil one, had appeared on Cap'n Flynn's Ship, and had tried to kidnap as many Skylanders he could, this was when Spyro turned Dark, and Repel-Shell turned. Doom would travel to this Dark Skyland to take his stolen ones to clone them, and turn them bad. Then he would be all powerful. So this orb was actually Wrecking Ball's prison. It failed to catch Kaos, and he somehow escaped from Doom's mind. Now that Doom's mind-orb was destroyed, so was he.

Is this close to the end?

Chapter 31:

Is This The End?

Doom stared at the cold floor. He took a long, deep breath. He exhaled. His eyes turned a darker red. He sat in his throne he had taken from that Portal Master, Kaos. Kaos didn't have any need for it. His claws slowly fixed around the arm-holders. He gasped, then his ears drooped. His breathing got shallower and shallower. Then he closed his eyes for one of the last times. He fell from the chair, and dropped to the floor, dead.

The Skylanders had now recovered and celebrated destroying the evil light. Dark Spyro woke up. Dark Wrecking Ball, Dark Slobber Tooth, and Dark Stealth Elf soon followed. Now the Darkness had cleared, they switched back to their regular forms.
"I dunno what happened, but it was painful." Slobber Tooth whispered. Wrecking Ball nodded. They approached the celebrating Skylanders. They all turned their heads to look at the what-once-were-Dark-Skylanders-that-had-now-turned-back-to-normal-and-weren't-dark-right-nows. Now that was a mouthful and a half. Anyway, Repel-Shell, Cynder, Rider and Terrafin ran over to them. Rider went into Stealth Elf for a hug, whilst Cynder leapt onto Spyro. Repel-Shell stood by Slobber Tooth, and Terrafin picked up Wrecking Ball and threw him in the air.

Awwww, poor Doomie. He was such a nice doggie, lol.

Chapter 32:

Freedom?

The captured Skylanders ran to Iron Jaw Gulch. There they met Marshal Wheelock. He welcomed them and threw a party. After a few days of feasting and recovering, the Skylanders set off towards Eon's Island. Hugo greeted them. He said that Flynn's Ship had been gone since the day that they set out to destroy Doom and Kaos. That was weird. What could have happened? Spyro and some of the other fliers sped into the air, and they flew off into the darkening sky.

Repel-Shell sat on the mountain-ledge that he liked to sunbathe on. He lay basking on a rock. Bash rolled up beside him.
"Thought you might want this." The rock-like dragon said. He dropped a feather on Repel-Shell's rock. It was Whirlwind's. The Turton gazed at it.
"How did you know I fancied Whirlwind?" He asked.
"Dunno. You just seem a bit...odd around her." Bash sighed. He hurried off to find Flashwing.

Repel-Shell looked down at the feather and grabbed it, placing it in his shell. He stood up, only to see a forest setting on fire.
'Ugh, my one day of freedom, destroyed by fire.' He thought. He leapt down into the trees. Suddenly, he saw paw-prints in the scorching ground. He sniffed them. He didn't know who they were from. Only thing he knew was that he had to stop the fire. He spun from one tree to the other, building up dust, knocking away the fire. When he stopped, he saw two eyes staring him in the face. They were from some cat-like creature, not Trap Shadow or Freeze Blade. Not Doom. They were from a lion. It was a Moltion. For you who don't know what a Moltion is, it's a lion made of the stuff you find in volcanoes. Mixed in with a bit of firepower. She hissed at him. He backed away, then he stopped. He was a Skylander, not a scaredy-cat. He grabbed his tail and charged towards her. It stared at him, and made some sun-orbs appear around it. Repel-Shell stopped. He hopped into his shell and spun a cloud of dustiness in her face. He dropped onto the lion.

"Who are you, why are you setting this forest alight?" He asked.
"Why should I tell you, Shelly?" It growled. Repel-Shell dug his tail-spikes into her throat. He asked again.
"Fine. I'll tell ya. I'm a Moltion, and that's a fire-lion to ya. I was settin' this forest on fire by acciden'. It wasn't on purpose. Who are you?"
"I'm Repel-Shell. A Skylander. Defender of Skylands! I'm a Turton!" He replied. Just at that moment, a large, wolf-like creature knocked down a tree...
