I don't think Toon Link will be in this one. They have him driving the train on the Spirit Tracks stage in the 3DS version. Maybe they'll include him anyway, but he seems to be demoted to a cameo.

Wii Fit Trainer is best

I get the feeling that Sonic will return, especially considering the partnership between SEGA and Nintendo for Sonic. I don't know about Snake though, when you consider neither Revengeance nor MGSV will be showing up on WiiU. But I'm hoping that, with Raiden's appearance in Sony Smash, Nintendo will keep Snake (or Big Boss, maybe). <.<;

Sakurai said that he didn't want lots of characters so the most we can get is probobly around the number from Brawl since he did say that he qould keep it around that, or atleast 40. Since Nintendo and SEGA have partnered I'm guessing ONE more Sonic will come in. My guess is Knuckles or Shadow since Shadow appeared as an assist trophy and Knuckles due to his tough guardian sort of theme. Though this may seem unrealistic, and I personally dont like Snake. He comes from a game where they actually KILL people. Brawl is more friendly and less like that, and with this aiming more toward primary colors it's hard for me to see Snake. I see no more Marios coming in, Dixie is a big maybe, Magnus is possible, maybe Waluigi, Ridley isn't even reasonable, even though I liked R.O.B. he may not return, one more Kirby is possible, I'd like to see Falco out since he is a Fox clone -.-' or change him, Krystal is a maybe, Lucas might be replaced, Ike is likely to be replaced, Pokèmon Trainer is a shrug, Jigglypuff has been there since 64 so very likely, Lucario could be replaced by Zoroark or another 6th gen Pokèmon, Toon Link is likely to be replaced as well, and I guess thats it.

The first eight will probably be permanent, but others could be cut. Some characters from Melee should stay, though.

I just hope we don't get a clone overload again.

I just want to state that I actually like Falco and Lucas better than their counterparts, Fox and Ness. Falco is MUCH easier for me to control; Fox moves too fast and falls even faster from a jump, leading to a lot of accidental deaths. And Lucas hits a lot harder than Ness, especially DAT UP+A SMASH.

Well Namco Bandai is helping create the game so its a possibility. Mario and Pac-Man ahve teamed up before so I don't see why not. Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man, and Mega Man it be like a Company Battle Royale. Plus Pac-Man is easy to come up with a moveset like use of pellets, simple punches, and so on!

I actually prefer Pikachu's look in Brawl.. I mean, I don't even want to play as Pikachu anymore e__e

Sakurai said in an interview that just because Namco is involved in development doesn't mean any Namco Bandai characters should be expected. <.<

Am i the only one a lil creeped out by the wii fit trainer? >.> and i really hope Lucario is still in this but i doubt it :/ My friend had the idea of bringing back the pokemon trainer and by switching colors you switch what pokemon he uses...but that'd be a lot of work

Only characters I particularly want are Rayman as a second guest, Chase McCain for Wii U, and Professor Layton for 3DS.

Otherwise I just hope they surprise me like they did with Wii Fit Trainer.

I think Ness should be on the Wii U version, Lucas on 3DS. Because Lucas' game was on a handheld, and Ness' was on consoles.

Those are probably my top 5, with Sonic being my favourite.

To be honest though, I'm good with a lot of characters in Smash Bros. I was playing multiplayer in Melee today, and realised I'm actually very good with Ice Climbers and Ness.

I also use Falco, Ice Climbers, Mr. Game and Watch, Link, and R.O.B

Sonic, Toon Link, Pikachu, Pokemon Trainer and Wolf.

Mr Game&Watch will very likely return, but since ROB was the joke/odd character of Brawl,(Jigglypuff of 64, Not sure who was Melees) ROB is likely to have been replaced by Wii Fit Trainer :/
