None in matteson now off to Orland. I asked 2 different people and one said the 23rd for release and the other said sold out this morning. She checked in back too. Oh well.

I think I'm done hunting till after the holidays.

Forget ordering LC Shroomboom online! Mission successful! I went around 11 am and by some miracle, they at least 10 left!

In Orland park tgey had like 25+ lc shroomboom. Plus they had over 200 legendary stealth elf's on display. Seems a little excessive since there were almost more legendary stealth's than all other sky's combined.

Lightcore and Series 2 aren't selling as well as TFB had hoped... I assume.

I talked with my friend at TRU last night, he said Series 2 and Lightcore barely sell at that location.

Honestly, in Skylanders 3, I would like to see more new figures, than Series 2 figures. This is what I dream Skylanders 3 will be -

- More than 8 new Skylanders
- only 8 Series 2 figures (the remaining 8 Series 1)
- No new Giants (leave them at 8, so they feel unique)
- More Adventure Packs*
- Make lots of Magical Items and sell them in packs of 4

*Make as many new Adventure Packs as they stretch out the release of figures. If there were 4 waves over the course of 6 months, make 6 Adventure Packs, with one releasing every month. This extends the game a bit, by allowing people to play a new Chapter every month, while also allowing the customer to experience one new Skylander every month.

Instead of characters( if S3 goes) I'd prefer all adventure packs and no characters period. Let the kids get use and enjoyment out of the games they have. Opening all new areas to explore would, to me, be a better deal.

Funny note - I only ever received 2 boxes of W3 LCs which accounts to 8 Shroomies
When I left at 8am CST ((2 hours after open)) All seven of the ones I put out were still hanging there. I even made sure to pull them all to the front so people wouldn't have to dig for them.

I picked mine up at 12:01AM with no one else looking for that figure. I don't think many people know about this release since it went unadvertised.

Lake In The Hills ,IL TRU said nothing till the 23rd. Crystal Lake TRU had one box and only two left on the shelf so I picked mine up!

Congrats to all that got their LC Shroombooms and you lucky SOBS that got the others ahead of time!

Like I said, Series 2 and Lightcore don't seem to fly off the shelves. I hope this leads to only 8 Series 2 figures for Skylanders 3 (the remaining Series 1 figures). Everything from now on, should be new.

I mean, if some dude in Japan can create 100 to 150 new Pokemon per game, I know TFB can get at least 24 new figures out per game. Heck, I could sit here right now and create at least 3 new characters in every element, that won't play the same. That's 24 per game, which will help this game get to Pokemon style popularity. I think the hook with Pokemon, is the "gotta catch'em all" aspect. People love to collect new things.

The problem being - it'll 'cause grief 'cause Acti doesn't seem to want to reprint anything at all...

The series 2 on my shelves are going pretty good - it's actually Sprocket I can't friggin sell...dear god soooo many sprockets!
I have noticed other stores in the area have a lot of W1 still though which I sold through looooooong ago.

Lightcores I've noticed the same thing - they're not moving very fast at all. Then again Aside from them lighting up I feel that in game they're pretty inferior.

Looking at how Acti views sales though expect a whole to set of Giants for Skylanders 3 - TFB have even admitted that they're floored by the sheer number of sales for the giants.

as me and gamemaster78 was saying last night if activision and toys for bob allow these price increases. i can pretty much assure that if they release skylanders 3 that the sales of the characters are going to go down in sales. cause once they reached the 9.99 price that was the most anyone will pay for a plastic figure reguardless of the popularity. the only thing i would buy for the skylanders 3 would be the game and use my current collection and thats it. so if you guys at toys for bob and activision see this posting please consider your idea of raising the price again next year by not doing it. you went from 7.99 for skylanders spyros adventure to 9.99 now giants went from 9.99 to 10.99 you can count me out on getting any of my money. so if you guys want this game to come to a end and fail keep going at the rate your going.

As a prior figure collector - if the figure quality were to match the price increase I don't think I would be lost as a customer.
However if quality stayed the same or worse yet deteriorated then no thanks - I can collect imports....

What we don't know yet is what all the new figure from S3 will do! We have to consider that. In a TFB interview they were talking about having them do a lot more. So let's see what they can push Activision to let them do. I don't feel like it's TFB working the prices...but more than likely Acti.

We don't know what percentage or how they divvy up sales vs royalties

Activision is for sure raking in the majority of the money - then again they are the publisher so they fronted the money in the first place.

basically this is tfb's way of having skylanders available to those after christmas to prevent what happened last year from happening again.

considering the economy and the hike in the price just like gamemaster78 said they are acting like the oilfield raising the price of gas and oil to fill their pockets and i feel that activision and toys for bob are doing the same thing. either taking from little kids up to adults.

I just mean future hikes on actual new products in the far future with Skylanders 3 - well we'll have too see what and why they're asking what they ask when that happens.

*sighs* Today's hunt was fruitless however I did pick up the 2 new Skylander books. Mask of Power 1 and Fire and Water. Found them at my local Walmart when I was hunting for Wave 3

I was just at TRU 45 min ago and ALL the boxes were in their little backroom next to the electronic dept. I HAD to show him my HOT TOY ALERT e-mail to pull out the boxes because they said the 12/23 on the side of them and wasn't told to stock anything.

NOTE: this does NOT include LC Shroomboom released late Wednesday/early Thursday) SOLD OUT AT MATTESON ILLINOIS STORE!

The guy pulled ALL the boxes out and started to open ALL of them in front of me and sadly there are ONLY 4 new skylanders (I stood at the door and seen all of the boxes so he didn't miss any).
