Yep as did mine. I have returned it and looking for the RDT starter pack.

I was thinking that maybe Smyths may be the place to look. They had the same exclusive as gamestop.com, golden dragonfire cannon, and so they may also share the RDT pack. I don't have a Smyths near me, and it isn't online, but it may be worth checking out.

I have since contacted Activision Assist re-asking if the pack is compatible with my iPod touch 3 and if the RDT pack will be available in the UK. So far they have just stated the App will work but the Portal might not, and preceded to link me to the GameStop.com link with the RDT pack.

Really, why must Activision make this so difficult?! All we want is the RDT and we'll be happy, why make two different iOS packs?!

Right bumping this with an official response from Activision Assist on Facebook:

Activision Assist: For now, it certainly seems that it's [iOS Starter with Royal Double Trouble] a US Gamestop exclusive. You could try calling Gamestop UK and see if they'll be getting it in. ^LM

*grumble grumble grumble* RDT where are youuu Tempted to order it from Gamestop.com even though it'd cost an extra £6 :/ Amazon was easier to get.

^ gamestop.com won't be marking this as a gift and it will have the full retail value listed on the customs declaration ... so don't forget to add on the handling fee, vat and customs duty in addition to the price you pay at gamestop.com

It's not worth it JackSparx. Not with knowing Activision may release it as a "surprise" release. Just start bugging them over on Facebook or email about it. They'll have to listen to the masses.

I really don't expect Activision to give a **** about releasing the Royal Double pack in the UK, why bother when they can make more money off an inferior pack?

They did suggest I call GameStop UK and ask about the pack coming to the UK, but I really don't want to have to speak to another muppet on the phone over Skylanders.

Acti (like most companies) can and proberly will ignore one person but may listen to lots of different people complaining about the same thing. Maybe? I'm hopeful for a change

Acti did reply to me this morning and asked how my search has been, so I told them straight out:

So I contacted them and got this response:
I am very sorry this item is not in immediate stock so I can not physically check. We recommend that you contact the publisher Activision directly. They should be able to confirm exactly what is included.

I also happened to be in HMV's flagship store in Oxford Street over the weekend. **They have a portion of the store dedicated to Skylanders, but when asked about the Battlegrounds **iOS pack the staff had never heard of it and check the computer which came up with nothing.

I am not wasting anymore of my time on phone lines asking about products that are not on a particular store's website. **I have spent to much time with this in the past tracking down single Skylander figures and Toys R Us exclusive figures. The usual thing that happens is I call the phone line, go on hold, when I get to speak to someone they haven't heard of Skylanders, have to explain I am looking for a certain figure that they haven't heard about, they suggest I try somewhere else.

I really want to support Activision with this iOS pack, but it is really turning out to be more hassle to find the Royal Double Trouble pack than it is worth. **Of the few stores in the UK that carry this pack, none have the one I want. **It frustrates me that there is two packs, it is making what should be a simple purchase difficult and frustrating."

^ Agree! There is no need for the pack out as it isnt even a S2 pose. Releasing a pack with only RDT would mean alot more sales as it it more justifiable and keep customers happy. Will email Acti later.

Just had a delivery from base.com and guess what no Royal Double Trouble.

It's going back, the same with the one that came from ASDA.

'OniYoji' did you read the rest of the thread? We're trying to find out who's selling the pack containing Royal Double Trouble and you just post about it being onsale at Grainger Games without stating which pack's onsale. A pointless post.

Just saw it in Toys R Us today and no RDT.

The website delisted it a few weeks ago and I really don't fancy going on a wild goose chase to visit the physical store to check. For anyone interested the item code for the iOS pack on Smyths is 125768 (not working on website right now).

I don't give a damn about it if it doesn't have a Royal Double Trouble because this time round I'm trying to get all the in-game variants seeing as TRU UK still Haven't got any SSA Legendery packs yet.I can tell you right now why no-one has RDT:

Thanks!Just checked TRU's website.Still didn't have them though, but a freind of mine said he spotted a couple.I get kinda touchy about the Legendery pack because my mom and I were going to order it the morning after so we could get quicker delivery and the stock had just gone.
Back on topic though, any new info?
