I'll work from easy from hard

What I'd do is....

Play for the first level.

Get to the dread yacht, and load all my SSA guys in.

Then I close mah eyes, pick a giant/new guy, and get 1000 gold on that. Rinse and repeat untill all have been upgraded at least once. Get each of the favorite 8 ( ) to level 15 then get those reposes on the battlefield.

I intend to play on hard, with the hope that the added challenge will mean I get more experience points and can level up more figures, more quickly.

i'll be starting on easy and working my way up through the difficulties. then go back and finish things off. i reckon nightmare may not be as difficult as everyones saying but than again i could be wrong. Actually i hope im wrong for the challange.

Whatever one my son chooses. I'm sure we will play them all eventually though.

I'm going to start on hard mode. I want a challenge but not an insane one, plus I'm only using new figures, not my 34 series 1's.

For the record, even Hard level is moderately easy. I remain hopeful for Nightmare level, though...

Makes me wonder how horribly easy the easy difficulty level is.

There is only one problem with that idea. When you unlock Nightmare mode, you have to start a new save game, you can't switch back and forth like you can with Easy, Medium, and Hard. So, if you want to fight Kaos on Nightmare mode, just for grins, bad news, you've got to go through all of the levels again.

I will use...

Swarm, Pop Fizz, Fright Rider, and S1 Zook for level 1.

Load the rest of SSA in

Lay out all of the new guys. Close mah eyes and pick one. Get it to level 5 with 1000 gold. Rinse and repeat until all are upgraded. Get my favorite 8 to level 15. Get LC Prism Break and the Reposes up to the same level then level up/upgrade Crusher and Pop Fizz fully. Get whoever I can up to level 15 with all upgrades until I put down the game for a universe break.

is there an achievement (xbox) or in-game accolite that requires you to complete the game on Nightmare?

No. In S:G, there are no accolades or any achievements for defeating the game on ANY difficulty. No rewards, except for unlocking nightmare mode. The only special thing is it says, YOU UNLOCKED NIGHTMARE MODE when you beat it on any difficulty.

Are you sure? Hmmmm... That isn't on my game... weird. You would think that that accolade wouldn't exist because they would want kids to able to beat the game too.

Sigh... I will reference the link rather than post them all but there is a cheev for each level and a cheeve for beating the game at any difficulty.

I'm starting with Hard mode, Spyro's Adventure was too easy for me. If it is REALLY hard, then I'll go for Chompy Cuddler to upgrade the new ones like or .

What degree of difficulty is the same as S:SA, normal?

Is that really the 3 beginning options: easy, normal, hard?

I have only played Hard but would expect Normal to be it.

Remember that you can change difficulty on the fly so it is no biggie.

And the difficulties have names like "Chompy Cuddler" and "Cyclops Crusher".
