I think is REALLY GOOD, it's also better than S: SA
Flynn's Ship has something that wants make you play S:G more. Upgrading with Persephone now is better, HC's with Cali are great and battle challenges with Brock makes your skylanders stronger and gives you money!
The thing of collecting Winged Sapphires ALL around the world is now funier and BETTER, not like in S: SA that ALL were in Skyland and some where difficult to found
Elemental Gates are improved
Giants are SUPER POWERFUL
The Luck-O-Tron helps you A LOT, also searching for Lucky Wheels excites you
That game, Skystones is funny! Collecting ALL the stones is fun too! The levels are like some difficult and some not too easy in normal difficulty mode... there are Easy, Hard and Nightmare too
Auric's shop has much, much things to buy, also some with usefulness
