Ebgames taken single packs off wave 1 look at the link at top

I wonder why the bigger retailer sites (EB and TRU) have taken down the pre-order for the singles?

Right, now EB has all the previous TRU listed singles sans Sonic Boom.

Hmm...

Looks like I'll just be getting the booster pack when I go to get Giants.
I may get a regular Chill, there is also an extremely thin chance of me getting Fright Rider.

There is a reason to be mad as I also wanted Flashwing to be part of Wave 1

Pretty disappointed with wave 1. Here are some highlights of stupidity and some highlights of smart choices.

Series 2 Whirlwind Whirlwind wasn't available in Canada until wave 3, so there was HUUUUE demand for her for a while. Because of that, she is now even more common than Drobot in that you can seriously find her at EVERY store that sells skylanders. Nobody is buying her right now, so it was smart they put her in a three pack at least so her singles wouldn't take up shelf space. Still, she could have easily waited until later

Series 2 Slam-Bam Really poor choice. Slam-Bam is a MASSIVE shelf warmer over here (which is kind of ironic when you think about it) so having the legendary Slam-bam AND series 2 Slam-bam at launch is a bit excessive for a character that doesn't sell. I think the shortage of wave 3 really screwed things up because you can't go to a skylander display these days without seeing massive amounts of Whirlwind, Double Trouble, Slam-Bam, and the Drill Sergeant three pack.

Lightcore Prism Break A good choice because in my area Prism Break, Zap and Boomer haven't ever been restocked in several months. Glad to finally get a chance to get Prism Break.

Lightcore Eruptor Another really good choice because he's been hard to find lately. Haven't seen a single pack of him since wave 3 came out, so I'm glad he's being restocked, and not with his hideous series 2 figure.

Lightcore Drobot Any other choice would have been better. Drobot has been on shelves since day 1, and has never gone away. Everyone is sick of seeing him, and nobody wants him anymore. Face it Activision, no matter how much you want Drobot to be the Charizard of Skylanders, Drobot will never be that cool or popular. Partly because Drobot loses all of his cool factor as soon as you see his goofy in-game model where he looks like a little baby version of Drobot. Also Drobot's "pew-pew" lasers don't pack the same powerful impact of awesome as a giant flamethrower to the face. (Going off on a tangent now, but you can't POSSIBLY convince me that Charizard ISN'T what they had in mind when they made Drobot.)

Crusher This salvaged wave 1. Crusher is going to be THE most sought after character of wave 1 because he's easily the coolest. I'll be buying him as soon as I can.
Bouncer Another great choice that makes wave 1 less underwhelming. He's also going to be super popular for quite a while.
Swarm A good third character to round out the first wave of Giants. Not the most exciting of the Giants, but certainly has mass appeal. Good choice.

Anger: Well this is JUST what I needed! 3 months of hype and the character I'm most excited about isn't available at launch! It'll probably be like the first game how my most anticipated character is the LAST ONE released! Stupid Activion! Stupid toys! Stupid shopping! RAAAWR!

Bargaining: "Fine, how about this Activision. If Sprocket ends up somehow being in wave 1, I'll buy BOTH starter packs. How about it, we got a deal?"

Depression: "*sigh* All I wanted was to have the only two characters I really wanted right from the beginning. Woe is me, I shall have to wait another month of a baron game release schedule for something I just wanted to have right away." *Eats massive spoonfuls of applesauce straight from the jar*

Acceptance: "Well, I'm pretty happy with all of the new characters. I was gonna buy them all anyways. I can wait until wave 2. :3"

My EB Games is accepting instore preorders! Just a heads up for anyone who wants to make sure they have everything on day one with little fuss, I'd advise you to look into wether yours does. I don't know the specific figures they are going to allow, though, or wether there are any limits, but I'll probably look into it tomorrow.

They are all awesome, but we need one or two more!

I want fright rider, pop fizz, crusher, and swarm on day one. I also want what ever legendaries they release, so i may end up with L-bouncer. But he's not one i need to have, unless its a legendary one. I also got the starter pack pre ordered so i get jet-vac.
