So some of you were able to get the Regular Dragonfire Cannon early? That's pretty cool and interesting but does the series 2 Chop Chop work in Spyro's Adventure?

Yeah, I've seen the pic he posted before, back when they first showed Shroomboom at Toy Fair. Not cool, dspyro.

I will post REAL pics once mine arrives. I will be opening one of them, while hanging the other on my wall. Best part of this is, the cannon lights up as well. So, based on FGTV's interview with TFB, the toy will light up on the portal no matter what.

I will take a pic of it on the portal when it comes in. It should still light up, despite not working with SSA.

To CLARIFY:

Dragonfire Cannon = Silver with blue fire, available presumably everywhere
Golden Dragonfire Cannon = Gold with red fire, GameStop/EB Exclusive

And no, we don't know if they do anything different in the game.

Mines due on Wednesday, my kids are pumped. You would think the boxes have the big Do Not Sell until 10/21 on the side and they wouldn't allow them to ship.

Well, think of it like this. When those scalpers, who need money to fill their empty lives, get to the stores to attempt to hoard whatever they can, they will be grabbing something you already own.

I look at it like this. I don't need the Golden Dragonfire, as I have 3 on reserve. I don't need the normal version, because I have it on its way. I don't need the new legendary triple pack, because I have 2 on reserve.

If stock is really plentiful on day 1, I only need 3 of whatever triple pack comes out (2 to open 1 to put on wall) and 1 of every single pack to put on the wall. This is IF my friends at my local Best Buy don't help me, which they said they would, and I will be good to go on launch if so.

The only issue I have now, is making sure to get Granite Crusher, which I will pick a certain Target in my area and go to before other stores open.

When you do a search for Skylanders Giants on TRU.com, it doesn't show up. You have to do a search specifically for the Battle Pack. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Took a strangely long time to sell out, didn't it? I think you're right - I'm sure the people who did stumble across it (as you know, you couldn't find it on TRU.com just by searching for Giants) probably thought it was an erroneous listing or just flat out didn't know what it was.

Glad we got in before they were gone. Who knows when they'll come back in stock.

True. Then again, maybe Activision is telling the truth, and they are sending out a ton of everything this time. This will help curb scalping, hopefully.

I still need to get my Golden Dragonfire Cannons, to which I am cancelling 1 and just going with 2 of those... maybe. I might keep everything at an equal number and just go with 3 of everything, despite knowing series 2 Skylanders can switch upgrade paths on the fly (which I still wonder how that will work and how people can tell what upgrade path they're on).

No, I think S2 Skylanders are going to be EASY to find. I'm also guessing TRU finally figured out that they were selling those battle packs early when they were updating the pics this morning and emptied out the inventory number so people couldn't order them.

That does seem likely about emptying the inventory number. I think there's a good chance that they won't come back in stock until the official release date.

I wonder if someone at Toys R Us headquarters is getting a pink slip today...

I would think someone got in huge trouble because street date violation is highly frowned upon by the studios and TRU, in no way shape or form, wants to damage their prime setup they have with Toys for Bob and Activation. It's been a huge boon for them to get most of the exclusives in the form of timed releases and legendaries.

Mine was shipped last week and is scheduled to be here TOMORROW!!! I am super stoked!! If it really does arrive then, i'll post a photo of it after work!!

I just finally got my shipment notice. It should get here this week. (I hope!) Might be Monday the 8th though. :-|
