but he didn't say he mastered earth (but he did)nmso mabey he mastred fire second. plus have you noticed in the mountin of malefor alot of things are green?meaning earth.

In ANB he say from Spyro (Ignitus is fight from Cynder before that):
“ No, Spyro. We can't save Ignitus now. Let's go to the Temple. ”

The green I think was more like little veins of the draconic energy in the green spirit gems. The DM is a dragon, therefore he would need spirit gems to sustain his power. And there were quite a few in the walls.
Just a hunch.

He said to go back to the Temple so he could train Spyro so he would have a chance against Cynder.

malefor cant be in two places at once renember when we first saw him in that dark crystal terrador was there and malefor was talking to them from the crystal and malefor CAN'T be terrador.
