Yeah, it is. Maybe it's to coincide with the max level being 15? If you think about it, the max stats were 100 when their max level was 10, so maybe now their max level is 15, their max stats are 150.

I think it's safe to assume that this will eventually be available everywhere. Gamestop is getting it first, OR, the way I read it, only has exclusive rights to the preorder deal.

They'll probably have it exclusive until around Thanskgiving weekend. Then I can see them kicking it out. Possibly up until Christmas like whirlwind and drillsergeant were last year.

Yes, but we have yet to see a Giant's card and stats...

And they are more powerful because 1: the higher level count, 2: more Heroic Challenges, 3: Wow Pow Powers, and 4: more upgrades.

I think its starting to become the hell of the first game. Im still curious to know if the figures will skyrocket in price in the fall/winter season like the series one figures. One other thing for me its a general concept of maybe something I call "assumption economics" now that series two will be released the market will be flooded with series one because A) Previous unsold stock and children and adults trading/selling of their old figures for series two and the inevitable C) boredom. A few things in favour would be that the figures from series one can be used in Giants and since some are repositioned some will wont need to buy them. Im still on the iffy of actually taking the time with Giants. I did in fact preorder this battle pack because I like the cannon and Shroomboom and also since it was a preorder I can still cancel the shipment. Im border line on it. This pack is awesome to say the least but I dont know if itll make me keep going

If the figures do rise in value- even unboxed- I will consider selling my set and buying the new ones to replace it, but it has been confirmed the Series One figures are still going to be produced, so I doubt it unless they become as rare as variants currently are.

Every time I think about this I come to the conclusion that unless theyre variants or very hard to obtain then they wont be worth much. The best example thats easy to compare is Spawn figures. A lot of them are easy to get your hands on and the remakes are worth more then the original series. If activision makes more figures then thats whatll happen. Personally if youre a completest then getting a common is just as important as a rare. Personally with this preorder I feel if I do decide to keep pushing on, world war I trench style, then hopefully i'll have a good start to the mayhem

They obviously have to do this still because of the first game, but the characters not getting remodels are probably going to be mass produced ( IE: Voodood, Wham-shell, Warnado, and Camo).

Yeah and in he Tech would be remodeled (or series 2) Hex, Sprocket and a catapult, and in the life would be remodeled (or series 2) Cynder, Shroomboom and the cannon again

Not too excited about the exclusive canon. I never have a second player around to make use of the battle arena...

However, all Series 2 skylanders will work in the first game, just without the new move or level 15.

^ This. The only reason to continue is for characters not being remodeled- who should have been in the first place... But making all of them?

If this makes some money, there will be a third game with more remodels. You'll see a series 3, theyll go up to level 20, which the series 1 figures won't be programmed to do, and they remodel 24 again including the 8 not remodeled the first time. You'll need either series 2 or 3 to play, not so much because they are jerks, but because the figures will need to evolve to keep us interested. All the new figures will work with the first game with it's limitations as long as they are one of the original 32 with it's limitations. This will cause the first run of skylanders to be obsolete, and thus not too valuable to non-collectors. The solid color ones won't look that appealing to all but hard core collectors, so they too won't have nearly the value some think they will.

So what's my point? The thing that will be valuable in a year from now when we are talking about a third game and this thing picks up steam after giants and people want more games to use their figures with is.......the game itself: Skylanders: spyro's adventure.

I know, that's what I was saying, it says it's coming next month. So they may release some of the Series Two before Giants. I do think it's just filler though.

Because lightcore reposes have NEW powers that can't be used in SSA. Plus they have a brand new RFID chip that could not be used in SSA. Reposed SSA ones will work but Remember, all lightcores from SSA are also getting reposes that aren't lightcores

Woah! I was under the impression that lightcores just lit up with the "inductionythingyamajig"...all standard reposes have new powers that can't be used in SSA but they still will work as a Series 1.
Why do the remodel lightcores have a different RFID chip? The character models minus the new powers are already in the SSA coding so why shouldn't the remodelled prism break lightcore not work? The portals work under the same system...
And how do you know this? Do you have a source please

It's exclusive in that you can only get it at that particular store. Although I wouldn't be surprised if GFC gets sent to a wide release either after October or at the end of the year.
