I do commissioned work ya know Rand. It's in my signature. It's not like these are difficult to replicate. That one took about 3 hours to paint I think...was one of the more simple ones to do. My wrecking ball was about 5 hours of work...lots of layers of paint.

Nice work xerokills! Are you going to be painting before or after articulating your figures...or is it one or the other and not both? Anyways, keep up the good work!

I'm gonna be painting my entire set of figures first. Then I will start articulating when Giants release. I will likely be articulating the Giants and the repose. I will also be custom painting them upon request.

picked up metallic teal paint just for him...and I had to paint a fake toy fair cynder so the purple is even metallic...it's a pure metallic figure.

It is just perfect!

Found an extra Cynder in my PS3 game drawer...so she gets a chrome with metallic teal finish.





EDIT: Pic 3...those are my "fake" rares...not perfect by any means, but someone requested them...so they'll be some little one's awesome gift.

I find the fake rares hilarious. Also, these paints are great!

I don't ask why someone wants something. I just hope someone doesn't try to sell them as real. I'll be entirely too irked. It also is rather difficult to make the gitd ones. I still have to clear coat the others. Oy...

Updated photos with Azurestarline's Gill Grunt. I made him more alien and gave him pure shiny silver eyes. All are sealed with a flat finish so they are able to be handled and the paint shouldn't wear off with normal use.




What you don't see is some of the details. The buckles and bands on the barrels of Gill Grunt are silver, including the one on his belt. I went with a Black Spec Ops style suit and the bumps on his shoulders are even painted silver. I also added details to the gun including a red dot laser sight and some green glowing accents on the front section of the gun. Overall, I'm satisfied with how these 4 came out. I can nitpick a lot on things, but these all turned out pretty good. Thanks for working with me Azure.

I'm going on hiatus from painting anymore except my own personal 32 that I am repainting. I'll try to update pictures as I get time.

I am currently not taking requests to paint for others at the moment...but here is the last request I am working on for the near future. It's in process and barely started, but I thought I would share a progress photo. It was inspired by someone else who did a Joker Zook. I wanted to take it to the next level. This is the Dark Knight Heath Ledger version of Joker painted in Zook form. Enjoy the sneak peak. Will post the finished product soon.

I wish it was for sale. It actually belongs to a member on these boards already. Wait till you see the finished piece...it is pretty ridiculous...putting the finishing touches on now.

Update: All that's left is the rocket launcher now and touchups. Did the base with blood spatter and pinstriped his pants. Enjoy!

Hand painted with various brushes using mixed acrylic paints...thin layers and metallics for accent...sealed with matte lacquer spray

My current project to finish tomorrow after work. Then on to my next one. Who should I paint next? First one to choose any of the 32 originals will be the one I paint next.

You are the Custom Master. Did the Royal Double Trouble come from them seeing your work? Maybe...

I doubt it did skylandscaper. I think they probably work on 5-10 color versions and then down select their favorite 3. I've seen some really cool color combos by others too.
