CHAPTER 12
RAID


Everyone was winding down. They were finding places to settle through out Core Island and the small islands around them. Some were settling together like Blitze and Zelda, who were starting to show feelings for each other. Fyra was scared of the thought of eggs and more dragons.
She walked towards her little home. She had built a small hut style nest out of weeds and tall grasses. Inside was her cozy bed lined with sheep fur. She curled up. Thoughts of love and eggs whirled through her mind. She closed her eyes, and was asleep.

It was months in the future. Fyra was curled up with a strong dragon. Outside, she could hear the laughter of young dragons as they ran around.
She looked over at the male next to her. He was beautiful with perfect structure, large shoulders, and long wings. His colors mirrored the trees, brown with a mossy tint. She knew she loved him.
She walked outside to see two, beautiful little dragons. One was pink colored. She figured that one belonged to Zelda, because the dragoness laid close to Blitze across the clearing.
The other one was dark red. His structure reminded her of the large male who she rested with. She knew he was hers. He turned his head and saw her. His small body ran towards her.
"Wake Up, Fyra!!!" He called with a familiar voice. "Wake Up!!"

Fyra awoke in her nest. Ferne was standing over her with a frantic look in her eyes. "The island is under attack. Large quantities of cyclops and mabu and drow are raiding!!"
Fyra got up quickly and darted out the door. She saw them. Hordes of people. The cyclopses were lashing out with their axes and barrels. The drow were fighting with their discs and sheathes. The mabu had pitchforks and torchs. It was pure chaos.
She charged into the group. Her mark flared int dark of the night. She flew in and grabbed a cyclops, lifting him high in the sky.
"Hey!" He called. "Put me down!"
"Why should I?" She sneered.
"Because!" He cried. "I'm on your side!"
She calmed down. "Really?"
"Yes!" He shouted. "I'm Clopserice. I realized I didn't want to be evil when I absorbed the eternal ice source!"
Fyra flew back down and set him on the ground.
She continued to battle next a hedgehog.
"Who are you?" She asked in between attacks.
"I'm Slasher. I've been here the whole time how could you not notice me?"
Fyra looked embaressed. "I'm sorry!"
He nodded and continued to attack. She noticed a spider.
"Wh-"
"Bonecrawler," Slasher replied instantly.
Down by the docks, a boat pulled in. "So this is Core Island, Gurglefin?"
"Yup!" A voice replied. "It sure is, Mudfish!"
Two gillmen came running up the stairs. Only then did they notice all the raiders.
"Aaaahhh!!" Gurglefin yowled as he hurried down to hid in the lockmaster cage with T-Bone.
Mudfish looked around. "I guess I should fight!"
The gillman charged into the crowd, throwing mud balls on everyone.

Midnight was fighting like a maniac next Comet and Cyclone, who had just recently joined. Comet was limping from where she was stabbed by a pitch fork.
"Are you sure you ok, Comet?!" She called across the clearing on their island.
Comet looked at her. "I'm fine!"
Midnight sighed.

The fight had raged on for almost all night, but the drove the raiders back. All the stragglers dashed for the great road. Luna cheered in hapiness.
Gropp joined her.
Then so did Ember, a flam spirit, and Rockla, a golem.
Soon, all of Team Sky was yowling with pleasure. They had won their first fight. And they got two new team members.

CHAPTER 13
LOOK OUT DA ZOOK'S OUT!!!


The plane landed in Las Vegas. They were met by a man named Paul. He looked vaguely familiar.
"Hello!" Paul called. "Are you the Sandersons?"
"Yes," Angie said. She nodded at Cody to bring up the luggage, which really held Warnado, Cynder, and Sonic Boom.
Paul pointed backwards. "Your limo awaits."
Angie walked forward and opened the door. She bwgan to set the bag in the back.
"Ma'am, you should put your luggage in the trunk," Paul suggested.
She looked at him. "No thanks, sir. Our luggage will sit with us."
She continued to push the luggage in the back. Paul smiled lightly then walked towards the driver's seat.
When everyone had settled in, Paul asked, "Where are you flying in from?"
"Tennessee," Angie replied.
"Gallatin, Tennessee," Cody added.
"Ah," Paul said.
Cody looked at him. Where do I know his face from? He thought.

The strech limo pulled up to the Plaza Hotel & Casino.
"Enjoy your stay!" Paul called as the limo pulled out of parking lot.
"Wow!" Rose cheered.
Cody looked up at the building. It was brightly lit up by large fluorescent lights. It shone in neon colors. "Woaah,"
"Cody, Let's go!" Angie called from the door.
They walked in the door. They could the slot machines chinging, the men laughing, the music blaring, the gamble tables spinning.
Angie walked up to the counter. "Hi! Reservation for Sanderson."
The lady looked up. "Mmmhmm. Okay, your room number is 3-12 on the third floor. Here is your key. Enjoy!"
Angie looked back at her kids. "Let's go."
They walked towards the elevators. Rose dashed forward and pressed the up button. The elvator on the right opened up. The all walked in.

"It feels so nice to get out of tat suit case," sighed Warnado.
"Yeah," Cynder agreed. "It's cramped in there!"
"Well you guys have to stay here," Angie demanded. "I'm going to go find Zook." She pulled out her iPhone. "Where'd you say he was again, Cody?" She asked as she called the taxi place.
"The Eiffel Tower look alike," Cody answered.
Kay, I'll be back soon," She said. "Love you!"
She walked out the door.

Angie got into the cab. Suddenly, the back door opened. Someone got in. The door closed with a bang.
"Hey!" She said as she turned around. "You can't ju- Rose!"
Rose looked up at her. "Hi, mommy!"
"What are you doing here?!"
"I thought you might want help with Zook!" Rose said.
"Ssshh!" Angie shushed. "Not everyone knows about him."
The cab driver got in. "Where to?" He grunted.
"The Eiffel Tower look alike," Angie said.
The driver was a thick man with 5 o'clock shadow. He had a bald head and a cigar in his mouth.
"Excuse me sir," Angie said. "Could you please not smoke that? My daughter is in the car."
"So?" He groaned. "It's good for her."
"No, it is not!" She demanded. She pulled out her phone.
"Woah, ma'm," He said. "What are ya doing?!"
"I'm calling Sunshine Cab Company," She stated. "And reporting bad service."
"Oooh," Rose said.
"Fine, ma'am," He said. "I'll spit it out!" He rolled down the window and threw out his cigar.
"Humphh," Angie groaned.

When they pulled into the Eiffel Tower parking lot, It was pretty evident that Zook was there. There were bursted fire hydrants with bazookas in them. The whole area was deserted.
"Thank you, sir," Angie said as they stepped out.
Rose was jumping up and down, as if she wanted to say something.
Once the cab drove off, Rose exclaimed, "Mommy! Look! It's Zook!"
Over towards the tower, Zook ran around.
"Hey," He said. "Where'd all the people go?"
Rose dashed forward. "Hey, Zook!"
The bambazooker stopped and looked. "Oh, hey! Yay! Someone!" He dashed towards her. "What's your name?"
Rose giggled. "I'm Rose!"
Angie looked at him. "I'm Angie. We need you to come with us."
He looked confused. "Ok, I guess."

CHAPTER 14
HAWAII


This plane ride was slightly better. Cody watched movies the whole time. His iPad was charged completely up and he had just bought Skylanders Cloud Patrol. He was playing as Trigger Happy.
"Hey, little man," Zook said. "What cha doing, playing as Trigger Happy and not Zook the almighty?"
"I don't have your web code," He replied. "I can't play as you."
"Have you tried 1234-5678?"
Cody facepalmed.
Rose was playing skylanders on a television. Her Stealth Elf was fighting the stone golem. Warnado was looking at his toy.
"I look hot!"
Rose grunted. "Yeah, and Boomer's a super model."
Warnado looked offended..
Cody pulled out his 3DS. It was the special Zelda edition with the gold markings.
He turned on Skylanders and went to Aurora Peak. He had never beat that level completely. All others had all 5 radiance crystals. He was stuck on Hektore's challenge.
Cynder cme up to watch. "I remember when we fought Hektore. It was so nice to go to the Radiance Isles. That place is pretty."
Warnado nodded in agreement. So did Zook.
Cody reached the end. "Woo!"
"Attention!" Angie called over the speaker. "We are approaching Hawaii. You may open your window and look."
Rose pulled her cover up. "Pretty.."

They taxied into the airport. As they stopped, Angie walked out of the cabin.
Cody got up and pulled out the suit cases.
"Alright," He called. "Skylanders into your cases!"
"Actually," Angie intervened. "I want them to stay on the plane."
"Why?" Rose cried.
"Because we aren't going to stay as long."
Warnado looked at the T.V.. "I think I'll be fine," He said as he slowly inched towards the controller.
Cynder walked toward the back, where there was small beds. "I haven't slept since Tennessee."
Sonic Boom followed them to the door. "I think I will do some flying."
Angie looked a little upset. But she nodded.
"I'm going to stay with them!" Rose said while she played with Warnado.
Cody and Angie walked out the door.

They walked through the airport. They reached one of the smaller terminals, where they took their seats on a tiny plane.
The flight was short. They made it to the big island. The volcano was visible from the airport.
The taxi driver was reluctant to take them there, but he agreed when Angie raised the price.
They drove out till the rode ended and large hardened lava began. The cab skidded to a halt. Angie stepped out followed by Cody.
"Thank you," Angie said.
He nodded and sped down the road.
A man walked out from behind the buildings. Cody knew he looked familar. He felt the same way as he did with Paul back in Vegas. He couldn't help thinking back to Rose on the plane.
"Ma'am!" He warned. "You must leave! The lava beast is attacking!"
"It's ok, sir," She said. "We will be fine."
The man looked worried. "Ok, ma'am. If you need any thing, my name is Kau."
She nodded and then procceded.

"Mom," Cody said. "That tiki looks familiar."
The tiki stood there, still as a rock. Thinking nobody was looking, it got up and hobbled two feet to it's left.
"Wait," She said. "Isn't that-"
"Double Trouble!" Cody called out.
The tiki got up at the mention of his name. "How do you know my spectacular name?"
I play skylanders," He said. "On our plane is Warnado and a couple others."
"Oh," He said. "Well I trust you're looking for Eruptor?"
This time, Angie replied. "Yes."
"Well the lump is asleep behind the hut."
Double Trouble didn't have to say any more. Cody dashed back to him. "Whoa!" He said.
The lava beast was black. Because he is like a volcano, when he is dormant, He is cold. He turns into a rock.
Cody cautiously touched him. Cold as stone.
"Mom!" He shouted. "We can grab him!"
Angie ran after him. She reached down and picked him up.

They were back on the plane. Angie began to fly again.
Cody thought for a moment. "That's 6 down, 28 to go!"

CHAPTER 15
STRIKER PART I


Fyra kept dreaming of the dragon. She knew he had something to do with her life. She had to find out.
"Are you okay?" Ferne interrupted her thoughts.
"I'm fine."
"Do you want to go for a walk?"
"Sure. That would be nice."
"Where should we go?"
"You girls are going to the Acorn Woods," Hugo said. "With Midnight's group."
"Why?" Fyra complained.
"To stop the attack on our Life Base that protects the Life Source. Now go!"

The small group landed. They were Midnight, Fyra, Ferne, Luna, Mushuck and Blitze.
Fyra could see that parts of the small building were engulfed in flames. She didn't know how they could stop that while fighting through the hoards of trolls and the hidden drow. She saw a dragon laughing in the midst of it all.
Arbo came running out from behind a tree. "Oh thank goodness your here! That Striker needs to be stopped!"
"Which one is Striker?" Blitze asked.
"That evil dragoon there in the center!" Arbo laughed.
"You mean dragon?" Mushuck corrected.
"Yeah," Arbo laughed. "Sure."
Midnight looked angry. "Could stop goofing round and tell us what to do?!"
Arbo looked at her. "Attack!" The tree ran behind a large tree.
Midnight started to direct orders. "Luna, you go stop the fire. Ferne, go join your fellow Lifes. Fyra and Blitze," She looked at her fellow dragons. "I want you to go destroy the trolls' cannons. Mushuck, you and I will fight the drow."
Every one nodded.
"Ok," Midnight said. "Dismissed."

Rockla emerged from her nest on Clay Island, the designated Earth island. From where she was, she could only see Skull Island, the Undead place. She watched as Toothbite, her friend and travel companion.
She walked towards the teleport pad. Core Island was blank.
"Where is everyone?" She asked Hugo.
The mole looked surprised. "You didn't know? I sent a small group on a mission to the Acorn Woods."
"Oh,"

Blitze walked slowly besides Fyra. The trolls were on the other side of the wood line.
"Where are the cannons?" Fyra whispered.
Blitze shrugged.
Fyra sighed.
"Wait!" Blitze whisper exclaimed. "There they are!"
The cannons stood, tall and rusted, in front of the camp.
"How are we supposed to destroy them?" Fyra asked.
Blitze looked at her. "All we have to do is shoot them from a far."
"But look," Fyra said.
Trolls milled around the area, completely blocking the cannons.
"We could climb a tree," Blitze suggested.
Fyra nodded in agreement. She darted to the closest tree and lodged her claws in a branch.
Blitze went to another one. Soon, both dragons were perched high in the trees.
Fyra began to mouth out the countdown. Three. Two. One.
Blitze shot a burst of solar energy. Fyra shot fire.
BOOM!! There went the first one. BOOM!! There went the second. then third. then the last one.
"Wooohh!!" Fyra called as they flew into the sky.

Striker heard the loud booms. Huge plumes of smoke rose in the air. The troll cannons were blown up.
"Stupid skylanders," Striker snarled. "But you haven't won. You still have me to beat. Which you won't!"

Acorn Woods is Falling Forest. I figured that it was only falling when the trolls were chopping it down, so I named it after the acorn in the Great Stump.

CHAPTER 16
STRIKER PART II


Luna flew towards the building. She had to stop that fire before it destroyed the Life Source. She shot a large water ball at the building. She couldn't stop it she needed help. But no one was around. She was alone nd the Life Source was doomed.

Midnight was scared and happy. Striker was back. I remember when, she thought.
Mushuck was next to her. The rat was shaking.
"It's not cold," She said.
"I know," He said. "I'm scared."
"Why?" It's just a battle."
"I never fought in a battle before."
Midnight was shocked. Well, she thought. He's never been anywhere except with Blitze and Core Island.
The rest of the small hike through the woods was silent. The drow were gone. Unless they could survive the blast from the bomb Mushuck had left.
They could see the Life Source from where they were.
Midnight heard a noise. She turned around and bared her teeth.
"Hey!" Fyra exclaimed. "It's just us!"
Midnight sighed.
"We destroyed the troll cannons," Blitze reported.
Midnight nodded. She then pointed towards the Life Source. Blitze nodded.
Mushuck looked up. "Oh no,"
Everyone turned their heads up. A large red dragon flew towards them. "Skylanders! Oh, skylanders! Come out, come out, where ever you are!"
"Striker!" Midnight spat.
"Oh," Mushuck said. "I was pointing towards the cloud shaped like a bunny and the other one shaped like a sea lizard. But th-that works too."
"Those clouds," Fyra said. "They aren't clouds. It's Flaffy and Serico! And look! Leokon and Furor!"
The four Team Sky-ers landed around them.
Serico saw the fire. "I should go." She said. Midnight nodded.
Striker noticed the other Sky-ers.
"Ready," Midnight asked. They all nodded.
"Attack!"
The dragons took to the skies for an aerial attack. Everyone else charged from the ground.
Mushuck shot twin rockets at the dragoon. Leokon charged a shadow ball. Flaffy shot a fire ball.
The dragons began to shoot too. Furor shot a magic ball. Midnight blasted some energy right smack dab in his face. Fyra shot fire and Blitze shot solar energy.
Striker flinched as all the attacks hit him. "You have not won. I summon my evil minions of pure utter terror!"
Three dark shadow-y beings rose from the earth. They looked like Troll skeletons.
Three more rose. These were dragons.
"I am Skull!" One called.
"I am Bone!" The next called.
"I am Kidney!" The third called. "Wait, guys I want a new name!"
"Your name is Spike you idiot!" Skull snapped.
"Ok. I am Kidn- I mean, I am Spike!"
Midnight began to give orders. "Fyra and Leokon, take Skull. Blitze and Mushuck, take Bone. Flaafy and Furor, take Spike. I got Striker."

Luna was shooting lots of water. She couldn't douse the rising inferno. All hope was lost.
"Need some help?" Someone called from the ground.
"Serico!" Luna shouted as she hustled towards the earth.
"I came to help you stop this," The serpent explained.
The pair charged towards the building. They shot water together.
"Look," Luna said.
Across the clearing, the Life Team Sky-ers were bringing buckets of water from the creek.
Luna and Serico continued to soak the blaze.
In a few moments, the fire was gone. "Woooohhh!" They all cheered.

Skull, Bone, and Spike didn't stand a chance. They were gone in seconds along with the skeletrolls.
Everyone charged at Striker to find tht he was fleeing with large marks going down his sides.
"We- we won!" Mushuck called.

CHAPTER 16.5
BOULDER


The small band of Team Sky-ers began to leave.
The baloons, piloted by Mudfish and Hocus, landed on another island a little ways away. The growth of trees, spanned across about 50 small and large skylands, prevented them from landing any nearer.
Fyra moved close to Blitze. Dangerously close. It's just because the cold, she made herself think. As an act of caution, she moved a few feet away.
Blitze looked a little hurt, but the cold must have shaken the feelings way, for he continued moving.
Fyra moved towards Luna. "Hi."
"Oh," said a startled Luna. "Hi, Fyra!"
Midnight turned around. "Come on people! Move a little faster!"
Fyra began to fly, but then halted.
"Fyra," Blitze snapped. "We need to keep moving!"
"I'm-I'm sorry!" She shouted, still not moving. "But I've got to take care of something!"
Fyra, her wings beating heavy with excitement, flew the opposite direction.
A large prison balloon sat over a few skylands.
About ten cages sat on the deck. Creatures from a lion to a native jungle sat in them. Expressions of despair spread wide across their desperate faces.
She landed on the deck.
"Please don't hurt us!" One cried.
"We will serve Malefor, we swear!" Another wailed.
"Yeah, just don't kill us!" The small elf, in a gown decorated with flowers screamed.
Fyra looked into her eyes. "Do think I would you guys?"
A deep voice behind her rumbled. "Well, maybe. How do we know you won't kill us?"
Fyra spun around. "Well, excu-" She froze. Meromies flooded her mind like pool.
He was beautiful with perfect structure, large shoulders, and long wings. His colors mirrored the trees, brown with a mossy tint.
This dragon shared the features to that dragon. He beared an uncanny resemblence to that one.
"Y-you," Fyra stuttered. "I-it's you."
The dragon puffed out his chest. "So you know me? Well I do not recognize you."
A small ferret bellowed his tiny voice above them all. "Enough small chat! Get us out of here!"
Fyra jumped. "Oh yeah!"
The fire mark illuminted the night sky. Fireballs hit all the cages. The locks clattered on the ground.
All the prisoners exited their cages. "Let's go!" The lion, who they could now see was part dragon, said.
The group led themselves across the jungles. They walked across large felled trees that spanned large gaps.
"I'm Boulder," The large brown dragon said.
"I'm Fyra."
"You know me, don't you?" Boulder said. "How?"
Fyra stayed quiet for a moment. "A dream. I saw you in my dream."
Boulder took it all in as Fyra explained the story. "What does that mean, though? We're supposed to be together?"
"I-I guess so," Fyra sttutered.
"Well," Boulder began. "Fate has brought us together. But don't worry, I'm not disappointed on who the brought me."
Fyra stomach was in butterflies. She tried to wrap her tail around his. Expecting him to flick it away, she was shocked we twirled his around hers.
Happiness swelled in her. She rubbed her head against his side. I have found him, she thought. I have found the one I love.


Just in case any one is confused:

• When I say jungle or mountains or deserts, I mean large chains of islands strung together by bridges of some sort.
  
• As seen earlier, there are 8 islands surrounding Core Island. One for each element.
  
• The Lifes have built a small fortress guarding Great Acorn in Acorn Woods. (Falling Forest) The other elements will continue to do so soon.
  
The people rescued are:

• Aroma, the Elf in the gown.
  
• Leo, the lion/dragon.
  
• Widget, the ferret.
  
• Nightwing, an owl/bat.
  
• Frostbite, Sunburn's sister.
  
• Sgt. Stinger, the bee man.
  
• Jin, the storm djinni.
  
• Boulder, the dragon.
  
• Coral, Zap's little sister.
  
• Carrikosta, a fire lizard.
  
• Nutz, the monkey.
  
• Beast, a hellhound, and his mate and pups, Dahlia, Fang, and Lillith.
