Nina Reference

MEET NINA.
Nina is a drake, or a dragon without wings. She's her own character, but can also be a fan skylander if I want her to be.
All that is muscle. She's not fat. >.>
And that pink-ish writing is a joke, like she wrote it in herself.

My basic idea for her history is that she was the Duchess of WildWing, a small duchy off of the Mountains of Starlight. When she was born, she was what you would expect from any little girl: cute, sweet, innocent. She was growing into what you would generally expect from anyone in her position ... until she turned 15. When she hit age 15, she started becoming more of a tomboy. She insisted on getting battle training and elemental practice. When she assumed power as Duchess, she was strong and aggressive. She's been expending her territory, to the point where some people nicknamed her the 'Duchess of War', until a nearby kingdom battled and defeated Duchy, taking the territory it had.

Interesting character. Her limbs are.....fat..... If you want to show muscle, try to draw some slightly rounded curves on their arms. Y'know, and have the lines sort of glide into the arm just a little. Kinda like this: (I claim no right to this picture. It was found off of Google.)
If you look at the arm shape, it's slightly arcs and then bumps back up and then arcs and you get what I mean?

While I see what you mean, that is shown by shading and shadows, which are not included in the piece. Plus she's fairly thick (not fat), and I'm not getting into detailed muscle structure.

I don't mean shading but y'know, bulge some things every now and then. Anywayz, great job as always. I like Nina's expression.

Simple Rianua Reference

Because I need one.


A few points about this:
1) THIS IS FOUR PICTURES. YOU BETTER APPRECIATE IT!!!! (lol, jk ...)
2) Snow Leopard Rianua has a belly piercing? YEAH. Dunno when that happened! It sort of came with the body, so don't blame Ria.
3) Yeah, I need this so I can remember all the spots on Snow Leopard Ria and all the spikes on Dragon Ria.
4) The background is just a simple gradient. I made it on GIMP. It's there because the white background would mess up the white/gray colors I need to put up there.
5) "Over 6000 years" doesn't even begin to cover how old she is. Don't ask how old she is, because I don't think she even knows. Remember, her Origin form was one of the first species of creatures on the planet, and she was about the fifth generation of them. But the good thing about being so old is she's seen many old magics and things of that sort.
6) Yes, almost every one of Ria's forms here (excluding Snow Leopard Ria. She's too tough to cry) is crying. Why? Well, if I knew everyone (excluding a certain Duchess of War) was dead, I'd be fairly sad. But thankfully she's almost forgotten about that by now. She knows to be strong.

Yeah, yeah, you all are probably sick of seeing Rianua pictures by now. Don't worry, I'll only be drawing 2-4 more pictures of her, depending on how I feel and if this week's Random Paring includes her, and then I'll give her the break she needs. Seriously, she's tired. Three hours of sleep a day isn't a very good sleeping schedule. @_@

Snow Leopard Ria has a belly piercing? I can't see or tell in that picture....It just looks like a normal..well...bellybutton to me.
I like how the background contrasts with Ria's main color and makes it well, *ahem* 'pop' a bit more. great job! You do heads really well I must say.
