CHAPTER THE SEVENTH:Overdue
Spyro looked at the two dragons and griffin before him. Camo, Cynder and Sonic Boom were asleep. It was two o'clock in the morning. Spyro felt guilty. Should he tell her? He didn't know. He didn't know whether he could take the look on Sonic Boom's face. Slowly, the griffin was waking up.

"Sonic Boom..." Spyro started.
She turned. "Yes?"
"I have something i need to tell you."
"Really?" Her eyes lit up.
"It's about... You. Your love life. I'm sorry, I feel really-"

Sonic Boom interupted. She seemed to have the wrong idea.
"Oh Spyro! I feel the same way! Go on! Don't be afraid. Say those three words!"
"What?" Spyro asked.
He was very confused. What was she going on about? Then he realised. Spyro was trying to ask for forgivness, but she was talking about love!

"Wait, wait, wait. I'm not talking about that! I need to say sorry..."
Now Sonic Boom was confused. "What about?"
Spyro sighed. "Two hours ago, I flew over to Munition's Forge. I met someone there. And I did what thought was best. But I don't think you'll like it."

"Who was it? What did you do?" Sonic Boom asked suspiciously.
"The person was Malefor. I let him help us."

Sonic Boom listened. Then as he finished this sentence, it happened again. The Supersonic had activated! But why? There was no danger...

Sonic Boom looked at the sleeping dragons. There was a small bomb just resting on Cynder's head. A bomb...

"Cynder!" Sonic Boom shouted.
Cynder opened her eyes, stood up and dragged Camo away from the explosive. The bomb exploded and the Supersonic ended. The wall collapsed. Four people walked through the ruin. Gill Grunt pointed his harpoon gun at Spyro.
"You're due a harpoon!" Gill Grunt cried. "Overdue..."

CHAPTER THE EIGHTH:The death of death
"Boys. Grab them!" Gill cried.
Eruptor grabbed hold of Cynder. Boomer struggled with Camo. Trigger Happy sat on top of Sonic Boom.
"Now there won't be any of your godforsaken tricks! Prepare to die!"
"Wait!" Spyro cried. "Why do this? Why are you so bent on destruction? Tell me why!"

"Why? Because of YOU!" Gill Grunt cried. "I was around saving the day TEN WHOLE YEARS before you were even BORN!"
"What?"
"That's right. Before you hatched, I was the hero!"
"Then why? We're on the same side!"
"Because you came along and stopped that! Even as a youngster, you were able to defeat giants! By the time you were a teenager, YOU were the hero! Now nobody recognises me! You know, I used to have an actual NAME you know! But now, everyone has forgotten it. They just call me Gill Grunt. Grunt! Do you know how that made me feel?"

Spyro looked at him in shock. He always thought he was doing the right thing, saving the day. But now, he just looked like a selfish fool. Spyro looked down. How could he? He felt even more guilty than before. Camo was struggling.
"Dissiliunt! Keep him down!" Gill Grunt shouted.
Boomer nodded, then used a stun grenade to stop Camo struggling.
"Then who are you? What is your name?" Spyro asked.
"Me? Ultionem. Learn it. Remember it. It will be the last name you ever hear! DIE!"

Gill Grunt pulled the trigger. Ten harpoons flew out again. But Spyro was ready. He created a wall of earth to protect himself. But the shield didn't last long. Razor sharp ice shards battered into it, knocking it down. Spyro skilfully dodged.
"I've given my hose a little upgrade as well. The chill may also kill the heat you know. Try this!"
Gill Grunt let loose a gigantic blizzard in Spyro's direction. Camo was pinned down by Boomer behind him. He was done for.

Sonic Boom looked at Spyro in horror. Countless shards rushed at him in slow motion. The Supersonic! Maybe there was a chance to save Spyro... But that damn Trigger Happy was on top of her. She looked around for options. Camo seemed to be... breaking free!

Camo grew a melon and exploded it in Boomer face. Then, as fast as a melon in a Ferrari on the motorway, Camo launched a melon at Trigger Happy. The gremlin rolled off of Sonic Boom in shock. Now was her chance! She seized the opportunity and flew at god speed towards Spyro. She barged him out of the way for the second time. Safe again. Gill Grunt turned in shock. He was very angry. But then, he started to smile. He started to grin. He started to giggle. He started to chuckle. He started to laugh.

"You're as mad as Gurglefin!" Spyro cried.
Sonic Boom was confused. Why hadn't the Supersonic stopped yet? Spyro was out of danger...
"Oh am I?" Ultionem laughed. "Well why not see what your girlfriend thinks! Ha ha! Come on boys! We're outta here!"
The four pirates jumped out of the ruined wall and left in their ship.

Sonic Boom turned around to see what Ultionem was talking about. Then she saw. The countless ice shards hadn't stopped. They had continued moving. That was why the Supersonic hadn't stopped. Spyro and Camo turned to look. The shards crashed. Cynder gasped. The black dragon fell to the ground, blood pouring out of her still corpse.

CHAPTER THE NINTH:An awkward truth
"CYNDER!!!" Camo cried.
The plant dragon sprinted towards Cynder's body. Camo shook her. Nothing. He shook her again. Still nothing.
"No... No, it can't end like this..." Camo whispered.
Tears raced down his cheeks and fell on to the floor. Camo put down Cynder's body. His face of sadness and misery turned to anger.

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" he shouted.
Camo charged out of the castle as he attempted to grab onto the ship the pirates were escaping in. Ultionem peered over the side.
"Servus! Deal with this bug," Ultionem ordered.
Eruptor walked over to Ultionem. Eruptor, or Servus, as that was his name, fired a flaming missile out of his mouth. Camo, powered by pure hatred, expertly dodged and again attempted to grab the ship. Another failure.

"Servus, you idiot! Get lost! Dissiliunt! Dynamite!" Ultionem commanded.
Boomer, or Dissiliunt, handed a pack of dynamite to Ultionem. The gillman smiled. He threw the stick at Camo. Hit. But it hadn't exploded yet. Camo tried to get rid of it, but it had stuck to Camo's body! It exploded.
"Progressio! Finish him!"
Trigger Happy, Progressio, fired a ton of bullets at Camo. The ship flew away.

Camo was not dead, but very weak. He was unable to walk, and was heavily wounded. Spyro and Sonic Boom ran over to him.
"We'll get you inside," Spyro reassured. "I'm sure one of the others can help!"
Spyro lifted Camo onto his back and started walking towards the castle.
"Spyro..." Sonic Boom said.
He turned around. "Yes?"
"It's about Gill Gr- I mean Ultionem. What he said..."

"What about it?"
"I think he might be right..."
"Sonic Bo-"
"Don't call me that. You know how much Sienna hated being called Nightclaw!"
"Well then what is your name?"
"Praespero. The others have them too. This is what I mean Spyro! Did you really believe that those were our names? Why would someone call their son 'Slam Bam' or their daughter 'Whirlwind'. Would you do it?"

"Well..."
"No you wouldn't! It's just... you should stop being so selfish and naive!"
There was an awkward silence for a few seconds.
"I'm just gonna... you know..." Spyro said.
"Yeah. I'm gonna go." Praespero replied.
"By-" Spyro started.
Praespero had already left. Spyro sighed. He carried Camo back into the castle. If Camo was even his name. Spyro was ashamed of himself.

i am confused why did every one just say their names where different all of sudden and how is it spyros fault that he did not know what there real names were this is really confusing

@TheSpyroFan12, Latin words are awesome and good for getting names when you can't think of any. For instance, I didn't want to call Gill Grunt, Fred, coz that doesn't sound very good (no offence to any Freds out there). So instead, I gave him a name that suited him. Ultionem, which translates as 'revenge' suits the personality I gave him.

@zook it up, I made them have different names to make things more realistic. If you are trying to make a really heartbreaking scene, it is quite difficult to make it sad when the characters have names like 'Stump Smash' and 'Stealth Elf'.

@zook it up's second question, If someone told you that their name was 'Trigger Happy' would you believe them? Even if they did have guns and used them without thinking, you'd just assume it was a nickname. Spyro believed that that was his real name. Sonic Boom is angry with Spyro because he was naive enough not to ask what their REAL name was.

some of their names do make sence though zook, warnado, hex, voodood, drobot those names are names that do not have a literal meaning

Uh, they do make sense.

ZOOK - he has a baZOOKa.
WARNADO - He spins in a torNADO and likes fighting (therefore, WAR)
HEX - HEX means to bewitch
VOODOOD - He uses VOODOO magic, and is apparently a DOOD.
DROBOT - He is a DRAgon (I know it's dro but...) and he has a roBOT suit.

Must they have literal meanings? Does your name have a literal meaning? I highly doubt it!

Really sorry for the heavy delay! Been completely addicted to my new wii game :S Although, I've almost finished it so I may be spending more time. Emphasis on 'may'.

CHAPTER THE TENTH:Run!
Spyro walked into the castle. Everybody seemed to have woken up, emerging from the various rooms. Spyro placed Camo on the floor. It was an hour before sunrise. The others gasped at Camo. They clearly hadn't noticed Cynder's corpse...
"We... need to help him!" Spyro urged.
Etch walked forward. She drew a first-aid kit in the air with her pencil and grabbed it. She opened it and began to treat Camo's wounds.

Flora, Blink and Sheila sat beside Etch while she helped Camo. The others were outside, burying Cynder. Camo's eyes opened slightly.
"Camo!" Flora cried.
"What..." He started.
"No, you need to rest." Etch insisted.
"What... time is it?" Camo asked.
"Half an hour before dawn," Blink replied.

Camo thought. No... They weren't ready! They didn't know!
"Hmph. Fine. If that is the way you will be, then you had better prepare yourself. You'd need ten Golems to stop us. You'll be dead before dawn."
"R-run!" Camo whispered.
"What?" Sheila asked.
"Run! R-rebels come. Attack. Before dawn. Run!"
The four were shocked.

"Get the others! I'll take Camo!" Sheila insisted.
They nodded and ran outside. Sheila put Camo onto her back. She looked out the window. Her eyes met an angry mob.
"CHARGE!" Voodood screamed.
Sheila ran out of the castle.
"RUN!" she shouted.
The others didn't hesitate. They all scrambled into multiple balloons.
"But where are we going?" Sgt. Byrd asked.
Spyro thought.
"Munition's Forge. There's a safe place there." He said

CHAPTER THE ELEVENTH: Eon
The Sky Warriors arrived at Munitions Forge. Nobody knew where to go, and the angry rebel mob were only minutes away.
"Over the hill! Into the crater!" Spyro ordered.
The others didn't object, better a smoking hot volcano than being speared to death by rebels.

Spyro looked at the mob. About a quarter of them carried great long pikes, blood dripping off the metal tips. The others carried swords, maces, axes, longbows, crossbows, morning stars, war hammers; name a weapon and they had it. Spyro shuddered. Not only had they left tradition behind, but also all their magic. Voodood was at the front of the pack, wielding a great spiked morning star. Spyro flew into the volcano.

The warriors weren't ready for battle at all. They were hiding, going deep into the volcano. Running away. And Spyro didn't blame them. That's all he wanted to do. Run away from the mob. Run away from the responsibility. Run away from the guilt...

"Spyro! C'mon old chap! You can make it!" Sgt. Byrd urged.
Everyone rested in a chamber in the volcano, breathless.
"How are we supposed to fight them?" Sunburn, or so Spyro thought her name was then, said.
"We don't," Spyro replied. "We just keep running."
"But we can't do that forever!" Stump Smash complained.
"We have to."

Everyone sat in silence. Until, a man walked into the chamber. Perhaps the most unexpected person to appear, appeared, just then. Out of thin air.
"My word! What in Skylands are you doing here?" Hugo said.
Everyone turned in surprise to the mole.
"We could ask you the same!" somebody said.

"We were running from the rebels," Spyro replied. "I suppose you've heard?"
"Yes, yes. Look, follow me!"
Hugo pushed a fake boulder aside and showed the warriors a secret cave. The warriors walked in. Eon's spirit was inside.

"Well what a surprise to see you here!" Eon stated.
"And you! What are you doing here?" Spyro asked.
"We've discovered this place a while back, thought it might come in handy," Eon evaded.
"That wasn't the question."
"Well I'm sure some answers will get to you eventually..."

"Yes, but we want them now," Spyro said solidly. He wasn't going to give up.
"Perhaps you'd like a-"
"Answer to my question." Spyro interrupted.
Spyro was very suspicious. Why were they avoiding the question? Why were they here anyway?

"Fine then. If you must know. Hugo, you know what to do..."
Hugo nodded, and pulled down an iron gate where the entrance to the secret bit was. They were locked in.
"I'm getting old now, but back when I was a child, I had an old friend at scho-"
"Get to the point. No faf."
"Very well. My friend at school, yes, I think you know him. Or... it."
The warriors stared at Eon.
"I was never on your side. His name... was Catastrophe."
