A game doesn't automatically suck because it doesn't revolve around Spyro.

This makes no sense.

a) Cloud is not the mascot of the Final Fantasy series.
b) Chocobos appeared well before FF7.
c) FF7 came out in 1997, Chocobo Tales came out 9 years later.


The point was that you don't see people complaining that the Chocobos are the main characters of a Chocobo game. Much like how people shouldn't complain that the Skylanders are the main characters of a game called Skylanders.

I guess a better example would be that you don't see people complaining that Mario isn't the main character of Luigi's Mansion.
