Chapter 16

Cynder exited the house the following morning. Her wounds were healed enough that she was ready to leave. “Hey.” She heard Loyran say. She turned to face him. “You sure you want to go now? You can wait a few more days for your wounds to heal the rest of the way.”

“I'm sure.” Cynder replied. “thank you for looking after me. I appreciate that there are at least a few people in this world who aren't against me.” Then came the sounds of many flapping wings. Cynder turned, and peered up through the trees. Her eyes widened. Four Warfang soldier dragons were swooping down. She turned to loyran. “He's found me. Get inside, and stay there.” she said.

“he? You mean Zemas?”

“Yes! Now go!” Cynder snapped. Loyran nodded, and quickly darted inside. Cynder turned. The four dragons had landed, and a number of other dragons were gathering around. The leader of the four dragons, recognizable by his armor, spoke first.'We seek the outlaw Known as Cynder!” he called out.

“There is no such dragon here.” Cynder heard an elderly Dragoness say. Cynder made her approach towards the soldiers.

“Don't you lie to us, Madam. We know she is hiding here!” one of the other dragons said coldly. Cynder made her way through the crowds, and came out the other side. “And so you'd be right.” Cynder said.

“Ah, there you are.” The leader said. He stepped up to Cynder. The tow looked at each other for several moments. In the dragons eyes, Cynder could see a great deal of regret. “I'm sorry Cynder, but I have orders to execute you on sight.”

“Then go ahead.” Cynder said, bowing her head. Loyran watched what was happening from his house. He quickly made his way back out, and shouted. “Hey!” He quickly darted over, and Cynder looked up to find him between her and the bigger Dragon. “Loyran What the hell are you doing?” Cynder asked.

“Look here, Soldier. I don't care what your orders are, but this place is not under your jurisdiction! You have no power here, and nor does your king! So, if you think you can just barge in, and kill our guest... You have another thing coming!” Loyran snarled. “So, why don't you just piss off, and take your lackeys with you!?”

The soldier stared at Loyran for several moments, then looked around. the other dragons who lived ehre seemed to agree with him. The elder dragon, of a deep yellow came forward. “The young one is right. Leave here, now.” He said. The leader of the dragons looked around as the villagers were getting into fighting stances. Finally, the leader dragon sighed. “I was hoping to avoid this.” he said.

Cynder watched, as the Dragon suddenly reared back, and tried to stomp down on Loyran, who barely leapt to the side in time. And just like that, chaos ensued. The other three soldiers dashed towards Cynder, but were intercepted by a mob of angry villagers. Cynder watched as Loyran suddenly came up to her. “Come on!” He shouted, grabbing her wrist.

He tried to lead her away from the fighting, but the leader dragon suddenly was there. He reared back, and breathed a wave of icy mist towards them. Loyran dodged to the side, and Cynder went with him. As Cynder landed, she heard a deafening explosion. One of the dragon soldiers had just blasted a house into pieces with a fireball, and the flames were spreading. Cynder watched as the soldiers were advancing towards her, knocking down and killing villagers as they came. Then, as one of the soldiers clawed a young, crying dragon to the side, something inside of Cynder snapped.

She let out an enraged roar, and charged.

Chapter 17

The Leader dragon turned, and yelped as Cynder hopped onto his back, and bit deep into his neck scales. He thrashed about violently, and finally, he was able to toss Cynder off. Cynder landed and sent a stream of darkness his direction. He shielded himself with his wing. As the darkness encroached on him, he hissed in pain as his wing began to split open and decay.

Cynders eye caught something in its corner, and she quickly halted her stream, and leapt up. A ball of fire erupted on the ground where she had just been. She lande dosme feet back, and watches as Loyran was body slammed by one of the bigger dragons. But the young green dragon, proving capable, unleashed a blast of pure earth force into his attackers face.

Cynder, distracted by this, failed to notice the leader Dragon charging her. She was suddenly tackled, and pinned down. The dragon forced a paw on her throat, preventing her from even opening her mouth. Cynder widened her eyes. Was this how it all ended...? She closed her eyes, awaiting the strike of her enemies claw, awaiting her death, and its sweet bliss.

“Cynder! No!” She suddenly heard Spyro scream. Her eyes popped open.

'Spyro? where are you!?” she asked. She looked up to the soldier, and saw allot of vines wrapped around his neck from a nearby tree. The dragon wa spulled back, and she then was shwoere din blood, as several sharpened branches, glowing purple, flew form the nearby tree, and stabbed through the Dragons back.

Cynder quickly backed off. She saw some of the spreading flames suddenly lift from there spots, and flash out in a stream that struck one of the Soldiers. “What's happening!?” She heard Loyran ask, as he came up.

“...I...It's Spyro...” Cynder replied. She watched as the flamed Dragon fell tot he ground, burnt to a crisp. Cynder turned, and saw the last two dragons trying to take flight, but more vines had taken hold, and dirt was molding up around their legs. She then saw the crack in the great tree that had been in this village for as long as it had been free from warfang.

The crack spread, and the tree suddenly snapped, and a purple glow radiated around it. The tree fell, crushing the two soldiers beneath it. There was a long silence, and a subtle purple glow began to fade from the area. Cynder took a long deep breath. “Thank you...” she whispered. She got no response. She bowed her head.

“Whoa re you talking to?” Loyran asked.

“Spyro.. He just acted through nature, and saved us. But...” Cynder looked to the devastation, and tears welled up in her eyes. “You still lost a number of innocent lives. This never should have happened...” She looked up, and suddenly got a strange flare in her eye. “No, No more... That's the last straw!” A sudden rage was entering her tone.

“Huh?” Loyran asked.

“Listen, Im going to Warfang. Zemas Is twisting the minds of Meinsars soldiers, corrupting them to do his bidding. And Meinsar himself has also become twisted, If I know Zemas a swell as i think I do. But, if I can kill Zemas, I can break his spell.” Cynder said.

“I see... I'm going with you.” Loyran suddenly declared.

“What? No, stay here. This is your home, you have family here. You need to guard them, not me.” Cynder argued.

“They were after you, not me. I you leave, they will have no further reaosn to attack. Besides, if that spell is broken, Than my village wont be in danger anymore. This is my fight just as much as yours now. I beg of you, let me come with you.” Loyran replied.

Cynder paused. “Alright. Fine. You can come along.” She said. She then turned. “We leave tonight.” And with that, she walked away.

Sorry for the double post but have you written more story

Not yet. Im just not feeling very motivated for it right now. that, and i havent quite planned out whats gonna happen next.
