We shall find out at some point in the next few months if a new Spyro game is to be released this year. I would say about April.

I would say September, October, or November (since all of the Spyro games but OTCC were released in the Autumn).

It is odd that Renanspyro said that he(or she) would like a television show about Spyro for the tenth anniversary of the series, because I have found something very strange on en.wikipedia.org; proof (if one can could call it that) that there was an animated Spyro series back in 2001. I hate to jump to a conclusion, but I can only imagine someone put it in there as a joke, as I have found nothing on this series on any other site. Go onto the page for the Spyro the Dragon series on en.wikipedia.org and you'll see a link to it.

I have just been on the Internet Movie Database web pages of some these voice actors. None of them mention a Spyro television series. Thus, this show does not exist.

Does anyone have a link to jamique's story-thing....
In terms of a new Spyro. All they should do is combine the exploring of the previous games with the combat of ANB, for a perfect blend! As for origins of the other protagonists, Spyro doesn't meet any of them until Gateway to Glimmer of Year of the Dragon, so introducing them in The Legend would just set ANB storyline even further off from the original plotline started in Spyro the Dragon.

On the wikipedia there is a page on a sequel to ANB called "The Continue Adventure of Spyro" . Just by looking at the poor spelling of the title tells me it is a hoax. I can only imagine that it was made by whoever created that page on that fictitous Spyro television show(which is soon to be deleted).

I wonder when , if ever, Krome shall announce a sequel to ANB. The first piece of news for ANB came on Tuesday the fourteenth of March, when it was called Spyro: Legend. Mentioned only was what consoles it was coming out on. The first official annoucement came on Friday the fourteenth of April, where it had it's current title. The genre of gameplay was mentioned, as were the voice actors. Then, a week later, on Friday the twenty-first of April, the first screenshots and some concept art of the game were unvieled. Seeing how Krome will more than likely be making the sequel, the sequence of events may go like this.

According to Crashmania:
"Whether it will be a PC exclusive or not is still unconfirmed, though all rumours seem to point to it." "However, Sierra Online has this to say about Crash Online: 'Sierra Online Growth Drivers Initial releases focus on original, catalog and licensed short-session games (West); In mid-session the focus is on FreeStyle (West) and Crash (China).' We know that FreeStyle is a Korean game that Sierra Online is bringing to the US this year. So would this mean that Crash Online will be focused in China, or exclusive to it?" |

Actually, Michael... The rights for the Original Spyro trilogy belong to VU not SONY. SONY doesn't own anything having to do with the Spyro the Dragon Franchise... never did! As for your assumption on the falling out between all three partners you are absolutely correct. However it wasn't really SONY's fault. Please direct your blame strictly in Universal's direction. They are the ones who screwed things up. They got greedy and put Insomiac Games on tight development schedule that they just couldn't keep up with. Take a look at Spyro: Year of the Dragonfly and there is your example. The name of the companies who did the game are wrong. Those companies were brought in by Universal to finish the project. Year of the Dragonfly was originally meant to be a PS1 game however it was rushed into production to capitalize on popularity of the character.
Insomiac Games were the ones who started work on the 4th game. Please don't tell you can't tell that it was their work. The fallout between both Insomiac and Universal (before Vindei came in and messed things up even more) happened around this time. Insomiac got caught in the middle of the console upgrade from PS1 to PS2 hardware. The rest of the story is too ugly to talk about and trust me when I say I am surprised that Insomiac stayed with Universal afterward. Company politics always tend to screw things up for the fans of a franchise. Leave to the guys in the board rooms to make stupid marketing decisions and this is what happens. As to when an announcement will be given on the sequel of Legend of Spyro that has yet to be determined. At least that is what I have been told. So be patient everyone. I have a feeling we will be hearing something soon. As for the tenth anniversary... The film I am working on is FOR THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION! Oh, as for how the new Spyro is related to the original one well... officially... he isn't really related to the original at all. As for my series... he is related to the original but in a very distant way. Oh, it has actually, according to my timeline of events in Dragon of Destiny, been only roughly about eleven or twelve generations between both time periods. |

Um.... I heard that the reason ETD had such poor framerate and graphics was that the two developing companies, who had before that only ever made computer upgrades, were inexperienced at making such 3D games. I have also heard nothing ever about Insomniac making ETD for the PS, after all, a message at the end of the creadits of YOTD and another message unlocked by getting all skill points imply that YOTD was to be Insomniac's last Spyro(and PS) game. Where did you here your story, if I may ask?

Let's just say someone very close to Spyro franchise told me. And yes the two companies that took over and finished Insomiac's work on the fourth game were inexperienced. Hell, they were very inexperienced at making 3d games. That is why I said they had to use Insomiac's initial incomplete 4th game work to do the game. Insomiac Games isn't listed on the the credits of the fourth game due to internal issues that were going on at the time. |

Well, RedWelshDragon, that is what happens when your release a game that needed a tad bit more work done on it to polish all the rough edges. The two companies that did the finishing work were rushed and inexperienced so this is what we got. I also liked the storyline somewhat. It was interesting.

The Dark Master sounds like one of those creatures that you should fight halfway through the story line. Then, after beating them, their mortal form is destroyed and their spirit searches for a new host. Once you're three quarters of the way done, the spirit usually finds it and the "final" fight is against him again. Then, you usually have to get 100% before fighting the spirit of the boss, which is always harder. But since ANB isn't a collecting game, you can skip all tasks and go directly to the Final Fight! That would be awesome! ^.^
