◇Chapter nine◇
What have I done?
To myself?
The voices ran through my head.
You should be ashamed of yourself Aura..... What would your family think?
I was filling myself with doubt.
You'll never be a Freedom Fighter now; not after this.
But I knew I had to become a Freedom Fighter; I had revenge raging through me for the Shadows. That's what kept me alive.
My eyes jolted open. At that point I could feel no pain. So that was my chance. I lifted my weight up and went to take the first step... A flash of pain jolted up from my leg like a lightening bolt; causing me to curl over in pain.
Well that idea's out. I thought to myself.
There must be another way...

I found myself crawling painfully through the marshes of the forest; climbing my way up a small hill so I could find my way back to Avalar quicker.
I looked behind me; the moon was almost at the edge of the horizon. In front of me; the horizon getting closer to Warfang became lighter. That meant I was lying in that same place all night.

I weaved through the forest from where I originally came from. Every now and then seeing little drops of bloods on leaves; which brought bake a metallic taste of blood into my mouth again. I was beginning to limp my way through; the pain beginning to ease off.
After making it into a clearing, I searched for a stream; where I might be lucky to get a fish or just a refreshing drink.
There was no sign of any water in the area; once I though I found it, It turned out to be a sink hole. Exhausted from all the crawling and limping, I had no choice to cross a log that sat in the centre of it.
I crossed slowly, looking down at the drop. Not paying attention; I found myself losing my footing; and slipping into the sink hole.
I attempted to struggle free; but I knew I'd only sink faster. But I had to try something.
"HELP!" I screamed; It would be unlikely for someone to hear me with my dry voice,but I tried over and over again until only a small shriek came out.
The smell of rotting carcasses filled the air the closer my head got to the mud. I could feel my legs and body brush against bones and other vile slimy bits which worsened the smell.
"HELP!" I cried one last time.
Nothing.
My head was beginning to go under. I was getting ready to hold my breath as long as I could.
Just before I was fully under, out of the corner of my eye; I could just make out a Cheetah, then more than one before I went under.
"Hold on! We'll get you out."

◇Chapter Ten◇
The clay of the sink hole dried in the splits of my scales. Making it feel itchy and irrtating. My legs were locked together like cement; and my mouth tasted as though I'd been eating sand and dirt.
Hold on...
I felt myself been tugged slowly down a track. Though I could not move my neck, I could tell already it was the local Cheetah tribe hunters dragging me back to the village.

It took time to get back; I found myself asleep half way back, and woke up in the village with not a speck of dirt on me. Although I could see I was out in the open, shadows droped all around me.
"She's waking up!" Someone whispered. I was thinking of how far out these Cheetah's were in the forest; they'd probably rarely seen a dragon before... That was until I saw a dark brown paw.
I got myself into a more comfortable sitting position, as the dark brown dragon leaned down.
"Hi.. How are you?"
"Been better." I replied dampley.
"Could imagine," He said smiling; making my straight face curve a little. "Anyway, I'm Ethan...And my friend over here," He stretched his wing out to the far side of the line of Cheetah's. "is Istar." I turned my head and made out a Blue figure in amongst the crowd; wearing a small and nervous grin.
"Hi," I said pulling myself off the ground and onto my feet. "I'm Aura....Can I ask, where am I?"
"Well, you're on the far side of Avalar," Ethan said.
"Its about a two day flight back to Warfang from here," Istar chipped in. "When did you leave Warfang, if you came from there." He said, making his way up the line to stand by Ethan and join in on the conversation. "I only left yesterday evening." I said.
"Yesterday evening!" Istar said; Ethans jaw dropped open.
"Yeah, I was flying faster than normal."
"You're not kidding." Ethan said.
"What made you leave so fast?" Istar questioned.
"Something happened- I don't really want to talk about it." I said; bringing the memory I tried so hard to forget back.
"Oh, There anything we can do to help?" Istar said, losing his smile.
"No not really," I said. "I'm just gonna go look around for a while." I walked out the back way and took off into the air.

I sat at the tip of one of the gullies; watching the river flow and the salmon leaping out of it.
Behind me, I could hear someone coming up behind me; It was Istar and Ethan.
"Thought we'd find you here." Ethan said.
"Nice veiw from here." Istar said; trying to make a conversation.
"Yeah, it is." I sighed.
"Bet you don't see this kind of stuff in the city."
"Not like this." I replied.
"Did you have many friends in Warfang?" Ethan questioned.
"A few, when I ran off, they were there." I said.
"Don't you think they'll be worried." Istar said.
"I know they will be, but I can't go back. I don't want to." I looked at the forest around the river as I said it.
"Well, if you don't want to go back, we can't make you. But I think there are some other dragons who can." Ethan said.
"What do you mean?" I questioned.
"We know something bad must've happened to you there, and that is driving you away, but there are some who can help you with this." Ethan answered.
"I don't think so." I said.
"They're training to become Freedom Fighters." Istar said.
Is this a coinsidence? I asked myself.
No way
"How did you know?" I asked.
"We didn't, but one of the tribes-folk reconized your name as been the daughter of The Freedom Fighters," Istar replied. "We think it'd be best for you to go meet them."
My spirits were lifted; and they were right, it would be best.
"Ok, I'll go.... Thank you guys, for everything." I said; taking off into the air.
"See ya!"
"Catch 'ya later!"
