Spyro heard a door open and looked up, he knew who it was, for he had shown then this place. He knew that he was a soldier, but had no idea about why he would be here again so soon. Spyro just waited, for answers, for excuses, for reason, he waited.
“I am here now to apologize for what happened. I am…” the mole started. Spyro stared at him causing him to stop mid-sentence.
Spyro lunged at him, knocking him a good 10 feet away for the doorway. Landing on him Spyro glared strait into his eye, speaking slowly, controlling the hatred that threatened to consume him. He Stepped off the mole, and softened his gaze slightly. “Don’t ever mention that to me again, or it could be the last time you ever speak.”
The mole swallowed before standing up and brushing himself off. “I just stopped by to make sure that you are settling in well. Is there anything that I can get you?“
“Do you have any meat? We are starving.”
“I will see what I can do. How is Cynder, is she awake yet?”
“No.”
“I will see what I can get you.”
***Three weeks pass uneventfully. Cynder is almost fully healed and her strength has returned. The group is about to set off towards the temple and city.***
“Well it that was fun, I have sent word back to the temple, the remaining three guardians agree that it is best that we send the Drasest back with you.” Said Nythanyal,
“We all thank you for letting us stay here.” Cynder said, “We shall be off then. I hope we meet again with a warmer welcome. Let’s head out now, shall we?”
Spyro felt something, a cool breath, darkness. His vision faded, “Not again…”

“Hush, don’t speak, listen, you will wake when it is over.” Whispered a voice.
It was Malefor, Spyro knew that he ment well, but he did not know that he could call a dream like the chronicler could. Spyro could not see anything, could not move, just sit there and listen.
“Neither did I, you are standing above one of the Dark gems I placed a long time ago as a marker, but now is not the time, listen.”
So, little Spyro, you have come so far in this life. But I can’t help but wonder why I was so blind to all you did? What were you doing that made me over look all that you did during your life? Why did I not see that you were using us to learn what was needed to kill us one by one. I wonder who you have helping you on this quest. They must have been very powerful. What do you have to offer then? What have they offered you? How have they made me so blind? There are so many things that I need answere to but they are all unanswerable now. Time, time is all I need. Could it have been Malefor? I think not, he hates you. But whom? I wondered how I had been chosen to be here, but now it is clear. There is very little that I can do to warn the others about their little fiend.
A bright light filled Spyros eyes.

“Spyro. Spyro are you alright?” Asked Cynder.
Spyro opened his eyes; Cynder’s head appeared right in front of his eyes, “Yes I am fine.”
“You just passed out, why?” This time it was Cacumen who asked.
“It was a vision, I will tell later”
Nythanyal, who sat and watched as the whole scene played out, commented curiously, “Spyro, why do you always have that scroll on your back? What is it?”
“Oh, that? It is a scroll, and it is an important scroll, and no, you cannot see the scroll, or we would have to kill you.”
“Sure, you should leave soon, before it gets dark. Good bye.” Nythanyal said sternly, and then he turned around and walked back into
the tower.
“Come on!” called Stanton, “We don’t have all day. It is a week-long trip and I want to get a good start in.”
The group left, chattering about what happened in the grounds.
“So Spyro, what was the “dream” about?” they all asked, at about the same time.
Soyro thought carefully, “There is an unknown entity that thinks that I am using its brethren to learn about them so that I can kill them one by one..”
“Really that is it?” Felina asked, confused.
“Well If I can’t finish what I was saying then it would be. Evidently this being was with me for a while, saying and asking itself how it was so ‘blind to I had done’. I have no idea who it was, but it now thinks that I am the one who killed it, and the one who caused the destroyer to come out.”
Felina understood the feeling of false accusation, and comforted Spyro, “That really sucks. I have only known you for about seven weeks, and I know that you would die trying to save the world.”
“That is nice to know, but if I die trying to save the world, I will be the one to destroy the world. There is a new, unknown character in this game, the tester. If I can’t overcome what he throws at me, the world will suffer more than I. That means that from now on, there is nothing that doesn’t have a purpose. This basically meant that something like that would have happened to Cynder no matter where we went. But the only thing that this ‘Tester’ cannot control is on our side.”
Cynder was shocked. She had stopped walking. “You mean that… So… This… This thing is testing you? Why?”
“To see if I am fit to be the leader of the next era of peace.”
“So that means…”
“No, No… Come on now Cynder, don’t dwell on it too long, I will be old and frail before you finally given up trying to make since of this mess.” Called Spyro, jokingly.
Cynder stayed a moment longer, then, jumped, winging towards the clouds. “Come on Spyro,” she called, “catch me if you can!”
Spyro jumped. The trio started moving along again. Stanton watched as the young dragons played above the tree line. Diving, flipping, twirling, they were a sight to see. This trip would pass quickly if nothing stopped its progress.
