Kyo stared at Moon, blinking. “What is your name?” Moon asked. “Kyo,” he replied. “This is my daughter, Amaya,” Moon replied, and sure enough, Amaya emerged from the crowd. Kyo blinked. “Oh, Amaya’s your daughter?” he spluttered. Moon nodded. “Yes, she is. And those two are my sons Death and Midnight,” she added. The muscular Umbreon that had talked to him before padded over to Amaya, followed by another very buff-looking Umbreon. The two brothers seemed to glare at him, as if saying: ‘You touch our sister, we kill you.’
Kyo gulped. “Kyo, do you remember anything at all when you were an Eevee?” Moon snapped him back to reality. Kyo shook his head. “No, just a Espeon yelling at me.” Moon blinked. “Oh, an Espeon you say?” Kyo nodded. “Yes, her name was Honey. She claimed to be my sister.” he replied. “Kyo, every Umbreon in this part of Sinnoh has joined the Shadow Pack. It is just tradition. And tradition says that you must meet the approval of Darkrai, the one that brought the Shadow Pack into existence. We worship Darkrai, like we all worship Arceus. You have no choice but to join us…that is, if you survive Darkrai’s nightmare.” she hissed. Kyo stepped back.
“Darkrai’s nightmare? What!? But I don’t want to join the Shadow Pack!” Kyo yelled. Moon narrowed her eyes and grew her lips back into a snarl. “You have no choice, young Umbreon.” Moon hissed.
“But I don’t understand!” Kyo wailed. “What is Darkrai’s nightmare? What do I have to do?” Moon smiled, her fangs glittered in the moonlight. “Here he is…” she whispered. Suddenly, all the Umbreon’s looked up at the moon, their eyes locked onto it. Kyo couldn’t help but to look up as well. And sure enough, a pitch black shape floated past the moon, and straight towards the group of Umbreons.
“Make way, Shadow Pack, because here he comes.” Moon smiled.
