Elora needs to return. She was one of the most unique characters in the Spyro franchise, Classic & Legend combined.

A remake of EtD would be cool, that game was so promising.

The reason there was a boom in Cynder porn after DotD is becasue of Cynder's elaborated hourglass figure.

@sonicbrawler I know but it'll help if the character in question doesn't have a figure which is considered sexually attractive by most people.

Don't think I ever will. As a kid, I never really found "icky" stuff like bugs disturbing. I know guys who would be disturbed by porn though, especially VG porn!smilie

So...uh....can we ditch talking about mai hormones and get back to Classic Spyro?smilie

I never knew what YotD's skill points were for when I first played it.... I didn't really use the internet back then, and I had no guide. Then all of a sudden this epilogue appears on my game, and I had no idea what I'd done to unlock it smilie

Did you get all the skill points? There are seventeen, I think, and they unlock a silly little epilogue and some unused concept character models. The skill points in YotD do the same.

#70 Posted: 18:40:46 09/12/2010
That reminds me of the time I first time I booted up Sonic Mega Collection Plus! You see, there is a little feature that automatically unlocks two, non-Sonic games for you if you have a save file of Sonic Heroes on your memory card. I didn't know this when I first got the game though, and I had a Sonic Heroes save. So, when I started it up, it just said:

"You unlocked Comix Zone!"
"You unlocked The Ooze!"

I was just like,"uh...cool?"smilie

Anyway, I REALLY want to find YotD!
EDIT: Sorry Razz, I was typing at the same time as you!smilie
Anyway, there are 16 of them, and I got them all. It was pretty easy, but the epilogue was funny, and the unused characters were cool(especially the angel bat-cat thingy)!
YotD has twenty skill points, I believe.

Anything can be made suggestive, yes, but it certainly didn't help prevent all the rule 34 of Cynder the way they chose to design her in DotD. If they would have at least given her accurate anatomy....

But yeah, the skill points. I knew they existed all along because I kept finding random ones throughout the game, but it took a while to actually find and win them all, and some of them I even had to look up. I would have never found Agent 9's Powerup (the button in the Agent 9 level in Fireworks Factory) without the help of the internet.

Pretty much. As someone who was a part of the Cynder fanbase before there was 34 of her at all, I was there when it went from about five pieces (mostly ANB Dark Cynder) to more than I could count (all DotD Cynder).

Wait...Agent 9's power up? I am intrigued. I never really tried to get the skill points in YotD (since some of them revolved around skateboarding and I could barely even get the eggs out of those levels).

To be fair though, Spyro fans have a lot less porn to worry about than say, Starfox, Digimon, Pokemon and Sonic fans. And most of the really bad Cynder(or Spyro franchise art in general) art is usually only found if you actually look for it.

Agent 9's power up gives you 500 rapid fire bullets, if I'm not mistaken.

Okay, but as I said there's less porn if the character's aren't intended to be what many call sexy. I would bet porn of really kiddy things are fairly rare, right?

Another think I like is the odities in Spyro 2. It's an accidental extra that keeps you interested after the boss is dead, the objects found and the skill points earned.

Well, I doubt the creators intended for Cynder to be "sexy". Honestly, if you went and asked a bunch of regular, non-gaming people if she was, what do you think they would say? My guess would be,"are you alright there?". And there is a ton more Pikachu porn, Sonic porn, Tails porn, Mario porn, etc, and I doubt many people find them sexy(well..... maybe a few female Sonic fans find him attractive).

Spyro 2 oddities? They were okay. It's not my favourite game to look for oddities in though.

Oh c'mon, you can't tell me a bunch of people charged with the task of making a game where ALL the characters were animals were oblivious to the furry fandom and its dark side. Even if they were, someone on the design team must have noticed the hourglass figure and realized that sickos would do something foul with it.

If it was done intentionally, I doubt it was with the intention of boosting sales massively. You would have to be crazy to think that would work.

TBH, compared to many other characters I've seen, Cynder is pretty clean in terms of design. In fact, when I first seen her on the back of the ANB box, I thought she was a boy!smilie

There you guys go again with your hopeful optimism about adults. I don't recommend looking this up, but there is something known as the bored animator syndrome. Animators draw more raunchy porn than anyone else, and most of them are working on kids' shows. Cynder was made sexy on purpose, right down to wearing bondage jewelry. Mike and Chris knew what they were doing with that one and you can try to tell yourself they didn't mean it that way, but there's far too much obvious evidence that says they did.

There's more porn of kiddy things than non-kiddy things, I'm afraid. Just look at all the Sonic and Pokemon nastiness out there. D: And, no, Sonicbrawler, these things don't just appeal to the ladies (I personally find Sonic revolting, but I know hundreds of guys who commission sexy Sonic art for themselves). In fact, there's more nasty male/male art of famous characters within the certain communities than anything else.

And, confound it, why did this topic devolve into a discussion of Cynder porn? D: She really does ruin everything.

I was just saying they probably didn't do it as an attempt to boost sales, it was probably out of boredem or something. If it was to boost sales, then...... epic fail, is all I can say.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply it's only among females as I know all too well it's not.
As for Sonic, I just think his design is cool and funny. I don't even think about sexual stuff when looking at him.

And Cynder? No being my avatar for a week, missy!(Reverse Fourth Wall-Breaking FTW!)

Now, does anyone know of any competitive Spyro gaming sites? (Random question to bring things on topic)

I don't think it was very steriotypical; so they used shamrocks horseshoes and leprichauns, so what? That could easily be chalked up to the fairy tale esque style of the game. It's not like they had random irishmen stumbling around drunk and getting into random fights. Now THAT'S a steriotype.

Speaking of Season of Flame and Season of Ice, I was playing them some time ago and I couldn't help but feel... I dunno... comforted, at ease, like things were all alright. I know it sounds silly, but the diversity in characters and settings and all the collectables and the mere sight of Spyro, Sparx, Sheila, Agent Nine, Hunter, Bianca and all the rest as they once were... It just seemed so... Right to me!

Ohoho, I wasn't talking about that!
I was talking about the way Brian(such an Irish name!) says,"top o' the mornin' to ya!". A lot of games and movies make Irish people say that, yet I have NEVER heard an Irish person say that, unless they were quoting a movie! And I'm Irish and still live in Ireland, and anyone I ask also says they have never heard anyone say that! We consider it a funny stereotype, seeing as we don't actually use the phrase, yet a lot of fictional Irish characters use it. smilie

The characters were horribly disfigured in SoI and SoF unless looking at the artworks (which is still in a strange anime style, somewhat). That's not right.

A cute purple Rhynoc is right, though.

And yes, I feel sympathy for you, SB. It's all Ireland is ever remembered for in the E-rated rest of the world. I know all about the great cities, and the wealth of ancient history...and the IRA bombings, but there has to be bad where there's good, right?

Trust me, Irish people are VERY different to what general media potrays us as. I myself, am not too "Irish" in personality. A lot of people say I have developed an American accent. Although, not all of the realities are bad, some are very bad. There are even some Irish stereotypes that have not been touched by the media outside of Ireland, probably because it would be seen as highly offensive. Also, the "leprachaun" accent is really over used. And I can think of many REAL Irish greetings.

One movie that is a great example of how young Irish people really act is "Inside I'm Dancing". It also goes by the name "Rory O' Shea Was Here". It also gives great insight into the life of a disabled person.

Gah, off topic, AGAIN!smilie
