Chapter 18
Heather opened her eyes to find herself in the Dream World again.
"Hello young dragon." Ignitus's familar voice came.
"Ignitus, I know I'm supposed to save the world and all but still, something bothers me...that eclipse I mentioned awhile back...could you tell me more or how long untill it starts?"
"There is not just one eclipse that day...but two." Ignitus began.
"What?! TWO eclipses at once?!" Heather questioned in shock and confusion.
"Yes. A Lunar and a Solar eclipse. Once they reach their strongest stage they will last two full days, each day bringing evil and corrupted creatures to an unstoppable state."
"Do you know how long until this?"
"There is two weeks before its begining."
Heather was silent, only two weeks before the eclipse, before their downfall.
"We have lost five dragons in our group...as we travel we may encounter more battles with those monsters that are attacking, we may loose half of our group."
The scene before Heather began to fade before she could hear Ignitus's responce, returning her to reality.
~~~
"Heather wake up already." Aurora complained, nuddging the purple dragoness before her.
"Mmmph..." Heather groaned as her eyes oppened.
"It's time to go Heather. If we stay any longer we may bring danger to the Phoenixes."
Heather knew that Aurora was right and struggled to stand, eventually succeeding.
The remainders of the dragons had gathered, ready to take off.
With a final farewell they took to the sky, leaving the clan of Phoenixes behind.
------
Cynder had to endure the pain as a sharp weapon sliced through her scales.
News had come of the band of dragons, they had managed to wipe out half a group of humans with the help of the Phoenixes being attacked.
In other words, having children leading the said band of dragons meant torture for herself, Spyro, and Wave.
She turned her head as she passed a dragon, the pure agony in its eyes made her growl.
She reluctantly restrained herself from slashing at the nearest human in anger, Marie's first warning echoing in her mind.
------
Spyro panted as he lie in a small pool of his blood, he had been brutaly beaten and was covered in deep wounds; some would become scars.
"Marie?" He asked, pain in his voice as the aura dragoness healed him.
"Yes Spyro?"
"Do you ever have dreams that make you wake up crying?"
"Yes. But why do you ask? I can sense something is bothering you."
"Well I've been dreaming that everyone I know and care abouthas either died or been corrupted. Just the other night I had a dream that the world was in ruins. Not only that, but everything was dead, unmoving and greyscale, the celestialmoons were black like on The Night of Eturnal Darkness. When I wake up I see someone I saw as a father, Ignitus the former fire Guardian as the Chronicler. But Ignitus died trying to get Cynder and I across the Belt of Fire."
"Interesting. Never heard of a dream like that happening before."
"I see. I was hoping you could help me figure it out, its not like I can do anything untill later."
I hate lying to him but it's the only thing I can do. Tomorrow night we can reveal everything.
Hope you enjoyed that chapter dispite the boringness.
