Chapter 6: I'm gonna die

That night as they were all sleeping and spyro fell asleep on his guard and young shadow still talking within his dream gave Zonaya the perfect amount of noise as she sneaked in the cave and grabbed shadow as he did not wake.When the young boy awoke he was on a cliff as he became consicious he noticed all of his limbs had been broken badly and there was a large chunk ripped off of both wings.
"Oh how did this happen,*gasp* Zonoya but the taint is still with me but wait she took the strong one out of the picture now she going for Spyro but I cant move or fly."
"Cynder i'm starting to get worried i mean we havent seen Shadow all morning."
"What he's gone one down one to go!"Said Sparx
"Shut up!"both spyro and cynder said
"We should split up Cynder search the north side of the forest,Sparx you go west I'll go south."Said Spyro
When they split up it was the dragonfly that found the boy.
"Ugh Sparx is that you?"
"It sure is pal."
"Gah my wounds besides breaking all my limbs and ripping my wings she also tore several holes in my torso."
"I'll go get help!" Sparx said while runiing of to get spyro and cynder
It was night by the time they came by then he was laying in a pool of his own blood.
"Wake up wake up *sob* please wake up *sob* he was like a son to us*sob*" said Spyro while he and Cynder were both in tears
"The only thing that is keeping me alive right now is the taint I stole from you" Shadow whispered
"He's alive!" said Sparx
"Please take me to my dark crystal that i was using to cleanse you." begged shadow
as he said that they took him there.
"Ok just let me touch it." Said Shadow
When the young dragon touched it completely restored him but he passed out.
"Taint thankyou for keeping me alive" Said Shadow
"Anytime." It responded
and with that he awoke.

P.S the taint is still within him.

Chapter 7: It wasnt a dream

When the young dragon awoke he noticed that the pain was gone but he was cold "Ugh what happened I'm in the cave but when did I get here?" He asked himself
"Young dragon you are not awake." an odd but friendly voice said
"Now wake up wake up." The voice said again
When he finally came to He found Spyro leaning over him next to his dark crystal.
"Ugh what happened?" he said while looking himself over
"Well Zonoya riped a large chunk out of both of your wings,broke all of you limbs,and tore multiple large holes in your torso and when we got to you were laying in a pool of your own blood." Spyro explained
"Oh then it wasnt a dream." Shadow said with a worried face
"Whats wrong pal sad that I rescued you?" said sparx boastfully
"No but it worries me that she didnt take my taint."Shadow explained
"Well you said it was the only thin keeping you alive." said Spyro
"Now that you mention when I was captured by her when I was sleeping I remember that It said that Zonoya offered a good deal for leaving me to join her but it said our friendship was to good to leave behind so he is still with me right now." explained shadow
"Well we should get some rest." said Spyro
And with that they flew off to the cave to sleep.

chapter 8: they cant find out

While the rest of shadow's "family" were asleep he decided to sneak out to somewhere he knew they would only say "It will corrupt you." and "You'll be eaten alive by the darkness." but he didnt beleive them shadow always said to himself "If I can control the taint and not be controled by it I can handle my secret cave of dark crystals." as he went in he felt a presence that really got him angry it was Zonaya.
"What are you doing here?" shadow asked spitefully
"I should ask the same for you has'nt spyro told you to strive away from darkness." She responded mockingly
"Yes he has warned me but he has no idea that this place exhists so I come here to meditate." shadow responded
"Hmmm you and that taint are really unified." Zonoya said in a strange tone
"Yes we are now then what do you need this cave for?" shadow said priming himself for attack
"Hmmm a defensive stance fine the lets fight!" she said smiling evily
As they began to strike shadow managed to get her with his breath of darkness but zonoya managed to get back up and made a large gash on his torso with that the young dragon fled with zonoya leaving the cave but not chasing him as he reached the cave he hid his wound and tried to sleep
"They can't ever know what happened tonight." shadow said to himself
And with that the young dragon fell asleep dreading they may find out in the morning...

Hey guys really sorry for not writing a new one in about a month so here it is

chapter 9:My best friend


As Shadow awoke he found he was laying in a puddle of his own blood as he looked to his right he found Cynder having a panic attack and Spyro trying to calm her down.
"Cynder aslong as he is breathing he will be fine well not fine but..." spyro said trying to calm Cynder
"But what he could die loosing that much blood!" Cynder said hyperventalaiting and worrying if the only thing that came close as a son to her would die
"Mom dad I'll be ok..." shadow said weakly
"Oh it's worse than I thought!" Cynder said staring at the wound
"How did this happen son?"Spyro said calmly
"Well I did'nt want you to know but I managed to sneak out last night to my favorite spot but there was another dragon there named Zonoya she seemed to want my taint..."shadow said begining to grow a nervous look on his face
"Well what hapened next oh wait let me guess she took that evil thing that your bonded to."Sparx said jokingly
"Will you ever shut up." shadow said to sparx
"Well tell us what happened."Cynder said hoping that zonoya didn't take his taint
"Well I can't tell you what the place is like or you would wish to destroy it, anyway I was able to get a nice shot to her face but then I saw a symbol eye appear on her forhead and she turned stronger than ever she then proceded to slash this wound in my chest as you can see then I ran like a coward."shadow said feeling shame for fleeing
"Show us the cave."Spyro and Cynder said in unison
"Fine." shadow said flying to the cave
Once they got there at the mouth of the cave Spyro started to cough up something unknown to all of them
"Um dad are you ok?" shadow said mildly freaked out
"Yeah I'll be ugh oh no."Spyro said as he vomited somemore
"I'll be in the cave if you need me..." shadow said as he entered the dark cave
"Wait shadow that cave will corrupt you!"Spyro said running into the cave to get shadow out
As the young dragon reached the center of the cave where all of the completely black crystals were
"Ah it feels nice." shadow said sitting in the center of the cave
As spyro began to catch up he heard a voice talking to shadow
"Shadow you know I'll always be there for you." the voice said
"I know but they are getting suspicious..."Shadow said responding to the voice
As Cynder came running after Spyro and shadow spyro had manged to grab her and hush her while they were listing in on the conversation
"Don't be worried about them." the voice said
"But what if they think that you are controling me they will take you out with out even a second thought." shadow said responding to the voice
As Spyro and Cynder walked into the room silently they asked shadow "Who is that Shadow?"
"So you finally found out let me explain since not only does this dark nexus give me power it is also a place where the taint can materalize without fading."Shadow explained to them
"Ah Spyro so nice to see you again and Cynder I have heard all about you." the taint said in a dark but kind tone
"Well now you guys know my only friend." shadow said standing next to his taint while Spyro and Cynder were gaping at the sight of it
"So this is what you have been sneaking out for." spyro and cynder said grining
"We need to go." shadow said as the taint merged with him
As they got back to the cave Spyro couldn't stop thinking about how Shadow and the taint were able to merge so easily and how much darkness was in the taint to be able to become "real" so to speak...


Once again sorry for the extreamly late chapter oh and give me a few ideas for the next one

Chapter 10:Shattered memorys

As night fell Spyro was already asleep next to Cynder with shadow staring at the two as he began to pass out,when he was in his dream he was back where he was born and with his family he was so happy but all of those happy memorys were buried under hate,bitterness and,sorrow... as he became the child he once was
"Now son I'm going to teach you how to hunt today."Shadow's father said
"But Garrus isn't he too young."Shadow's mother said worriedly
"Non-sense Linda the boy needs to be able to kill at an early age."Garrius said happily as he walked off with shadow then everything faded and he was hunting "Dad look I killed one." shadow said holding a rabbit carcas in his paw
"Nice job son and you left all the useable meat intact."Garrius said glad that his son was able to have sucessfully hunted and killed a rabbit
As everything went foggy Shadow was seen going into the cave smiling but his father was greving over his wife"Dad whats wrong?" shadow asked fearfully
"Shadow your mother is not with us anymore." Garrius said while greiving
"What!"shadow said before he fainted as he awoke it was several months past his mother's death and he was traing his shadow breath
"Good son your getting better now I have something for you." Garrius said as he gave shadow a powerful crystal that if given enough time would create a large crystal cave
"Thanks dad." shadow said as he planted it where he felt there was a santcuary
As he was running back he heard his father yell in pain as he ran and hid he saw that it was Spyro in his dark form and he could only watch in fear as his father was brutaly killed...
When shadow awoke Spyro was standing over him watching a stream of tears slide down his face
"Are-are you ok?"Spyro asked watching shadow get up
"You killed my dad!"Shadow said as he pulsed with dark energy and scratched Spyro in the face
"What the heck is wrong with you!"Cynder yelled as she saw blood coming out of spyro's mouth
"He's evil I told you that he's evil"yelled sparx
As he said that Shadow flew back to his cave having no where to turn
When he reached it he was able to finally draw the true power of the nexus "When they come I will be ready." shadow said absorbing the darkness within the cave


meanwhile...

"I dont know why he attacked me but he said I had killed his father."Spyro said worried
"Either that or he was always evil." sparx said mockingly

Ok sry for the triple post but I cant resist writing another

chapter 11:the fight

As Spyro and cynder flew off to the cave but when the got there they were greeted by shadow
"Hello mom dad why have you come here?"
"To hurt you!"Spyro said letting the darkness in the cave turn him back into dark spyro one he killed shadow he faded into nothing
"It was a clone come on we need to reach the runt!"Spyro said as he ran tword Shadow in the center of the nexus
"You made it but oh no you've been corrupted!" shadow said becoming scared knowing that death was around the corner
"It's time for you to die you runt!" Spyro said pushing cynder out of his way before blasting shadow with his convexity breath
As shadow got up he created 10 copys of himself which along with himself moved faster than Spyro could see
"Strike!" shadow said as he and the clones brought spyro to his knees
"I'm going to try to purify you now hold still." shadow said as he cleansed spyro completely
"Ugh what happened." Spyro asked as he got up
"Well you turned dark and tried to kill me." shadow explained
Then they started to fly home but heard something inside of their cave...

Chapter 12:A traitor


As they reached the cave they all saw a shadow but as he saw the real one he attacked before anyone could speak...
"Ugh get off of me!"Shadow said as he was fighting with the clone when the two were done they couldnt tell which one was the fake so Spyro had to choose to shoot one down
"Dad it's me Shadow."the shadow on the right said
"Dont listen to that imposter!"the shadow on the left yelled
"Hey you're the fake!"The one on the right said
"Dad He's going to kill me and then you." the one on the left explained
"Ok I'm going to ask a few questions. question 1:What was your dad's name?" Spyro asked
"Garrius." the two responded
question 2:"What is your favorite activity?" spyro asked
"Hunting." the two said
"The one on the right is the fake." whispered sparx
"Ok." Spyro said as he blasted the one on the right to the wall
As he felt the impact to the cave's wall shadow knew it was all over the clone was going to kill them all
"Thank you for ridding me of that imposter dad but can I finish it off?" The clone said while grinning evily
"Ok." Spyro said as he watched "Shadow" atttack the "clone"
As he was about to go for the finishing blow the real shadow grabbed him and then slaughtered him violently
"You almost killed me!"Shadow yelled angerly at Spyro
"Calm down I didnt know which was which but you did well killing it while you were severly damaged."Spyro said grining
"Yeah I guess..."Shadow said as his wounds started to ease in pain

chapter 13: Dad!?

"I still can't beleive you shot me though."Shadow said as he was checking himself over
"Yea I wish he would have managed to kill ya."Sparx said jokingly
"Yes and while that clone wasn't me it still retained my memorys so watch your mouth incase one goes crazy again."Shadow said grining
"So what now?"Spyro asked
"Well I'm heading off to my cave come if you want." shadow said as he flew off
"Well wait up."Spyro said chasing after him
When they reached the cave there was an uneasy feeling that Spyro had about it.
"Dad what's wrong?"Shadow asked while they were entering the cave
"I just feel weird here I mean this is one of the darkest places I've been to..."Spyro said as they entered the main chamber
"There is nothing to worry about." shadow said as his eyes started to glow
"No there is,this place is corrupting you!"Spyro exclaimed with fear while backing up to the wall
"Dad there's nothing wrong me."Shadow said
"Spyro there is nothing wrong with my son..."A voice said filling the chamber
"Who-Who's there."Shadow and Spyro said in unison
As the voice materilized it's self revealing that it was Garrius
"D-dad is that you!?"Shadow said a bit freaked out
"Yes son it's me."Garrius said in a loving tone
"But how is this possible?"
"Well when I gave you that crystal I stored my memorys in it..."Garrius explained

chapter 14: Dreams


"So which crystal are you in?" shadow asked looking around
"The one next to you."garrius told him
"Ok."shadow said as he put the crystal in his brace
"Why are you doing that?"garrius asked
"Well so you can come with me."shadow explained
"Good I need to get out of this cave..."garius answered back
As they left the cave shadow could feel something alive in the crystal but it only made spyro uneasy
"Could you get that thing away from me!"shadow yelled angerly
"What's wrong with you?"shadow asked while they were walking to the cave
"Ugh just get it away it's creeping into my head!"Spyro yelled bitterly
"Fine."Shadow said as he began to fly back to the cave
As they both reached the cave and got food for everyone it was already night,one by one they all began to sleep with shadow being the last one to sleep... when he did he had done something thought impossible...
"Where am I?"shadow called out with no answer
"Well I see this portal and I see trees I wonder what would happen if I just..."shadow said as he entered the portal
"I got you now."spyro said happily running to cynder
"Oh no you don't."she said as she dodged him
"Wait I know where I am...I'm in Spyro's dream!"Shadow exclaimed as he stepped out of the bushes
As he did Spyro came crashing into to him
"Sorry are you ok?"Spyro asked as he was standing over shadow
"Yeah I'll be fine."Shadow said to him
As he said that everything froze and he awoke to a sunlit sky
"Dad do you remeber your dream last night?"shadow asked as he awoke
"Yeah you were in it."Spyro said with an odd look on his face
"Well I went into your dream last night..."shadow said with a guilty look on his face
"Well I'm not blaming you for this but when I woke up today I felt like killing something or someone."Spyro said staring at shadow
"What do you mean?"Shadow said backing up to a wall
As spyro began to turn dark he could only see shadow as an enemy
"You die now you little runt!" spyro said as he lunged tword shadow
As he was everything slowed dow throught shadow's eyes
"Everything is so low which means I'm moving fast so get behind him and attack." shadow said as he went with the plan...

chapter:15:Weakness


After the plan had suceded the rest of the battle was easy...As shadow had brought Spyro to his knees he said "Had enough!" in a scornful tone
"Never!" spyro said as he struck shadow on his arm and poped the crystal out of his posesion
"No."shadow said trying to get up
As spyro was completely possesed by the darkness his only concern was to get more power so he devoured shadow's crystal with his fater and it's darkness in it
"Dad!"Shadow yelled in fury as it had just pushed him over the edge
"Hahaha you're only a weakling!"spyro said as he attacked a weakened shadow
as he fell to the ground shadow asked "What will you do with me?" fearing that death was nearing
"Hmph weakling!"Spyro said as he slashed shadow's neck killing him...

As shadow opened his eyes he found himself in a damp cave with a white dragon sitting near him
"Who-who are you?"shadow asked looking up at the white dragon
"Young dragon I have no time to explain who I am but you are dead but I can give you one more chance now go live on."the white dragon said sending him back

As shadow opened his eyes he saw cynder and suprsingly enough spyro sobing over his body
"He's dead and it's all my fault."spyro said looking at the ground
"D-dad."shadow said weakly
"Shadow!"spyro said happily with tears in his eyes
"Yeah you killed me."shadow said as he got up
"And I ate your crystal with your dad in it"spyro said nervously
"You did what!" shadow yelled angerly

chapter 16:The prophecy


"You know what I don't need this!" shadow yelled angerly as he flew out of the cave to go to the white isle
"Hmph he was gonna kill you man relax."sparx said in his usual tone
"Yeah I know but right before he left his face was stricken with agony and rage."Spyro said in an uneasy tone

several hours later...

"Ok as I recall I have to pass the tests in order to get to the chronicler."Shadow said as he landed

another hour later...

"Ok I did the test now if I understood the voice correctly I have to come face to face with my worst fear." shadow said steeping to the challenge
as he made it to his enemy it was himself but a more powerful version that had lost control which was his worst fear... as the two began to fight they mimicked eachother's every move... finally as the battle intinsified shadow had finally killed his greatest fear and entered the chronicler's chamber
"What brings you here young dragon?" the chronicler said warmly
"I-I need to see a few things."shadow said nervously
"Let me guess you want to see your book." the chronicler said tirely
"Ye-yes sir."shadow said as the book floated to him
"What's wrong young dragon."the chronicler said sitting down near shadow
"Well let me show you." shadow said as he flipped to the page where Spyro turned dark and devoured the crystal
"Yes this page greived me,to see the brightest beacon of hope to me turn so dim."the chronicler said sadly
"Wait you're ignitus aren't you."shadow said looking up at him
"Yes I am but you are a part of a prophecy as well."ignitus said getting another book
"Wait what prophecy?"shadow said watching the book flip through pages
"The prophecy of the cleanser."ignitus said as the book stopped

chapter 17:Hidden feelings


"So you're saying that I'm suppost to be some sort of cleanser."shadow said looking at ignitus in confusion
"Not exactly...you see the fact that you are able to absorb darkness and not become corrupted is amazing and according to prophecy you are to take all of the darkness in the world but others will try to stop you."
"Hold on you're saying that I have to do all of this while risking my life?!"shadow said while looking into the book
"Yes but once your quest is complete you will have to choose how you use it and that is the part I can't quite see yet...now you had best get back to spyro."ignitus said as he sent shadow on his way

1 hour later...

"Cynder have you seen any traces of him?"spyro asked cynder worriedly
"No,but calm down I mean you seem really worked up over him."Cynder said walking up to Spyro
"Oh there he is."Spyro said as he saw shadow flying tword the cave
as he reached the cave shadow said"Sorry I'm late I had to do something important."
"And what was that."Spyro asked
"Well I went to see ignitus."shadow said some what happily
"You did what?!"spyro exclaimed
"Yeah pretty good security around the place."shadow said looking at spyro
"Ok"spyro said shocked
"Any way dad if you had a chance to rule the world undefied would you take it? shadow asked grinning
"No,would you?"spyro asked
"Yes I would."shadow said with his dark little grin
"Well why would you?"spyro asked
"Well you have power,control,and dominance."shadow answered
"What about love,friends,and joy?"spyro asked
"Well you have to live with out them."shadow answered coldly
"Why do you say that?"spyro asked
"Because when my parents both died in order to survive I had to forget happiness,joy,love,and all of those other worthless weak emotions."shadow answered coldly
"How could you even live like that?"Spyro said trying to reawaken shadow's emotions
"Well you just forget about them and hide them where no one could see them."shadow said relizing spyro's plan

"An "imotional" person like you would'nt get it so I'm just waisting my time here."shadow said preparing to fly
"Emotional what does that even mean?!"spyro asked shadow
"It means that you use them often,now then I need to go do something"shadow said flying off
"Am I really like that that?"spyro asked
"Well..."cynder said

meanwhile...

As shadow landed he saw four other dragons near his age one was red and was a girl,another one was white and he was a boy and was the oldest,and the third one was orange he was a boy but he was the youngest of the group,the last one was a green boy.
"Hi um would you guys mind if I joined your group."shadow said nervously'
"We are in need of a fifyh member so sure."the white one said warmly
"Thanks but could you guys tell me your names."shadow asked politely
"My name is Kira."the young orange dragon answered happily
"My name is Nina."the red one answered
"My name is Drake."the green one answered
"My name is Hope."the white one said
"What's your name?"asked Kira
"My name is Shadow." he responded
"Do you have any friends?" hope asked
"Only one."shadow responded
"Any parents?" hope asked
"They're dead."shadow responded while looking at the shocked faces
As they managned to get to know shadow the more they felt like they needed to be there for him but he thought otherwise
"So who is your friend?"Nina asked
"Come with me." shadow said as he began to fly off to his cave
As they got there Kira began to become upset by the darkness
"What's wrong with him?"shadow asked
"Can't you feel that evil darkness in there?"asked hope
"No to me it feels like power but here is my friend."shadow said as the taint became "real"
"Hello you all."he said
When he stepped up to kira the young dragon had a nervous breaked down and curled up in a ball
"Nerver thought I would be able to do that much damage."the taint said
"He's only a hatchling you know!"Nina said angerly
"Ok"the taint said as he conjoined with shadow
As the two became one shadow said "It's ok now everything is alright." to kira

Shadow:Ever since his parents met their end he has become cold,cruel,and calculating.Also has a conciousness within his own called the taint but they work together just fine.Also has the unique ability to cleanse and use darkness as a strong form of attack

Kira: Only a hatchling still extremly naive and playful.He is a fire dragon but he hasn't grown any claws or proper wings yet and he is only able to blow a small puff of smoke at best.Still has very loving parents.

Hope:A dragon that is shadow's opposite.He has the unique ability to use light as a weapon. Has a mother and a fater

Drake: an earth dragon who cares about little and is just plain out happy go lucky.He is very adept in creating large quakes but rarely uses them on anyone.Has parents

Nina:A fire dragon that protects the hatchlings of well anywhere because when she was little brother get killed when he was only a hatchling and could'nt see yet that day she vowed to not ever let that happen again.
has a varity of fire attacks. Has some-what loving parents

Taint:Before meeting shadow he was givin the name shura which means bloodshed mainly because he showed no mercy in a fight.When shadow decides to use him he happily does it know that he is protecting the only one he can call a friend.

to be honest I'm making these next few chapters act 2 so we won't be seeing much of spyro or cynder

Guys I have'nt written a new in about a month so I need some help... ok just give me your ideas and I'll decide which one is best and will kind of base it upon that idea ok.

chapter 19: deception

"Really?"kira responded in a frightened voice
"Yes now come on."shadow answered in a some what caring voice
"We should get going."hope said trying to leave the dark place
"Ok"they all responded
as they flew off they were all thinking of what they had just seen and felt...
as the dragons parted ways and went to their homes safely and once they were all gone shadow just wandered aimlessly looking for something that not even he knew about.
"What are we looking for?" the taint asked
"I'm not sure."shadow answered
As he landed in front of a large dark crystal he let the taint out before he touched it.
When he did malefore's face appeared next to his body inside the crystal and he said "Ah shura you have broght him to me."in a dark voice
"What does he mean by that?"shadow said in a confused
"I never wanted you to find out like this"shura said in a sorry voice
"How touching you might as well tell him." male for said in a mocking tone

"So you little runt you found out but there's one thing you haven't found out but too bad it could have saved you."Zonoya said mokingly
"No why did you?"Shadow said as his mind was twisting and changing like when his parents died
"Can't you see boy I win once you are dead and I am free I will take my vengance and kill spyro then everyone else."malefore said triumphantly
"Ugh."shadow said in pain
"Are we hurting ha you are a little runt!"Zonoya said while laugh
"That thing you were talking about that I didn't know about I do you destroyed the only thing protecting me from it."shadow said in a dark tone
"What-what do you mean?!"Zonoya screamed
"I mean I had compassion not to kill so quickly and to trust but you have effectively destroyed that side of me."shadow said grinning evily
"You fools you did the unthinkable you see he was given certain mental barriers to make sure he dosen't unleash his true form."shura said calmly
When shura finished red glowing symbols appeared all over shadow's body and his eyes glow brightly.
"You asked for this!"shadow yelled before he began to attack
