Ignitus is the one who said that there were only two purple dragons known in history: Spyro and Malefor.

But then, Malefor said something like, "I'm sure Ignitus told you that there were only two purple dragons known to existance, but there have been many." Of course, he could be lying.

We are all so confused over whether a dragon is one color or the other. Amazing, isn't it?

Okay... I replayed "Malefor's Lair" to find out exactly what was said. Well, here it is:

Hmm... Maybe in Spyro: A New Beginning, Cynder got her flame ability from Malefor, since he said something about "carrying the flame".

Cynder lost all of her powers in ANB when she was freed. But regained them in DotD. And she is black, let's not start a debate again.

Why do you think? This is determined after the main thread. I believe that in the next part should focus more on character Cynder, and not, as in the previous Spyro. They should explain more about Cynder, Spyro because we already know about everything, it is quite clear to us ...

Yes, we do know a lot about Spyro, but not who his parents are...

His parents are probably normal dragons, honored in having a son, purple dragon. Probably when they saw that they have purple egg, then quickly gave them to the temple ... However, Cynder ... hm ... nothing is known about it ...
