alright. well, i just finished a part. here ya go!

Chapter 13: The Mountains

Snowflake walked for miles, and eventually reached the mountains. Snowball was right, there was hardly any snow here, except for the very top of the mountains. she looked all around her, and noticed that there were large boulders and rocks everywhere. there wasn't a path through the rocky mountains, and it was hard to tell which way to go. she then looked up at the mountain before her. towards the bottom, it looked easy to climb, but towards the top, the mountaint was steep.
"i guess i could try climbing it......" she muttered. she then walked up to the mountain, and began climbing. at first, it was rather easy. she kept walking until the mountain started getting steeper. hours passed as she scaled up the side of the mountain. by the time she reached the top, the sky started to get lighter. the sun was just rising, lighting up the land in bright warm colors. Snowflake looked far and wide as the sun shined down on the land. behind her was the artic which sparkled and glistened in the sunlight. in front of her was the grassland that led to the forrest, both of which appeared to be full of life when the sun hit it. then just beyond the forrest, despite the sun, the rest of the world was covered in darkness. Snowflake frowned at the site. dark clouds blanketed the land, and everything beneath the clouds appeared to be dead. it was if the very life had been sucked from the rest of the land. then in the center of it all, Snowflake saw a large mountain which rose up higher than the one she stood on. however, this one was nearly completely covered in darkness. Snowflake got an uneasy, disturbing feeling when she looked at that place. the sun was now higher in the sky, but even though it lit up the artic and the forrest, the rest of the world was still covered in darkness. Snowflake just couldn't understand it. what was going on? why did the world look so dark and lifeless even though the sun was out? Snowflake wanted to know what had happened to the land. now, she was even more determined to find the gaurdians. perhaps they had the answers to these questions, along with infomation on that black dragon, Murkvenom. she knew she would have to pass through the grassland and the forrest to get to the temple, which lay just up ahead passed the mountains. so she started to climb down the other side of the mountain. she then paused for a moment, and yawned. she hadn't slept all night, and trying to climb down the mountain now may end up in a serious accident. she then looked around for a place to rest. she soon spotted a small cave in the side of the mountain. she made her way over to it, and climbed inside. she was exhausted from her climb, and fell asleep instantly. she hadn't thought that by traveling all last night, and sleeping now, that she had gotten herself into a nocturnal routine. though going without sleep would not be healthy. evening soon came, and she had gotten a good rest so far. then she was awaken by a strange sound. she got up, and looked outside the cave, but didn't see the source of the sound. she then heard it again. it sounded like a mix between a dragon's growl and a bird' squawk. she then looked up, and saw the source of the sound. flying above her was an unusual creature. it's body was shaped like a dragon's, only it had no front legs. it had a dragon-like tail. instead of jaws, it had a black beak. it had raptor-like claws on it's legs, and claws on it's bird-like wings. it had yellow bird-like eyes. instead of scales, it had feathers. it's body color was brown. it was about half the size of an average dragon, and didn't appear to be very powerful. it soon spotted Snowflake, and swooped down from the sky with great speed. Snowflake screamed as the creature grabbed her with it's talons. it then circled the area, searching for a place to land and eat the dinner it had caught.

Chapter 14: Determination

Snowflake screamed in fear as the strange creature circled the area. but to her horror, her scream had alerted more creatures to the scene. they looked just like the one that had grabbed her, and they swiftly flew towards the creature that held her tightly in it's grasp. the creatures began to fight over who would get to eat Snowflake. as they fought, the creature accidently dropped Snowflake, and she began to fall rapidly towards the mountain below them. the creatures all screeched loudly as they swooped down to catch her. out of fear, Snowflake began to flap her wings rapidly, in the hopes that she would learn to fly, or at least soften the blow of the landing. she flapped harder as her speed began to decrease. however, that became a mistake as the creatures caught up with her. then one grabbed her, and began to fly off with her. the other creatures followed, screeching angerly. the others eventually caught up, and another fight broke out. the creatures clawed at each other fiercly, and some ended up clawing Snowflake as well. she screamed in pain as they attacked both her and he creature that held her. then in a desperate attempt to escape, the creature dove down in a dizzying dive. the others dove down after it, still screeching angerly. the creature flew faster, flapping it's wings rapidly. it then turned upward, and began flying towards the grassland. the others did the same, flying faster to keep up. as they flew over the grassland, Snowflake screamed in terror. the other creatures eventually caught up once more, but as they did, the creature dived again to escape. it then continued to fly way from them, soon reaching the forrest. seeing the forrest below, Snowflake wanted to be on land even more now. the other creatures caught up yet again, and yet another fight broke out. Snowflake was dropped once more, now rapidly falling towards the trees. the creatures continued to fight, not knowing what they were fighting for was plummiting to the ground. Snowflake soon hit the branches of trees, and groaned in pain as see bounced from branch to branch. she soon hit the ground with a thud. she layed there motionlessly covered in wounds and bruises. she then grunted as she struggled to move. she used all her strenght just to stand, and her legs trembled beneath her. she was now standing in the forrest. she knew that she didn't have that much farther to go now. she then raised her right paw, and attempted to set it down in front of her. she groaned in pain as she attemped to walk. she started off slow, groaning every time she moved. after a few moments, she began to move a bit faster, despite the pain. determination kept her going as she slowly walked deeper into the forrest. many hours had passed, and she hadn't walked far. she was still walking at a slow pace, but wasn't in quite as much pain. she hadn't realized that her wounds had been healing on thier own this whole time. with every step, she felt a little better. she had a look of sheer determination as she continued walking. her wounds healed slowly, but she seemed to heal faster than most dragons. a couple more hours passed, and she was feeling better. her wounds were almost completely healed now, and she was walking at a normal pace. she held her head high now, proud that she had come this far, and hadn't given up. she took long strides now, feeling as though nothing could stop her from reaching the gaurdians.

Chapter 15: Flash

after sleeping in a small den, Snowflake awoke the next morning feeling refreshed. her wounds had fully healed over night, and she was now ready to continue her walk through the forrest. she walked for a while, but wasn't sure where she was going. she felt as though she was wondering around in circles.
"did i pass that tree already.....?" she muttered as she gazed up at a tree. "....it certainly looks familair.....then again......they all look the same by now......" she continued. she then continued walking. she soon came to a large clearing with plenty of mushrooms all around. she then hid behind some bushes as she spotted something in the clearing. it appeared to be a small, orange bug of some sort. he wore a red scarf, a brown western-style hat, and faced a dummy made out of wood.
"this forrest ain't big enough for the both of us....." he said in a deep voice, which didn't sound like his own. he then got out a small knife. "you want a piece of me, boy?" he said, hurling the knife around, trying to look intimidating. he then accidently lost his grip, hurling the knife towards the dummy. "oops....." he muttered quietly, his voice sounding higher pitched now. then the knife hit the dummy in the chest. "yeah! that's what i'm talking about! nobody messes with me!" he shouted, flying around like some kind of hero, and flexing what little muscles he had. Snowflake chuckled quietly from the bushes.
"ha! you call that good? i've seen flies with better skills." a deep male voice laughed.
"who's there?!" the orange bug whirled around frantically.
"it's only me, Flash! geez, have a heartattack, why don't ya!" a big, muscular, green bug chuckled.
"i knew it was you, Rocky! you didn't scare me one bit!" he said, quickly.
"right. anyway, i came out to see how your so-called training was going. beat any bad guys yet?" he chuckled.
"laugh all you want, but i'm going to be the greatest hero of all time!"
"oh, really? and how do you expect to beat all of the big, powerful dragons? hmm? after all, you're only a dragonfly."
"oh, leave him alone, Rocky." a gentle, sweet, female voice said.
"oh, i was only kidding around, Vi. geez." Rocky rolled his eyes. Flash took his hat off, and gazed at the purple dragonfly that flew up to them.
"well, howdy there, ma'am." he said in a western accent, bowing like a gentleman. she giggled.
"oh, Flash, you are so funny sometimes." she said, blinking her eyes.
"stop flirting! you'll never get her that way!" Rocky said, taking away his hat.
"hey! that's mine!" Flash yelled, trying to grab it.
"give his hat back, Rocky." she said.
"oh, fine. here." he said, giving it back. Flash took it, and put it back on.
"so, Violet, meet me by the old oak tonight?" he asked nicely. Rocky rolled his eyes.
"sorry, i can't. i'm busy." she said.
"ha! i kenw it!" Rocky laughed. Flash sneered at him.
"would you boys stop with all the fighting?"
"i will if he will!" Flash said.
"i will if he proves himself that he shouldn't be made fun of!" he chuckled.
"oh, i will! you'll see! one day, i'll be a great hero! i'll save millions of lives, and they'll build statues of me, and praise me, and forever tell legends of my adventures! you'll see! you'll all see! one day, i'll be great!" he said with his head held high.

hahaha nice chapter, the big picks on the little guy, little do they know of a certain dragoness watching them.

yeah, i thought this chapter might get a chuckle or two. you'll learn more about these crazy characters in the next chapter.

Chapter 16: Firefly

after Flash's little heroic speech, Rocky and Violet left him to his training. they rolled thier eyes and shoke thier heads at what they considered the insanity of thier friend who dreamed of being a hero. Flash faced the dummy with a look of pure determination. he wanted to prove them wrong. he then got out a brown boomerang with red stripes. he threw his hand back, and accidently let go of the boomerang. he sat there, scratching his head, wondering where it had flown off to. meanwhile, the boomerang circled around a tree, and was now heading straight for it's owner. then to his surprise, Flash's boomerang came up from behind him, hit him, and sent him flying into the wooden dummy with a thud. the boomerang landed on the ground while Flash did the same. he had landed in the sticky, messy mud. Flash lifted his head, and wiped the mud off his face.
"all right.........you win........" he muttered, looking up at the dummy. he then groaned as he got up, and cleaned himself off. Snowflake watched from the bushes, laughing out loud at the scene. her laughter was heard, and startled the little dragonfly. "who's there?!" he whirled around, holding his fists up, as if ready to defend himself. he then turned towards the bushes where Snowflake hid. "what's your problem?!" hw shouted. Snowflake was silent. "yeah, i'm talking to you! what's the big idea, laughing at me?! huh?! you think that's funny?!" he yelled. Snowflake was a bit surprised. "well, i'll show ya funny! how'd you like it if i gave you a taste of the Flash?! huh?!" he yelled. he then waited for an answer. all was silent. "yeah, that's right! that's what i thought! nobody messes with me! darn bushes! i'll teach ya to laugh at me while i'm training!" he shouted. realizing what he had said, Snowflake began to laugh again. "what's that?! you dare laugh at me again?! well, you just made a big mistake bub! i'll show ya just how tough i really am! bring it on, you old bushes!" he shouted. then he yelled out a battle cry as he raced towards the bushes. Snowflake gasped. she didn't expect such a small creature to act that way. Flash neared the bushes, and held up his fist to attack. he then flew right through the bushes, and stopped right in front of Snow's face. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GIANT MUTANT BUG!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs. he then turned around, and raced in the other direction. he soon reached the dummy, and hid behind it, full of fear. Snowflake rolled around on the ground, laughing her head off. his fearful expression was hilarious to a young dragon. at the sound of her laughter, Flash became curious. he stopped shivering, and peaked around the arm of the dummy. "that's not funny!" he yelled to her. it took a few moments for Snow to calm down, and when she did, she came out of the bushes. she stepped into the clearing, and looked at the dummy. she then looked behind it, and spotted a fearful little dragonfly.
"i'm sorry.......i didn't mean to laugh at you......" she said, still chuckling. "...i'm sorry if i hurt your feelings......." she said, calming down a bit. Flash came out of hiding.
"well, you did........and it's not funny...!" he said, inching towards her.
"well, it was to me. but i'm sorry, ok? i didn't want to hurt your feelings. i didn't mean to. i was just laughing. i didn't mean to scare you or anything."
"scared? me? nah! i'm not scared of anything!" he boasted, holding his head high.
"no, of course not." she giggled.
"so, what's your name, kid?" he asked.
"Snowflake." she answered with a cute little smile.
"Snowflake?" he asked, curiously. "but you're red. snow is white. you're not. you're red. and snow is white. and you're not white. so why are you named after something that's white?" he asked. she giggled.
"i'm from the artic. my dad's an ice dragon. he found me as an egg, and adopted me." she answered. Flash looked puzzled.
"ice dragon? so, you're not a giant mutant bug?"
"nope. i'm a dragon." she giggled.
"oh. what kind?"
"i don't know." she shrugged.
"oh. well, you're red."
"we've been through that." she giggled.
"i know. but still, you're red. why Snowflake? i mean, wouldn't you breathe fire or something?"
"my dad named my that. he said that he saw me catching snowflakes on my tounge, so that's what he called me."
"uh huh. well, i'm Flash. i'm called that because........everyone calls me that." he smiled. she giggled.
"so, they just call you that? your parents didn't name you?"
"parents? uh, i don't have any. me, my friend Rocky, and my other friend Violet all live together, and have been since we were little. we don't have anyone else."
"that's so sad..." she frowned.
"not really. we look out for each other. and hang out together. and pick on each other. and sometimes fight."
"oh, so you're like a family." she smiled.
"not really. i mean, we're not related. i mean, me and Rocky have spent years fighting over Violet. she never chooses either of us though."
"oh. well, at least you have someone."
"yeah. you too. by the way, have you ever thought of, like, i don't know, changing your name?"
"what? why?" she asked, curiously.
"i don't know. it just doesn't suit you. i mean, you're red. snow is white. why Snowflake?" he asked. she giggled.
"i told you, my dad named me that."
"well, Rocky calls me all kinds of names, but i only respond to Flash. you know what?"
"what?"
"i'm giving you a new name!" he smiled at the idea.
"a new name?" she asked, cocking her head to the side.
"yeah, yeah! it's a great idea!"
"but what would you call me?" she asked.
"uh.......uh........" he thought. he then started looking around for ideas. "oh!" he smiled wide, nearly jumping up with his hands in the air. "i know what to call ya!" he snapped his fingers.
"what?" she asked, curiously.
"ok, check this out, your new name is..........." he then mimicked a drum roll. "Firefly!" he shouted proudly. "cool, huh? i came up with that! it's your new name! isn't it just awesome?!" he said, excitedly. Snowflake was less enthusiastic.
"Firefly?" she asked.
"yeah, yeah! it's perfect! 'cuase your a dragon, so you can fly! and you're red, so you should be able to breathe fire! see? fire. fly. Firefly! it's totally awesome! plus, it's a little lightning bug that i see at night sometimes, and i'm a dragonfly, so that fits too! see? it's turly is perfect! isn't that just totally awesome?!" he shouted with glee.
"Firefly......." she muttered. "..........Firefly................Firefly................Firefly................" she repeated. she then gazed up at the sky. "......Firefly.........." she cracked a smile.

hehehe how cute. i like this chapter you can see these two are spyro and sparx hahaha.

yes, they are. i had another pair like them, Fireflight and Alex. but mine don't really grow up together as siblings like Spyro and Sparx do. you know Spyro was adopted by Sparx's parents and raised as thier own, but in mine, they just run into each other, and the dragonfly is persistant in tagging along.

lol yeah i know how spyro and sparx story was, but yeah i like it nonetheless.

Chapter 17: Lost

Firefly and Flash became quick friends. after she told him about her little quest, he begged her to let him tag along. wanting some company, she agreed. Flash said he knew his way around the forrest, and could lead her to the gaurdians with great speed. Firefly didn't exactly believe that, but followed him anyway. they wandered around the forrest for quite a while, and Firefly was starting to feel as though she was going in circles, again.
"Flash, are you sure you know where you're going?" she asked.
"positive!" he flew ahead, his head held high.
"are you absolutely sure?"
"yes, i'm absolutely positive!"
"really? 'cause i think we've been walking in circles..."
"nonsense!" he spun around quickly. "i'm absolutely positvely perfectly sure that the temple is........" he faced the right, and pointed. "that way!" he said. Firefly sighed, then looked right.
"we went that way." she said, getting a bit annoyed.
"no, we didn't." he shoke his head.
"yes, we did."
"no, we didn't."
"yes, we did."
"how do you know? you got a map to the forrest or something?"
"no, but i remember seeign that big boulder."
"what do you mean? everything looks the same."
"not when there's only one big boulder in the whole forrest."
"there's more than one."
"how do you know?"
"i live here."
"good point, but i've seen that boulder before."
"no, you haven't."
"yes, i-- how would you know what i've seen and what i haven't seen?"
"because i'm leading you positively in the right direction! there's absolutely no way you could have seen somethign more than once. now, on with the show!" he said, pointing ahead. he then flew off into the distance. Firefly sighed, and rolled her eyes. she then reluctantly continued to follow him through the forrest.

hahaha reminds me alot of spyro and sparx very nice short chapter. hahaha made me laugh for sure.

Chapter 18: Zanna

a few more hours passed, and soon night came. the sounds of owls and crickets filled the air, and occasionally other animals would join in too.
"Flash, we've been walking all day. let's rest. i'm tired." Firefly complained.
"it's gotta be around here somewhere......" Flash muttered to himself, flying about, looking for the temple.
"if it was, we'd be there by now." she moaned, sitting down. Flash turned to her.
"why are you sitting? your not in the temple." he said, as if she was not allowed to sit.
"you mean we're going to keep going until we get there?" she said in shock.
"well, isn't that the point of trying to get there?"
"not if night comes before we get to the temple. we should rest now, and try again tomorrow."
"why? i mean, we're so close. it's not much farther."
"you said that hours ago! i'm tired!" she complained.
"well, so am i, but i'm not quitting."
"i didn't say 'quit', i said 'rest'." she corrected him.
"same diffrence."
"look, i'm resting for tonight. if you want to keep going, then you're on your own."
"but you can't get there without me."
"i can't get there with you, so what diffrence does it make?"
"oh, very funny!" Flash faked a laugh. "listen, i know what i'm doing."
"if that were true, i wouldn't be sitting on the ground right now."
"ok, you're upset. i get that. but we should keep going."
"i'm not upset, i'm tired." she corrected him again.
"whatever. look, are we giving up or not?"
"we're resting." she layed down.
"all right, fine. but we wake up early to continue our journey." he said. he then took off his hat and bandana. he layed them down on a rock, and he layed deown on the ground.
"why do you wear that stuff anyway?" she asked.
"what? this?" he looked at his hat and bandana. Firefly nodded. "i don't know. it just looks cool." he shrugged.
"well, you do look good in it." she smiled a little.
"why, thank you." he smiled.
"good night, Flash."
"good night, Firefly." they soon fell asleep to the sounds of the night. then the next morning, Flash woke up early like he said. he put on his hat and bandana, and looked at Firefly. however, Firefly was still asleep. he shoke her gently, speaking softly at first to try and wake her. then when that didn't work, he shoke harder. she remained asleep. he then shoke harder and yelled out her name. the sudden sound woke her up suddenly, and she looked around with a surprised expression. Flash chuckled, and said that they had to get going. she moaned, and reluctantly followed him through the forrest once more. Flash was wide awake, but Firefly yawned every now and then. they walked in silence, too tired to have a conversation this early. the forrest itself was also quiet, and was lite up by the morning sun. soon, they heard the sound of running water. then they found the source of the water, which was a small stream. they followed the stream, and soon came across a clearing. then, standing in the clearing, they saw a young black dragoness. they quietly gazed at her from the bushes. she had six white horns and white claws. her belly and inside wings were a deep purple, almost black. her tail appeared to have a little purple orb at the end of it. it shimmered in the light. her eyes were purple. she sat by the stream, and looked around occasionally. she appeared to be waiting for someone. "who's that?" Flash gazed in amazement, his mouth gaping open.
"someone who's so out of your league." Firefly said, closing his mouth with her paw.
"i didn't say i was going to ask her out. she's not even my type." he said, still starring.
"right. which explains why you're staring, and why you're eyes are almost popping out of your head." she said.
"i'm not starring....." he muttered. other than talking, he hadn't moved since he spotted her.
"at least blink every once in a while." she said. he didn't move. "hello? hello in there?" she waved a hand in front of his face.
"hey! you're blocking the view!" he said, tryign to see the dragoness. Firefly sighed and lowered her paw.
"you know what, you can stand here and stare at her all day, but i'm going to go ask for directions." she said. she then stepped out of the bushes, and started walking up to her.
"no, wait!" he tried to stop her, but couldn't. he then waited in the bushes. the dragoness saw Firefly walk over to her.
"hello." Firefly smiled in a friendly way. "my name is--"
"Firefly, right?" the dragoness asked.
"how did you.....?" Firefly gasped in shock.
"know your name? simple. i had a vision."
"a vision....? like, a vision pool.....?"
"oh, my, no. i don't need a pool to see visions."
"you don't....?" Firefly gasped again.
"no. i have what is called premonitions. it means i can see visions in my mind. but it doesn't always work when i want it to. it normally happens either in my sleep or when i touch something."
"oh....." Firefly said, still surprised.
"i see you have a lot to learn. my name is Zanna by the way."
"oh, that is a beautiful name!" a male voice said. Firefly looked back to see Flash fly up to them. "my, what a gorgeous creature." he smiled at Zanna.
"calm yourself, Flash. you're not my type." Zanna said, calmly. Flash gasped.
"what the heck.....?"
"she sees visions. she knows us apparently." Firefly explained.
"what? visions? how? why?" he inquired.
"there is a better place to discuss this. come. follow me." Zanna said. she got up, and started to walk away. Firefly and Flash glanced at each other. "come along now." she insisted. Flash followed her with a smile. Firefly followed curiously.

Chapter 19: The Big Race

"where are we going?" Firefly asked.
"who cares.....?" Flash drooled, staring at Zanna. Zanna swated him with her tail.
"stop that." she said, calmly as she led them through the forrest.
"yes, ma'am." he saluted her. he then flew up beside her, still smiling.
"don't call me that. i'm too young to be a ma'am. just call me Zanna."
"yes, miss Zanna."
"drop the miss please."
"how about you drop the act entirely? i mean, it's not she's going to date you, Flash." Firefly chimed in.
"well, maybe not, but you can't blame a guy for trying." Firefly sighed at that remark.
"anyway, back to my previous question, where are we going?"
"you'll see soon enough." Zanna answered with a smile.
"such a lovely smile...." Flash muttered. Firefly rolled her eyes.
"how soon?"
"sooner than you think." Zanna chuckled lightly.
"but not soon enough. look, can't you just tell us? i hate playing the waiting game."
"then learn to love it, because this dragoness isn't saying a word until we get there."
"you mean i won't get to hear your sweet voice until we get to wherever the heck we're going?" Flash gasped. Zanna chuckled.
"you know, for a dragonfly, you're kind of cute in a way." she smiled. she then jogged ahead of them. Flash smiled as if in a trance.
"she said i'm cute...." he said, nearly fainting.
"come on, lover boy. let's catch up before we lose her." Firefly said, reaching out a paw to catch him.
"oh no!" he gasped. he then flew after Zanna.
"hey, wait up!" Firefly called, running after them. the duo ran after Zanna, trying to catch up. Zanna heard them coming, and giggled as she ran faster. soon a race had begun. Zanna was in the lead with Flash and Firefly close behind. Flash flapped his little wings as hard as he could. he soon tailed Zanna, and tried to keep up. Firefly ran faster, passing Flash, and catching up with Zanna. Flash gasped, knowing he would lose them if he didn't think fast. he then quickly grabbed Zanna's tail, and held on tight.
"yeehaw!" he shouted as Zanna sped up, leaving Firefly behind. Firefly then ran even faster, and caught up with them again. "and Zanna's in the lead. but wait! Firefly is catching up by a hair! ooh! but Zanna runs faster, taking the lead once more! Firefly has a look of determination as she catches up with our leader!" Flash said in a speedy voice. "the two competitors approach a tree. they are at neck and neck! they're racing for the finish line! could this be it? who will be the winner? and it's.......it's...........it's...........Zanna by a hair! and the crowd goes wild!" he yelled. the girls stopped, and chuckled. Flash cheered, waving his hands in the air.
"looks like i'm faster." Zanna raised her head triumphantly.
"no way! you got a head start!" Firefly cried out.
"uh oh! looks like there's an argument between the competitors! this could get messy sport fans!" Flash said.
"you caught up. you just couldn't keep up."
"we'll see who keeps up with who in a rematch! unless you're scared to lose."
"i'm not scared."
"then race me again."
"we can't race again."
"why not? you chicken?"
"no. we're here." Zanna smiled.
"here? here where?" Firefly asked, curiously.
"just look around!" Zanna cried out. Firefly and Flash looked around. they then gasped. passed the tree, on the other side of some bushes, was what Zanna had led them to. "welcome.......... to the temple." she smiled, walking up to the big building before them.

well well a race and firefly loses, hahaha very funny how she argues with zanna.

yeah, lol. but it's more of a friendly argument. i personally like how Flash acts as if he's really watching a race or something.

Chapter 20: The Temple

"woah! it's the biggest building i ever saw!" Flash gasped with his mouth gaping open.
"isn't it the only one?" Firefly asked.
"uh, well.......yeah....." he muttered.
"well, come on." Zanna chuckled lightly. she walked up to the door, opened it, and went inside.
"coming!" Flash said, flying after her. Firefly sighed, and followed them inside the temple. they stood in awe as they looked around. they stood in a large room, which was connected to yet another big room. they then heard footsteps. then a large dragon walked into the room. it was a large, muscular male dragon. his scales were black as coal, and his eyes were yellow. he had four big black horns, and black claws. his belly and inside wings were a dark grey. his wings were old and torn, and his body had a few scars. his tail-end was shaped like a large blade, and was dark grey. he had black, blade-like spikes from head to tail.
"welcome." he said in a deep, dark voice.
"h--h--hello..." Firefly muttered, nervously.
"don't be nervous." Zanna whispered to her.
"step forward, young dragon, and tell me your name." he said, calmly. Firefly took a step forward.
"m--my name is Firefly..." she said.
"welcome, Firefly. i am Delano." he said.
"and i'm nonexistant." Flash said. Delano looked at him.
"i can see you, and hear you. therefore, you do exist."
"oh, really? i had no idea..." he said, sarcastically.
"and who are you, witty dragonfly?" he asked.
"i am the mighty Flash!" he said, flexing his little muscles.
"please be quiet now." he said. then he turned to Firefly. "now, what brings you here?"
"i found them both outside." Zanna answered, stepping forward.
"i see. come." he said. he then walked into the other room. Zanna followed. Flash followed soon after, with Firefly behind him. in the room were three large dragons, two male, and one female. Delano sat down next to the female. the other two sat across from them. they each sat around a circular pool of green liquid. Zanna sat down next to Delano. Flash flew up beside her, and Firefly sat down on the other side of him next to a big green dragon. she looked to her left at the dragon beside her. his scales were a bright lime green, and his eyes were emerald. his belly and inside wings were bright yellow. he had two white horns, and his tail-end was like that of a scopion's. Firefly blinked her eyes as she gazed at his body. his scales were so bright, it almost hurt your eyes to look at him.
"who is the child?" he hissed, revealing a long, forked tounge. acid started to drip from his mouth. he hissed like a snake when he spoke.
"she just arrived with Zanna." Delano answered.
"what element is she?" said a dark, deep voice. Firefly turned her head, and looked at the dragon beside the green one. his scales were a deep crimson, and his eyes were blood red. his belly and inside wings were dark red. he had six black horns, and black claws. his tail-end was shaped like a mace. he appeared quite fearsome.
"we do not know yet." Delano answered him.
"what purpose does she have for being here?" asked the female in a calm voice. her scales were grey, and her eyes were light blue. her belly and inside wings were white. she had two light grey slender horns. her tail-end shaped like an arrow. she was skinny, not very muscular, and didn't appear as large as the other dragons. she appeared quick and flexible. she was also the least menacing.
"Zanna?" Delano turned to her.
"i brought her here to inform her about us and the condition of the world." she answered.
"is she the one?" the female asked.
"i think so, yes."
"woah! wait a minute, wait a minute! the one what? what are you talking about?" Firefly asked.
"Zanna's vision." the green dragon hissed.
"she saw you." the crimson dragon added.
"you must be the one." the female added.
"we need your help." Delano finished.
"my help? for what?" she asked.
"for the world." Zanna answered.

Oh boy she didn't see that one coming. Very odd indeed ok very cool

Chapter 21: Meeting The Guardians

"what? what are you talking about? what am i supposed to do?" Firefly asked, confused.
"young dragon, we believe it is your duty to deliver us from the darkness that surrounds us." Delano answered.
"excuse me?" Firefly asked.
"yeah, like, could you say that in english?" Flash said.
"we need your help to save the world." Zanna said.
"wait, what? n--no! no, i can't do that! i just came here to get information, not save the world! i don't even have any powers!" she said. they all looked at each other.
"we can teach you elements." the female said.
"how?"
"we will show you." Delano said. he then got up, and so did the others.
"uh, Delano, i think you might have forgotten something." Zanna whispered to him.
"what?" he whispered back.
"the intro. you only told her your name." she said.
"oh!" he muttered. "er, Firefly. allow me to introduce the others." he said. "this is Hashim," he said, looked at the crimson dragon.
"hello young warrior." he nodded his head.
"we call him Snake." Delano said, looking at the green dragon.
"greetings." Snake hissed.
"why?" Firefly asked.
"that is not a hard question to figure out." Delano chuckled lightly. then he gazed at the female.
"her name is Aisha. she is my mate." Delano smiled.
"hello." she said, sweetly.
"the four of us are gaurdians. each of us is a master of a diffrent element." Delano explained.
"your the gaurdians?" Firefly gasped. she couldn't believe she finally found them.
"yes. is there a problem?" Delano asked.
"uh, no, nothing..." she muttered.
"very well. now that the introduction is complete, let us journey on to another room." Delano spoke. Hashim, Snake, and Aisha nodded, and walked off. Zanna nodded, and followed them. Flash flew after her. Delano looked at Firefly.
"where are we going?" she asked.
"to prove you wrong." he smiled.
"what do you mean?" she asked.
"come, and i will show you." he said. he then walked after the others. Firefly followed, highly curious. the group walked down the hallway, and soon stopped outside a large door. "enter." Delano said to everyone. Aisha opened the door, and walked inside. the others walked in behind her. Firefly and Flash gasped. they had entered an enormous round room. they then gazed at the center, looking from the floor all the way up to the top of the room. what they gazed at was a large statue in the middle of the room. it was of a dragoness with six horns, and her tail-end was shaped like a blade.
"who is that......?" Firefly asked, her mouth gaping open at the statue. the others, even Flash, looked surprised.
"you mean, you don't know?" Delano asked. Firefly shoke her head.
"dude! how could you like not know who that is?!" Flash blurted out. "i'm just a little dragonfly and even i know who that is!" he said.
"guys, relax. she's new. she doesn't know the legend." Zanna said.
"what legend?" Firefly asked.
"her legend." Zanna said, looking at the statue. she then walked over to it. "come see." she said. Firefly walked over to her. at the bottom of the statue were words. "read them." Zanna said. Firefly read them, but still had no clue what it meant. "out loud." she added. Firefly looked at the words.
"Fireflght: The Protector." she read. it still meant nothing to her.

now, for those of you who have read my previous stories (not tale of the ancestors, since it doesn't mention Fireflight), you should have an idea of where this is going. the name 'Fireflight' should mean something to you. if not, then you haven't read my others stories. again, Tale of the Ancestors doesn't count, since it doesn't mention Fireflight. now, for those of you are sitting here probally thinking the same thing as Firefly, Fireflight's legend will be told, but only briefly, since this isn't one of Fireflight's stories.

dang im sorry cynder09 i havent responded back, i didnt see you wrote another chapter, i guess i have alot of reading to do on your other stories. but nice way of merging your two stories together very nice.

that's ok. i haven't been able to get online this week. now, you don't have to read Fireflight's stories, her legend will be breifly told here. you can read her stories if you want to, but i must warn you, they are long. it's four books, and if i remember correctly, i put three of them on one topic. you can look them up if you want. just type 'Fireflight' into the search engine and you'll find her stories. you'll also find another story i wrote, which was just for fun, and doesn't relate to the actual stories.

ok well i kinda went thru the first book and im trying to go thru the last one, but ok i can see what she and firefly have in common unless now that i think of it i might know why shes realted to fireflights story but i'll wait and see. and im just glad your back online, just wondered how you have been

i'm good. and i'm glad you took the time to read or at least skim through the Fireflight stories. i know they're long, but you should have some ideas of what she has to do with Firefly. i'll try to write more today.

Chapter 22: Demonstrations

"who's Fireflight?" Firefly asked. the others looked surprised. Flash gasped.
"you mean you don't know?!" he cried out. Firefly shoke her head.
"i've never heard the name before." she said.
"you've never even heard of the name?!" Flash gasped, his eyes widened. "somebody get this girl to the library pronto!" he said, looking around.
"we shall discuss Fireflight's legend after we train." Delano spoke.
"train?" Firefly gulped.
"indeed. Snake, you start." Delano turned his head to the green dragon.
"shouldn't we wait for Tynan?" he hissed.
"Tynan is busy studying in the library." Delano answered. "now, begin."
"honey, it would be fair to wait for Tynan. after all, he wouldn't want to be left out." Aisha said.
"very well, dear. go get him." he said. then Aisha left the room.
"who's Tynan? does he have a legend?" Firefly asked.
"hey, don't look at me. i never heard of him." Flash blinked.
"you'll see who he is." Zanna said. then Aisha returned. she walked in, and then a dragon walked in behind her. he was a young male with jet black scales and light blue eyes. his belly and inside wings were grey. he had four grey horns. his tail-end was shaped like a blade, and was grey.
"hello all." he said. he then looked at Flash and Firefly.
"Tynan, this is Flash and Firefly. Flash, Firefly, this is my son, Tynan." Delano said.
"welcome to the temple." Tynan smiled.
"now, we shall begin training." Delano spoke.
"oh, Dad, can i start?" Tynan asked.
"have you improved on your skills?"
"yes, sir, i have." he nodded.
"then proceed." Delano said. Tynan smiled. then the floor opened up, and the statue began to disappear underneath. Firefly and Flash watched, surprised. once the statue was gone, everyone gathered near the walls while Tynan stood in the middle of the room. "we shall begin with something simple. are you ready?" Delano asked.
"yes, sir!" Tynan said. then a small ape dummy appeared.
"begin with a melee attack." Delano said. Tynan nodded, and lowered his head. he then charged at the dummy, and ramned it with his horns. the dummy was slammed into the wall, and it disappeared. "nice work, son. now, again." he said. then another dummy appeared. "use a diffrent attack." he said. Tynan nodded. Tynan ran over to the dummy, and grabbed him with his claws. he then jumped up, and slammed the dummy down on the ground. it disappeared. "great job. now, we'll move on." he said. a larger dummy appeared. "this one will be tougher. show me what you can do." he said. Tynan nodded. the dummy yelled and ran towards him. Tynan took a deep breath, and then let out a gust of wind, blowing the dummy straight into the wall. it disappeared. "wonderful. now, try again." then another dummy appeared. the dummy charged at him, ready to attack. then a cloud of darkness surrounded Tynan, and he disappeared. the dummy stopped, confused. then another cloud of darkness appeared, and Tynan appeared behind the dummy. he then blasted the dummy with shadowfire. it disappeared. "excellent. you may stop now." he said. Tynan nodded. he then walked over to his dad, and sat down. Firefly was impressed.
"how did you do that?" she asked.
"simple. i was trained to fight." Tynan answered.
"can i do that?" Firefly asked.
"yes, and we will teach you." Delano said. "hmm..... judging by your color, i assume you are either a fire dragon or a fear dragon. now, we must test that theory. Hashim," he said, turning his head to the crimson dragon. "i want you to begin training this young dragon. start with a demonstration if you will." he said.
"of course." he said. then Hashim walked to the center of the room. "give me a hard one. i like a challenge." he smirked.
"one step at a time, my friend." Delano said. then a large ape dummy, and a group of small ones appeared. the large one held dynamite.
"you call this a challenge?" he scoffed. the large dummy threw dynamite. Hashim swung around, and hit it with his tail, knocking it into the group of little ones. the dynamite went off, and they disappeared. the big one remained. the big dummy ran towards Hasim. Hashim smirked, and then grabbed the dummy with his claws. he then leaped into the air, spun in a circle, and then plumeted to the ground, crushing the dummy under his weight. it disappeared. Hashim got up. "hmph. at least make it harder than that." he scoffed.
"that i will." Delano replied. then four large dummies apeared, along with a group of smaller ones. each one had some kind of weapon. Hashim scoffed. he then turned towards the group of dummies. he opened his mouth, and let out a frightening screech. the dummies ran off out of fear. Hashim chuckled lightly. then two big ones rushed towards him. he turned towards them, and eyes began to glow. then the illousin of a big scary face appeared in front of him. the apes ran off out of fear. "Hashim, stop playing around and do some damage." Delano sighed. Hashim grunted. Hashim then rose up on his hind legs. the dummies raced towards him. illousins of scary spirits and creatures appeared, and circled the room. the dummies stopped, and looked around with fearful expressions. then Hashim roared in a terrifying way. then the dummies disappeared. Hashim then stood on all fours, and scoffed. he turned his gaze to Firefly and Flash who appeared quite fearful. Zanna and Tynan seemed a bit uneasy, but appeared to be fine.
"what's the matter? you never seen a fear dragon before?" he smirked.
"Hashim, don't frighten the young ones." Delano scolded.
"what? you wanted me to demonstrate my power."
"well, you're done now." he said. Hashim huffed, and went to sit down. Delano turned to Firefly and Flash. "are you two all right?" he asked.
"fine...." Firefly muttered.
"yeah.......never felt better......" Flash shoke with a fearful expression.

Chapter 23: Fear

"Hashim, now that you've done your demonstration, i want you to begin training Firefly." Delano spoke. Hashim nodded. "the rest of us will journey to the library."
"what about me?" Flash asked.
"you may stay with Firefly, if you wish." Delano answered.
"sweet. see ya guys later!" he waved as the others left.
"now, young warrior, i will teach you the element of fear." Hashim grinned.
"how? it doesn't look like a breath weapon of any kind." she asked. Hashim chuckled lightly.
"fear is much more than a simple breath weapon. why simply burn, freeze, eletricute, or blow away your enemies? yes, it gets the job done, and does so quickly, but is that all you want? do you not want to have a bit of fun while you fight? well, i do. and i for one, am happy to have the fear element. yes, i can let out terrifying screeches and roars to frighten my foes, and in some cases cause soem damage, but fear is not meant to be used as a meer breath weapon. as it sounds, it is meant to terriorize the foe. you litterally scare your opponents to death. yes, this sounds harsh, cruel, maybe even evil, but in the right claws, it isn't evil at all. it can be used to harm evil. after all, everyone has fears, even evil beings must have some kind of fear. so, let the training begin." he said.
"i don't know training came with a lecture....." Flash yawned out of boredom. Hashim gave him a look.
"you dare mock a gaurdian?" he grumbled.
"uh, no, no! i wasn't mocking! not at all! was i mocking, Firefly?" he smiled innocently.
"no, you were just bored." she answered.
"well, if you find fear so boring, then why don't you go to the library with the others?"
"i'm good." he said.
"all right then. let us begin." he started. "now, Firefly, i want you to begin with melee attacks. that will be your warm up." he said.
"uh, ok." she said. she walked to the middle of the room. Flash stood by the wall with Hashim. a small dummy appeared.
"attack." Hashim said. Firefly nodded slowly. she then lowered her head, and charged at the dummy. she rammed it with her horns, and knocked it into the wall. it disappeared. "not bad. now try again with a diffrent attack." he said. another dummy appeared. Firefly ran towards it, and tackeld it. she then clawed and bit it. after a few attacks, it disappeared. "you're attacks are simple. effective, but simple. try again." he said. another dummy appeared. she attacked weith her wings and tail. it disappeared. "all right. that's good for now. now, i want to see if you can use the element of fear. when a dummy appears, i want to see what you can do." he said. the dummy appeared. Firefly didn't know how to use fear.
"what do i do?" she asked.
"start off with a simple screech. see if you can do it without me explaining it to you." he said. Firefly opened her mouth, and then screamed. "stop!" Hashim said. she stopped, and looked at him. "all right, i see i need to explain it. i don't want you to scream. you are not suppose to be scared, your opponent is. what i want you to do is think of something scary that can let out a fearful screech. think of bringing fear to your opponent. feel the desire to scare them. try to let out the most frightening scream or screech you can muster. now, try again." he said. Firefly nodded. she took a deep breath, and let out a loud scream. "stop!" Hashim said. she stopped, and looked at him. "all right, i know fear can be hard to learn, but let's try again." he said. they tried a few times, but still nothing. they kept trying until Firefly felt as though she was about to lose her voice. Flash felt as if he would never hear again. "all right, that's enough." Hashim finnally said. "wait here." he continued. he then walked out of the room. Firefly sat down, and took a deep breath. Flash flew over to her. she mouthed the words "water." Flash nodded, and flew out of the room. he frantically looked around the temple for anything that could hold water. he found a small pot in one of the rooms. he grabbed it, and flew outside to the stream. he filled the pot with water, and struggled to bring it back inside. he slowly dragged it on the ground, trying not to spill any water. he eventually got it to Firefly. he took a deep breath while she drank the water.
"ah!" she sighed, feeling refreshed. "i thought i lost my voice." she said, rubbing her throat.
"i thought i lost my hearing." Flash said loudly, cleaning out his ears with his hands.
"i wonder why i can't learn fear....." Firefly muttered, feeling discouraged.
"cheer up, kid. you'll learn something." Flash said, patting her on the back.
"i hope so..." she muttered.

finally!!! hahaha, well looks like shes not a fear type dragon, hmmm or maybe just maybe she is. cant wait for more.

well, i'm glad your happy. more is on the way. a little warning though, it may get a little long and boring here. liek i said, i was going to breifly tell Fireflight's legend. so sit back, get comfy, grab yourself some popcorn, and prepare for story time.

Chaper 24: The Story of Her Legend

a couple of hourse went by, and Firefly and Flash were still waiting in the training room. then the door opened, and Delano walked in. they looked at him.
"so, Hashim tells me you had some trouble learning fear." he said. Firefly nodded.
"yes, sir, i did." she said.
"hmm, perhaps i was wrong. your color may be misleading."
"misleading?" she asked, curiously.
"indeed. becuase you are red, i assumed you were either a fire or a fear dragon. though we just proved you do not posses the element of fear. i would love to see if you could breathe fire, but no one here posses the element, so we can not teach it to you. we could try to teach you other elements, or perhaps you could try some on your own. but we will worry about that later. what i want to do now is tell you a story." he smiled at the end.
"a story, sir?" she asked.
"indeed. one that you my be intrested in. come with me, young one. we have much to discuss." he said. then she and Flash followed Delano out of the training room. he then led them down the hallway, and through double doors which led to a large room. it appeared to be the library. everyone else was waiting there. "gather around everyone, it is story time." Delano smiled. everyone nodded as they sat down in a circle. Delano sat with the doors behind him. Tynan was next to him, and Zanna was next to Tynan. Aisha sat next to Zanna. Snake sat on the other side of Aisha, and Hashim was next to him. Flash was next to Hashim, and Firefly stood on the other side of Delano.
"oh, boy! story time!" Flash cheered. Zanna chuckled lightly.
"which one are you telling, Dad?" Tynan asked.
"the legend of a very speacial dragon." he smiled.
"Fireflight!" everyone but Firefly said. Firefly looked confused. she didn't know why they they seemed to love her so much.
"what's so speacial about her?" she asked. the room went silent. Firefly felt embarresed.
"there is no need to feel bad, young dragon. it is not your fault you do not know the legend of Fireflight." Delano spoke.
"what did she do?" she asked.
"i am about to tell you." he said. everyone sat quietly, eager to hear the story. "now, centuries ago, when the world was in a time of peace, a young dragoness was born. it was night time, and many creatures were asleep. all but two dragons. they were two black dragons, both eagerly awaiting the hatching of thier child. the egg they gazed at was dark red. it then began to move. the parents watched anxiously as the egg hatched. then a beautiful baby girl was born. they smiled at thier daughter. she was dark red with blue eyes. they wondered why her scale color was diffrent from thiers. then the mother, Saphira, thought of a name. "Fireflight." she said. that was the name she thought of. the father, Drake, liked the name, and so they called their baby girl Fireflight. the parents began training thier daughter, and she learned quite fast. she could talk at birth, with her own name being the first words she spoke. within a week she learned to breathe fire. her parents were amazed with how fast she learned. they decided to take her to the temple. they taught her to fly, and she learned quick. they arrived at the temple and met the gaurdians; Spitfire, Icist, Thoron, and Bolt. she also met a young blue male dragon by the name of Quietfire. he was the son of Spitfire and Icist. they were surprised to hear that such a young dragon was learning so fast. they thought it sounded familiar. they then mentioned a purple dragon that had learned many elements quickly, and had great power. however, he turned out evil. the gaurdians argued over wheather Fireflight should be taught in the ancient ways, and after some discussion, they taught her the elements. after she had learned the four elements they could teach her, a black dragon by the name of Ironstone, arrived at the temple to teach her the darker elements. after she learned them, she heard that Ironstone worked for a higher group of dragons called the elders. they were gold dragons that had powers beyond the normal elements. she wanted to meet them, but she was too young, her parents denied it. she then set out on her own to find them. she stopped to rest in a cave, where she met a blue dragonfly named Alex, and a young gold dragon named Goldwing. they became friends, and Goldwing agreed to take them to his home, the elders' temple. there they met his parents, Goldheart and Goldsong. they told Fireflight of her destiny, and the prophecy she must fullfill. she was told she was the only one who could stop the evil purple dragon who wreaked havoc on the land. one her way back home, she ran into a large purple dragon. he said that someone was comming for her. then another purple dragon grabbed her. soon a fight broke out. the first purple dragon freed Fireflight of the other dragon's grip, and the other flew away. Firefligth thanked him, and asked who he was. he said he was her grandfather. he then led her to his home where he met her grandmother, a black dragoness. they also met a yellow dragonfly and a red dragonfly who were Alex's grandparents. Fireflight's grandfather asked if she has learned all her elements. she said she had, and mentioned the elements of fire, ice, electricity, earth, wind, poison, shadow, and fear. her grandfather said that those wern't all of the elements, and that she had one left to learn. her granfather demoed the element, but then apes and dreadwings attacked. in a dire emergency to help her grandfather, Fireflight used the very element he had tried to teach her. she defeated the enemies alone. he was amazed with her power. so was her grandmother when she heard what happened. after they showed Fireflight the vision pool, and told her of her true power, she set out to find the evil purple dragon. as the story goes, the evil purple dragon was actually her other granfather. her other grandmother was also a black dragoness. after overcomming a few obstacles to reach him, Fireflight faced the evil purple dragon in combat. in the end, Fireflight used all her powers to defeat him. the eruption of power caused the mountain where they faught to cave in on them. however, she managed to survive. her friend Quietfire dug through rocks and rubble to free her. after she gained conscienceness, the two returned home. at the temple, all the dragons celebrated. evil was defeated, Fireflight was alive, and the world was at peace. several years later, Fireflight and Quietfire had thier own child. but her legend doesn't end there. no, her legend is only beginning." he smiled.

Chaper 25: Legends and Choosen Ones

"Fireflight and Quietfire waited anxiously for thier egg to hatch." Delano began. "once it did, a beautiful baby girl was revealed. she lookedl ike her mother, but her scales were purple instead of red. though she did grow up to be just as powerful as her mother. when her daughter, Starfire, was in her teens, Fireflight had another child, a male purple dragon by the name of Fireball. both her children had the same powers as thier mother. however, Fireball lacked that one speacial power that Fireflight had. both children grew up to become powerful dragons. they foudn themselves mates, and raised thier own children. Starfire's mate was a silver dragon named Comet. Fireball's mate was an earth dragon named Nadia. both had one child. Starfire's child was a purple dragon named Destiny. she became the Pure One, a dragon destined to wipe out all evil and bring peace to the world when no one else is able to. the family line continued to grow with many generations to come. though Fireflight got older, her legend never ended. she sacrificed herself to save the world, but she was always brought back to life one way or another. she defeated her evil sister, Nightflight. she even defeated her evil ancestor, Artica. she also stopped an evil pair of siblings from ruling the world. and stopped many other evils such as Blackheart, and Styx. an evil black dragon and an evil sorceror who started out as a black panther, but became an ape by the cause of a spell gone wrong. Fireflight even became a Whitelighter, a gaurdian for Pure Ones. she also became an elder. she lived to defeat many evils. she sacrificed herself for the ones she loved. she always led our side to victory in a war. her final triumph, her last battle, was one agaisnt an evil black dragon named Angelus. he was younger than her, yet he was able to overcome her with power on some occasions. because of a spell he cast, they switched souls. she soon switched back when Fireflight reversed the spell. but because of the evil deeds he did in her body, she ended up being banned to the Wasteland by the elders. the Wasteland is a dead world where evil beings are sent to be tortured for all eternity. however, with the help of her sister Nightflight, Fireflight was able to escape the wretched world. however, she ended up in a diffrent world, one filled with gryphons and wyverns. after overcomming many obstacles and making new friends, she finnally made it back to our world. after a meeting with her friends, she headed out to find Angelus, and confront him in a final battle. the battle lasted quite a while, and most of the duration of the battle was fought atop a high mountain. Angelus has used a speacial sword to steal the powers of everyone around him. he used those powers to his advantage, and even stole Fireflight's powers for a time. however, this did not stop her. once she broke the sword and renewed her powers, she used every last bit of her strenght to defeat Angelus. spirits came to aid her in battle, causing a mass destruction. the mountain crumbled to the ground, burrying the two dragons underneath it. a close friend of Fireflight and the newest dragon elder, Goldstar, came to her aid. after digging through the rubble, she found Fireflight extreamly weak from the blast. though she would have done anything and everything to save her, it was Fireflight's time to depart this world. Goldstar cried for the death of her friend, as did everyone else. her descendants, Evelyn and Targon grew up, raised by Goldstar and the others. when they reached adulthood, they had thier own family, and continued Fireflight's family line. however, since Fireflight's death, there has not been another dragon as powerful as her. evil took over the world with no one powerful enough to stop it. only certain parts of the world, our temple and the artic, have either been protected or spared or the years. many dragons of tried to stop the evil from taking over, but none have prevailed. many more have tried to put an end to this darkness, but none come home alive. nearly everyone has given up hope, and those not slain or enslaved by the evil, were turned evil themselves. either give in or die, those were our only options. somehow, we have managed to survive. for years, we have searched for the Choosen One. the one destined to put an end to the darkness that has covered the land since the death of Fireflight. only the Choosne One can save us now." he said. then Delano turned to Firefly. everyone else did also. she looked back at them, shocked and astonished by the legend told, yet fearful of the darkness that had taken over the world.

wow ok now im caught up and bits of what i read make sense in these two chapters. Very cool nice job cynder09 but i saw many characters in there that were part of your other stories.

yes, yes, my stories overlap. you see, Fireflight was the start of it all. i began writing with her story. i continued her legend until there were four books. at that point, i began telling the story of her ancestors. then when i finished the fourth book, i started this story. it's almost like one big, long timeline. except it's kind of out of order. and keeping up with everything is somewhat difficult.
i'll try to write more today, but there's other things i need to do. if i can't write more today, i'll try to write more tomorrow.

question then does tale of the ancestors have anything to do with your other stories? im just asking because it seems like it. so if so then artica turns evil?

Tale of the Ancestors is basically the story of Fireflight's ancestors. it does relate to the other stories. if you read, or at least skimmed the Fireflight stories, then you may have noticed that the young dragons from Tale of the Ancestors are in the Fireflight books. so, they all overlap one way or another. and, yes, that does kind of give away a spoiler of how Artica ends up.

ok i see thats a big spoiler, poor artica.... wonder how inferno will take it, but i guess i have to skim thru again because i may have missed artica and her sister. back to reading.

well question do you remember what page in your fireflight story was where it explains what happened to artica on why she hates her sister alot and whos her mate at that moment? because im looking and man i cant find it in all those chapters. Because i see she has an egg but i cant find who it was with? And she also says she doesnt want to hear her sisters name in how she was defeated by her years before.
