I blame Activision for the plot holes. I say EL is innocent there, but of course, the Developers get blamed...when they had little time.

Yeah Activision should be the one to be pummeled by rants of how DotD came out.

That makes sense; EL didn't ask to be given the job.

Yeah, Activision seems to have a bad habit of giving the developers a small window of time to work on the game, and also switching developers suddenly and completely. :/ Which ends up causing a lot of confusion and inconsistencies.

It may be worth noting that I was refering to development in general, if it is an inhouse developer then it might as well be the publisher making the game; the diffrence is the developer's logo will be on the game and they will have a diffrent team of people working on it.

What you're all missing here is that it was SIERRA that were the ones to choose that ELB make DOTD... Activision took over Sierra a few months after the DOTD website was opened...

Its starting to become a bad habit I suppose bionicle28. I realize that Activision and Sierra joined together not too long ago. For some reason I just can't shake that feeling. Oh well I better learn sooner or later. I guess it is some sort of relief that it was Sierra that called all the bad shots and not Activision, this gives Activision a little more margin to please I guess.

The merger had been agreed to before that, and the process of consolidating was in progress. Anyways, as I recall the Activision logo was on the DotD site from day one onwards. And Activision gets to have cause all the bad stuff because they are less likeable than Sierra. |

Hm... Well, they've been working on the game for a while now, so it might not be so bad. I think the main reason why DotD was bad is because the switch from Krome to EL came late. You might not want to quote me on that given that I heard it from people on this forum not from a website with official info. Assuming one company has been making this game from the start and will continue to do so to the finish, it shouldn't be full of plotholes and whatnot.
