I was looking back through my old posts and I came to this topic..
Even if this comic does make Cynder look like a Mary Sue, it's just for laughs. I enjoy it at least :3

Why is it that Cynder beats Ember all the time? Why not the other way around for a change?

I'm sick off it. We don't know Ember's power, yet people are automatically thinking she's weak.

Ember, as of now, is basically a "role playing" character. She has no defined history as of now, and therefore, people do what they want with her, and give her their own personalities, sometimes literally.

Personally, I have actually seen more pics of Ember pwning Cynder, but then again, I generally don't look for pics that have the two of them fighting anyway, or even the two of them in the one picture.

In fact, most pics that I see that feature the two of them potray them as friends or even as lovers!smilie

Oh well. It's understandable people might do that, as Ember was basically an extra with no defined past.
Cynder, on the other hand, has a defined past, and has been shown to be a powerful combatant.

Put it this way:
If a Spyro game like Epic Mickey were to be made, Ember would be a Wasteland character.

I've seen plenty of "Ember pwns Cynder" pictures.

But the reason Cynder's always the winning female is because she did turn into a corrupted dragon, and her dark past. She obviously knows how to fight.
Ember, however.. In the short time she's shown, they portrayed her as a.. fangirly.. character with a cute little crush. If they wanted you to think she was some powerful dragoness, within that short time, they would have shown that somehow. But they wanted her to be just a little dragoness with a crush, maybe to add humor to the game, so that's how they introduced her instead.
That's how I saw it at least.
But they did change Spyro's personality since AHT a lot. they'll probably do that with Ember (if she returns of course, that is.) But we haven't seen any of that, so I don't blame fans for taking her personality from AHT and using it in their comics and continuing from there, instead of reinventing her personality.

Why can't Ember and Cynder just be friends? Besides, Ember fell in love with Bandit in SL. She doesn't have a crush on Spyro anymore. And Cynder can't just turn into her dark self randomly.

We don't know if Ember has a hidden power or not.

And the Ember vs Cynder argument is way too easy to solve it's ridiculous. Both Spyros are in completely different universes with two different personalities.

Ah Yes Shalones Comics...I would not advise you to read A bittersweet ending since everyone dies (even Spyro) in graphic detail
