There are guns in the first Spyro game, after that they went to cannons and lasers.

Oh yeah, they did put that in that game. But that's the only game I can think of with Spyro that has guns. Maybe they stopped using them after the first because maybe they got bad reviews or something, so they took out the enemies with guns.

Oh yes the dinosaurs in YotD have pistols.
Edit: To late, Skaab had a multi-barrel pistol.
