It didn't sound right in DOTD, they should've just left it as is and he still would've sounded ominous. I've heard him in other shows/games, and he is an amazing actor.

David Spade did a great job putting in a good tone for each of Sparx's moods, wither it be a joke or "OHSHEETCYNDER" moment, though he could have done a better job. West had an extreme lack of emotion and tone, and whoever wrote Sparx's lines added jokes at all the wrong times. I don't really remember what Sparx was like in DotD, but I remember thinking "wtf? Wayne Brady?" before the game came out, then thinking of how he didn't fit the role at all.

All in all, I think mostly Spyro and Ignitus' voice actors did a really good job. LoS got attention by using big names, but by either butchering their voices (like with Malefor) or not realizing the actor isn't good at voice acting, they screwed up. I actually play the games with the sound/voice off now.

And that's fine that you feel that way. Everyone likes what they like.

Honestly, the only voices in LoS that impressed me much, period, were Kevin Michael Richardson and Cree Summer. The rest went from bland to outright annoying for me.

At least Ashten Kutcher wasn't in

Watch "Bolt", gaul2. Miley Cyris is actually a fairly competent voice actor. She certainly does a much better job than Ricci (but, again, she had a good director and a bit more experience).

Actually, Aura24, I think Cynder was Ricci's very first voice acting role. If she'd been in the hands of a competent director, she could have been a lot better. But she wasn't (heck, if you think Wood was decent as Spyro, watch the movie "9" and hear what he sounds like under a real voice director; the difference is almost appalling, he's that much worse in LoS). Ultimately, I don't blame Ricci for her bad performance. Voice acting is not the same as physical acting and it's not entirely her fault that she wasn't so great at it.

I thought she voiced a female doll set from the movie Small Soldiers.

I'll have to check that. I only saw Small Soldiers the one time and the only female character I remember was voiced by someone older, I think.

Christina Ricci wasn't bad at all. It fit for Cynder quite nicely.

If Miley Cirus, whatever, did Cynder, I'd be very, very, sad.

She did ok as a voice actor. However, there were parts where she showed little emotion when needed.
