Chapter 6 ~

Dawn arrived pretty early the next day and Comet awoken with a large stretch and a loud yawn. He sat up and looked at the sunshining through his window, then at Krystal who was sitting on the floor playing around. He picked her up and looked at her, it was one of the only members of his Family left, so he had to keep her safe. He put her down beside him as she played with a small rock, he laughed a little as she kept seeming to drop it. Comet slipped her on his back and began to make his way to the main hall. After a tiring walk through the hall, Comet entered the main hall where he saw Ignitus and Volteer sitting talking.

''Good morning'' smiled Volteer. Comet put Krystal down and looked up.
''Good morning'' he yawned ''I'm so tired''
''Then why dont you go back to sleep?'' asked Ignitus. ''Everyone else is still sleeping''
''I tryed'' said Comet. ''But i couldnt'' He walked over to the balcony and looked outside at the fresh morning weather.
He breathed it in and was reminded of yesterday, about his family and how it had saddened him, he nearly broke down in tears again but redeemed himself. ''No'' he thought ''I must stay strong'' He walked back into the hall were Ignitus and volteer were Chatting, he walked over to Krystal. ''I'm going for a flight'' said Comet ''Take care of Krystal just now'' The two Guardians just looked at him as Comet flew off into the distance, then at Krystal who was still playing about with a rock. Ignitus grabbed a small peace of steak and handed it to her, she took little bites at a time.

The breeze blew over Comet wings as he flapped them to keep his height. He looked upon the distant lands, how they were so different from what he knew. There were the Forest and Mountainous lands, to the Volcanic and Water Lands, but there were so many more out there, he knew of it. Comet loved to go for flights, especially in the morning, it helped to keep him awake during the day. He was approaching the lake he was admiring yesterday, although it wasnt as beutifull during the day, with its sparkles at night noone can resist the mere beauty to fly for a closer look. Eventually after half an hour of flying, Comet landed by the river banks of the lake, sipping water from it slowly. He looked around at the trees breezing in the wind, he felt rushes of tears fly through his body, but he knew he had to be strong and hold them back.

The sun had fully risen by this time and Comet knew it was time for him to head back, the Wolves liked to come out and feed at this time and if Comet didnt get home quickly, he could be next for lunch on their list. He flapped his wings as hard as he could and flew off on the way to the temple, the breeze had settled and allowed him to fly straight on, but it was tiring as he needed to flap his wings extra fast. He landed just outside the temple door and walked in, but while entering everything had been shatterd to pieces, the guardians and the others had a shocked and scared look on their faces, but no sign of Krystal.
''What happened!?'' shouted Comet demandingly.

Chapter 7 ~

''Well?'' asked Comet, demanding to know. Cynder broke free from a pile of rubble.
''Those damn grublins!'' she shouted with anger in her voice.
''Grublins?'' asked Comet ''What about them?''
Cynder looked at him. ''They attacked the temple, they must be looking for you.'' she hung her head even lower. ''They also took Krystal''. Comet stared, his eyes widened with fear. ''No'' he said. ''She cant, i must find her!'' he shouted nearly in tears.
Ignitus walked over. ''We will find her Comet'' he tryed to comfort him ''But it may take a while''. Comet looked up, he couldnt believe this. ''No'' he shouted ''I must go now!'' he ran to the balcony outside, but just before he managed to take off into the skies, Spyro grabbed his tail, making Comet land with a large thud. ''What was that for!?'' he shouted.
''It too dangerous'' said Spyro calmly ''And didnt you notice!?''
''Notice what?'' asked Comet confused. Spyro looked at him.
''Those were the exact same grublins that killed your family!'' shouted Spyro ''Thats why they took Krystal, to lead you to them so they can kill both of you!'' Comet colapsed on the ground, he looked up. ''But why?'' he asked confused. Ignitus looked at him.
''Thats not important now'' said Ignitus. Comet looked in shock ''Not important!?'' he shouted angrily ''Not Important!? My little sister could be dead by now Ignitus! How is it not important!?'' Ignitus sighed and looked away, he knew he was never going to win over an argument with Comet. ''I'm going anyway'' said Comet sternly and he flew off into the distance, being watched by his friends.

Comet flew on over the land with his eyes stabled feirce and anger flowing throughout his body. He looked far across the lake, hoping to find a sign of his sister, but no luck at all. He stopped for a moment and looked acrosss the valley ''there must be a cave somewhere'' he thought. But suddenly he saw what looked like Grublins walking along the lower ground, they were carrying a wooden box and a blue paw was hanging out of it, Comet flew down to get a closer look, his eyes filled with relief once he saw what it was. In the small box was Krystal himself, helplessly trying to claw her way out, Comet just sat in tears as he saw his Sister be taken into the nearby cave, he followed on after them determined to regain what was his.

The cave was rather dark making it pretty hard to see, Comet risked it by breathing his fire to find his way through, even if it meant wasting magic. Upon entering the main chamber he smelt different types of beef, but he couldnt be distracted, he had to find Krystal. Comet searched high and low until he came across what looked like the box Krystal was incased in, he ran over to it trying to break the lid off. He ripped at it with his teeth and claws until the lid eventually flew off, revealing a happy looking Krystal. Comet picked up his little sister and held her close, flying for the exit, but was caught off guard by a rope being threw around his ankle. He fell with a large thud on the ground and Krystal rolled out of his arms, Krystal looked back at her brother and crawled to him. Comet nudged her away ''Go and get the others for help'' he said, hoping she would understand what he was saying as Krystal was a clever young Dragon for three years old. Krystal flew out of the cave, flapping her little wings as fast as she can up to the temple. She landed in front of a surprised Cyril who just look at her.
''Wheres Comet?'' he asked. Krystal just stared, she knew what he meant but didnt know how to respond, she wasnt able to speak.

Chapter 8 ~

Krystal stood staring, she didnt know what to do, she hadnt gained the capability to speak yet at her age, making it hard to communicate. ''Well?'' asked Cyril getting unpatient ''Never mind'' he grumbled ''Probablly another joke'' and he walked away pouting. Ignitus tutted and walked over to Krystal, he looked at her eagerly hoping she would come up with some sign of them getting to know where Comet was. Krystal looked up, she suddenly had an idea, but Ignitus understood her perfectly.
Krystal stood at the front door flapping her little wings, she nudged her head in the direction of the cave, Ignitus followed after with Volteer behind him. Krystal struggled to stay in straight flight as the wind blew her sideways, Volteer steadied her so she can lead them the right way.

They eventually arrived at the cave entrance with Krystal looking scared and anxious, but she knew she had to be brace and help her brother who has saved her life many times. Ignitus and Volteer followed on, looking around tha cave, Ignitus smelt the scent of foul rotten food and carcass, it was certainly not a nice place to be. They continued on forward looking for Comet, Krystal picked up a scent and ran forward, Ignitus and Volteer ran after her, Comet being revealed as they entered the main chamber. ''Comet!'' shouted Ignitus, he walked over and tryed to loosen Comets chains, it was no use. ''How are we gonna get you out of here Comet?'' asked Volteer. Comet looked around, for any sight of a usefull tool or substance that may break the chain apart, allowing hm to go free, but no sight. ''I....I dont know'' sighed Comet loweirng his head, he lost hope and knew it wouldnt be long till the grublins came back for him, he had to get the others away fast, before they became victims themselves.
''Guys'' said Comet, they looked over at him ''Just get out of here or you are all dead meat'' he stood up, everyone stayed silent.

Meanwhile Spyro had been getting fed up, they were taking too long. He sat up and looked outside, hoping to see a sign of them, Cynder and Sparx were sleeping at the time so they never knew anything that was going on with Comet and the trouble hes in, if he was captured, they didnt know if he came back from finding Krystal. Spyro tutted and ran to the ledge, he jamp off and flapped his wings lifting off into the air. He sniffed the air hoping to find a scent, but was eventually leaded by a distracting smell, it smelt like grublins. Spyro flew faster, the smell was getting stronger by leading him the right way, he landed in front of a dark cave. ''What is this place?'' he thought to himself, the stench got stronger nearly making spyro sick, he had never smelt anything so foul before. But what was even worse it fully collided with him when Spyro got deeper into the cave. Being brave against the stench, Spyro wandered deeper into the cave, he had to find them and he knew they were here.

The cave started to get wider and from what the eye could see into a large chamber, Spyro sharpened his look into the chamber and saw what looke like Dragons. He recognized them and immedietly ran over. ''Your here!'' he shouted, Ignitus immediatly looked over. ''Spyro'' he said shocked ''What are you doing here?''
''Well i was in the temple all alone, and i knew something was going to go wrong, so i just flew down here'' he said, he looked at Comet ''We need to get you out of here, those grublins are gonna come back'' Spyro ran over to the chain, and snapped it with his fury breath, Comet slowly got up and looked at him. ''Now lets go'' said Volteer, he ran to the entrance followed by the others and flapped his wings, lifting off into the air. Comet felt great to be out of those chains and flying free, hoping not to see those Grublins again, he carried Krystal in his arms and flew after the others up to the temple. They landed on the ledge outside and carefully walked into the temple to make sure nothing else bad had happened.

Infact walking in there was a surprise to them, every thing had been cleared, the broken pillars, the ruins the rocks, everything. Comet walked in, he looked around and saw Cynder with Sparx sweeping away the last of the remains, he looked surprised ''Did you two clean all this up yourselves?'' he asked. Cynder turned around to face him
''Yup'' she smiled ''But this little rascal hardly helped'' she feircely looked at Sparx.
''Hey, i helped a lot!'' shouted Sparx
''Did you?'' askd Cynder
''o.k thats enough!'' shouted Ignitus walking over ''Now i want you two to say sorry to each other''
Cynder and Sparx looked at each other, they didnt really want to.
''Well?'' asked Ignitus with a stern voice

Chapter 9 ~

Ignitus sighed, he looked at the both of them feircely, Cynder stood up while Sparx backed away a little. ''Well?'' asked Ignitus
Cynder rolled her eyes ''Sorry Sparx'' she mumbled. Sparx looked at her ''And i'm sorry too eveil one'' he whispered, Cynder looked at him with anger in her eyes. ''Now thats better'' smiled Ignitus as he walked away, Cynder's tail twitched in anger as Sparx just laughed at her walking away, not wanting to cause another fight. Comet sighed and walked forward with Spyro by his side, they walked over to Sparx who was grinning full of mischief. ''Why can you never get along with her Sparx?'' asked Spyro, Sparx stared into space thinking of his next plan. Comet looked at him and raised and eyebrow ''Sparx!'' he shouted, hoping he would hear. Sparx jamp a little ''Wha.. What!?'' he asked looking around confused. Spyro and Comet sniggered ''Have a nice daydream?'' asked Spyro.
Sparx blushed ''Uhhhh... what are you on about?'' he asked, scratching his neck. Spyro shook his head ''Nothing'' he sighed.

Comet walked away over to the hallway entrance, he sniffed around thinking about his Parent's. ''Why did they have to go?'' he sighed to himself ''Especially at this age, i miss them so much'' he lowered his head, feeling a rush of tears move up his throat, but he stayed strong and tried to hold them back. Cyril noticed him and walked over ''Is everything o.k?'' he asked.
Comet lifted his head up fast ''Uhhhh..yeah'' he said ''Nothing wrong at all'' Cyril looked at him with a weird look on his face ''Are you sure?'' he asked. Comet went to say something but stopped, his emotions had taken over him and he burst into tear and ran along the hallway into his room. He jamp on his bed and tried to control his feelings leaving Cyril confused.

Comet wiped his tears and looked out of the window, he felt as if is life was destroyed and toren apart, ''Why him? he thought.''
His life was running perfectly before the incident, now it was in pieces. He lay curled up, the tears soaked into his scales and the moonlight was shining upon him. He slowly drifted to sleep as his eyes shut gently.
