Maby at the bit when Cynder gets nocked out by Gaul and Spyro is fighting him, she has a dream about something. You play in her dream for a little while until she wakes up.

What about you play as her when she was just a hatchling for a little while? It would be cute to play as her when she is about 3 years old for a short while. ^.^

The game title would probably be called The Legend of Cynder. Spyro's in it.
