I saw a preview at 1up.com and they explained the Wii version's mechanics.
"Each element -- earth, electricity, fire, and ice -- has a breath attack (C button) and an elemental attack (Z button). For example, when Spyro is using ice (you cycle through the elements with the Plus button on the Wii Remote), his breath attack launches a ball of ice at enemies, while his elemental attack forms a long sword of ice that he can swing around briefly.
Eternal Night's gameplay uses a mix of button presses and motion controls. Most of the frequently used actions, like your base and elemental attacks, are mapped to the button presses (though you can wave the Wii Remote left and right to execute base attacks as well), but knockups and tailspins activate when you pull the Wii Remote up or down while in the air, respectively. You start each elemental Fury move (a special area of effect attack that you'll only be able to use about two times a level due to its build-up meter) by pulling up on both the Wii Remote and Nunchuk."
Thoughts?
