"I don't know what happened..." Diasi muttered. "I didn't do anything!"

"hmmm, well first we have to figure out what this all is, is it decay? is it lethal? and what side effects does it bear." Darious looked around. "dont down play anything, in my experience its the most mundane of things to have the most profound effect on the eviroment around them.

Diasi nodded hesitantly in understanding.

"Yeah... Shall we find the village and see what damage there is?" I realise that my home is probably just a crater now...

"well there is some hope, you all are alive right? there could be more." Darius mind started going in circles "well there is a chance that someone with decay could pass it on, something kind of like a bacterial infection, as for what it seems if something of the such was of course the case that means it would have to be total body, at least as ive seen with the girl, she went invisible. I wonder what effect that has on her molecularly, is there cell damage? does light simply pass through? i must try to further understand what the base of this is, with what I can gather if light is shining straight throuh her than there must be more empty space between her cells and mollecules, or it could be that her cells are simply absorbing light at such a rate that we cannot see her, however that would render her a purely black color not a transparent form, thus it must be space, if so then this is basically the opposite of cancer, instead of a cell that does not stop growing, the cells simply do not grow... givin the circumstance that would give a life expectancy of seven years at most." The doctor was quiet for a long while, and even longer after his thought was over.

Diasi fingered her necklace subconsciously. "What's wrong?" she asked, noting the silence.

"You just blanked out" Maybe he has it too? No... Something would happen otherwise... "I tripped over when it happened... Could I do the same thing?"

Jekyll quickly snapped out of it. "hmm? oh sorry its nothing, just thinking, theories and what forth, nothing that I can confirm yet." his mind was buzzing but he felt a deep concern for the younger people he met, what could he do? and more importantly, what can he do?

Diasi shifted uneasily. "I get the feeling there's something you're not telling us..." she mumbled.

"its nothing to be worried about, until I can run some tests I cant say any of my theories are true, or even possible. whats happening to you... to any of you, could be anything. an example invisibility, three possibilities, one, you are willing the light around you to bend, in which case you need to concentrate on a task like that, but you have no control over it. two, you are absorbing light completely, however that would just make you look like a black void, or three, light is passing right through you, as in you are dispersing yourself, yet keep density to keep a physical form,"

Darius shifted his glasses up.

"this would mean however that you would have a vastly small amount of cells, bacteria, ect compared to the average human. it would also mean that if cellular growth continues you should be fine after about 7 years,"

He then shifted uncomfortably

"in any case, thats just a theory, and I cant confirm anything."

he thought to himself a bit, "dont make them panic, no idea what their powers could do if they panic. besides its true, nothing is confirmed."

"Okay then..." Diasi murmured. "I guess that makes sense." She looked around nervously.

I step back after what I heard, it's ridiculous, but then, I stepped through a tree
"What just happened?!"

Jekyll almost jumped, it was so odd to think about, but he just saw someone pass through a tree, this confirmed at least one of his theories, that they indeed had a vastly reduced cell count, yet still are able to keep viable form, but why?.... "are you ok? how do you feel?" ((sorry spaced on the fact that you tripped,)) jekyll went over to where they fell, he had to try to see what would happen, he reached down with a cotton gloved hand. "here let me help you up."

Diasi stared at the scene playing out before her.

"Uhh... I'm okay, apart from the fact that I just passed through I tree"
How did that happen?!

"How in the world?" I asked out loud. "Hang on, do I have that ability? You, person who stepped into a tree, how did you feel when you went through it?" I need answers, and need them now!

"Uhh... I dunno, it was kind of like my body expanded through the tree if that makes any sense?" Honestly I had no clue what happened

"huh, that could confirm at least one theory, interesting... how much control do you have over that, did you feel it start with the panic of falling, or perhaps it was instinctual when you began to hit the tree?"

"Instinctual I guess"
"Gives us more reason to look for the village!"

"indeed, you are all native, ill give you the map, you should have an easier time reading it than I, lets go forth." Darius was so excited, on a scientific level at the very least. he was also concerned, and a little fearful of his own safety, but none the less, forward was the only way to go.

I pick up the map and figure out that the village is north "North" worried at what we might find, I start walking north

Diasi followed reluctantly, a little worried about what she might find.

When we finally reached the village, or what was the village, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The village was gone, a giant crater in place of it. "I knew it was bad but I didn't think it'd be THIS bad!"

"my god, im so sorry..." Darius, or the aptly named Dr.Jekyll, kneeled at the edge of the crater and took samples of the soil and grass, well what was left. "While this is greatly unfortunate, this event has touched many lives, many loved ones were lost here... it is deeply upsetting." Darius looked at the crater, and his heart sank looking out and imaginining a little village, where people used to live, play, work... exist. and now, they either dont, or are scattered to the wind, in the wake of the decay.

I went up the side of the crater and noticed something... odd "uhh... Is it just me or is the crater expanding?" The crater was indeed slowly expanding

Diasi backed away from the edge. "What's going on?" she mumbled.

"bloody... everyone back away." Darius scrambled back trying to avoid falling in. he looked into the crater and tried to see what was happening to the soil around the crater. "damn, looks like whatever this is, is spreading, but for how long?"

I back away
This can't be happening, I must be still asleep
"Someone pinch me"

Diasi stared at the crater, immobilized by fear. What was happening to it? Could it affect her?

"get away from the crater, we dont know what this is, or how it will affect you..." Jekyll kept a distance but always within a few feet of the edge, he needed test samples, however when he tried to grab for soil, his metal tool rusted. "oh dear..."

Diasi took a few steps back, before turning and running.

I backed away quicker this time
"It's devouring everything!"

Darius took a fast turn and ran, "GET BACK!" were the only words that escaped him, they had to warn other villages, they had to stop this things spreading. "WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE"

Diasi was already running away as fast as she could, but her lungs burned and everything was blurring. The last thing she heard before collapsing was Darius' shout.

I nodded, taking all this information in, and I ran as fast as I could, following Diasi.

I ran as fast as possible
I shouted "How do we stop this?!"

"I HAVE NO IDEA!" Darius shouted as he ran, this thing was causing matter to be consumed, and decayed, theoretically an equal and opposite force would be needed, however, what or how the heck was that going to happen. there was no medicine for something like this, no chemical, no logical piece of fact or science. however... the kids, they had already shown that they had a lack of mollecular mass, connected with what this may be doing, and the town being their origin point, they may not be affected, as they have already felt the affect of it. whether they know that or not.

Diasi struggled to drag herself towards what little shelter she could find.

"The beggining explosion must of let some things get away" I say as I spot a spoon

"Well, that's random..." I mutter.

"I Dont think it will affect you lot!" Darius yelled, "How do you think you got this way, you already have been affected!"

"I guess it would affect you most!"
I pick up the spoon as it could be useful later
