Birthday Bash Pop Fizz Official Toy Image [CLOSED]

My local store has Birthday Bash Big Bubble Pop Fizz in the back room with a hold date of January 5. They did not have any other new figures in the back. So, no wave 2 combo packs, no Legendary Bone Bash Roller Brawl, and no Skymiibo combo packs. At least, not yet. They could always get shipments later on. It would be nice if someone who works for Toys R Us or someone who is in the know could give us some more information. I normally don't mind not having known release dates for the first few waves, but I hate it for the later waves because they are usually stocked more sporadically.

It looks like they either got a mis pose, or the figure is supposed to have its left arm raised slightly, where normal PoP Fizz does not.

Hate to say it, but they painted his entire hand green or yellow. His fingers are supposed to be blue. Major flub up here. I'm so distracted by it that I'll probably skip this. Typical lack of quality control.

It might be green/yellow plastic and they didn't paint the fingers. Kind of like how Giants Pop Fizz had gray nails and they dropped that detail in other games.

And the tuba is the same color as the fur. Don't say I didn't warn you guys :U

Seriously this is worse than regular. The glove is just sheer lack of effort.

That's the thing that gets me this year. Figures are about the size of a corelander, but cost $3 more. Why the premium? No lights or doodads, just a higher price. When they look back, they better seriously consider that in their future plans.

And just like that, I go from loving it to completely skipping this. Unless I see this clearanced, I will not support yet another overpriced lazy attempt at a variant.

Bubble maker the same color has his fur? Hands completely yellow and green over his fingers? Forget it. I they do not care about the product they release, why should I. Cannot wait for TFB to be back in charge again for the next game. They keep it fun and seem to release overall better products for their titles.

I'm still going to ask one thing though.

Whose birthday are we talking about? SSA was revealed in February. The fifth year of the franchise releases was last year in October. Pop Fizz was launch wave on Giants so his birthday is sorta October?

It's also 'Birthday',not 'anniversary', so it's someone in specific? The actual Birthday Bash was released in the birthdate of Lost Islands, even if you can get him at any time he's on the Wishing Well.

They probably made him for anyone's birthday gift in general. It's obvious a mom would pick the birthday skylander for their kid's birthday.

Picked up Birthday Bash Pop Fizz and Legendary Roller Brawl for my family and the only Stealth Stinger left on the pegs for my nephew (he just got into Skylanders this Christmas and this gives him two of each vehicle type). I took advantage of the 3 for $25 deal. Also, all of the paint jobs were great.

I picked mine up today. Looking at the figure, the single color gloves are actually painted, and not one solid pice of plastic. I would have preferred if it was one solid pice of plastic, because the paint on all the ones at my TRU sucked on the hand with the yellow glove.

Not impressed with this one but still picked him up along with Legendary Roller Brawl and a Jet Vac in order to get the buy 3 for $25 deal for Reward Members. Roller Brawl of course didn't scan as part of the deal but I made them honor it as the promotion does say "ALL SINGLE FIGURES"

At Toys R Us! 3 for $25 for Rewards members only was advertised in store alongside the 3 for $36 deal for everyone else. My store was Schaumburg IL

Overall looks lazy as usual but I have to admit the stars and dots look painted quite well.

EDIT: just saw the gameplay and the clown look...
They managed to make the in-game stars and dots look messier than the figure ones.
And they didn't even changed the icon appareance.

That's why I always skip variants, whether they are in-game or not, and why I'll always prefer the originals over the counterparts: that's where they put the real efforts in.
Everything else is just a matter of more money.

I'll pick this up in the future during a 50% off sale. It's like Missile Tow Dive Clops all over...hey, another variant just started hitting stores...a week or two of interest goes by and then it's just another variant warming the shelves.

Just got him. When you put him on the store portals to see his preview, it doesn't have stars on the tuba. Maybe they were a last minute addition
