I use the analog stick! But sometimes I do use the D-pad but only if theres a game you can only use the D-pad and not the analog stick, like e.g Digimon world 2003 you can only use the D-pad for that game.

I'm prefer using the D-pad, but sometimes I use the analog too.

i swiched off i used the d-pad then i played ape escape and used the anolog and got used to it then i swiched back to the d pad they both have there ups and downs i gess

I used the analog my whole life, but I remember needing to use the D-Pad for Crash Bandicoot 1, but at other times I remember finding that Analog works. Analogis the best.
