I understand it and that's a nice way to distinguish that TtL franchise from the others.

What annoys me is that Amiibos are generally considered to be "socially acceptable" while Skylanders are automatically "kids' toys".
I have a friend who often tells me "Skylanders are stupid kids' toys, buy Infinity instead".

Excuse me how is Infinity any different when it comes to toys...?
Oh yes, they are Disney characters so they are automatically more mature.

Same here. I might upload my wave one haul. Wont be very big. Like two figures a sea and a sky. As of now I have 62 Skylanders.

After making the trek through each of the 3 stores I always have to hit release day, I just go home and stare at my immense pile and cry a little about all the money I'm losing. Then I buck up and just move on and begin opening the game to try out the new characters.

Sounds good.
