Chapter 5: An Escape
"Dude! We gotta get outta here!" Gawain said. "I'm too hot to be burned at the stake!" Gwendolen groaned. "Instead of moaning to each other, why don't we plan, oh i dunno...AN ESCAPE!?" Gadzooks cried. He was so tired of those two griping. "Yeah, i got an idea!" Gawain said. He took a deep breath, then breathed fire to melt the bars! "Erm, why didn't you do that earlier?" Gadzooks questioned him. "Meh, just waiting for the signal," Gawain said. "Well,then, let's get outta here!" Gwendolen said. He spread his wings wide, then took off into the open air. Gawain and Gadzooks soon followed. Suddenly a fire arrow shot in front of Gawain's face! "AHHHHHHHHH!!!" he screamed. They swerved and twisted to avoid the guard's arrows. But then, Gadzooks was shot! He roared loudly and he crash landed...right in front of the dragon temple! Gwendolen and Gawain soon followed. They leaned over their fallen buddy, when three figures appeared in the Garden door...

Deanna and me : DU DU DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

*gasps* Now do you know who was at the door in the last chapter?

For the first day of her illness, Liz had beed fed on herbal infusions perscribed by Gwilanna and wafted into her nostrils by Gretel. Though her eyes had blinked open several times ( a dread ful sight to witness, for the whites were the grayest shades of death), she had still been far too tired to speak. But as the herbs began their work and Gretel's soothing dragonsong stirred her, she began to have more pronged wakeful periods, usually early- to mid- afternoon. During one of those times, she asked about Gwilan.
Zanna was there. Waiting. Ready.
"Where is he? I haven't seen him," Liz said.
Zanna picked up her hand. "He cried his first fire tear," she said. And there it was, done. Evenly and swiftly, the way Arthur had counseled her. No stalling. No sorrys. The hard plain truth. "He saw your body on the patio and thought you were dead."
Liz's face began to drift into agonized despair.
Lucy covered her mouth and ran from the room.
