"Do you mean... Golden Freddy?" I asked Gabe

"Oh, Golden Freddy? Erm, no, I meant an endoskeleton, but... Well, I've been working on him for a while. I've got every component in him set up like the others, but... well, I think he's trying to talk. Er, do you want me to go get him?"

"Yeah, I hope your dad will like me" I said

"I'm, well, not really sure how much of him is in there now, but, well, I'm sure he'd like you. Well, I'll be right back with him" the werewolf said, leaving the room. About a minute later, though, Fang and Gabe came back with the skeleton and the physical Golden Freddy, respectively. The golden animatronic, although fully equipped with eyes, still slouched on the floor, making a mumbling sound.

I looked at Golden Freddy "Hey... Mr. Frazbear sir, I'm Austin, I work for your son Gabe" I said as I looked Golden Freddy in the eyes

Golden Freddy lifted his head towards Austin, his gaze focusing on Austin completely. Since his speaker was pointed directly at the humans, his muttering became more audible, although no less distorted. "...V...E...T...H...E...M...S...A...V...E...T...H..."

Gabe frowned. "He keeps muttering those eight letters, over and over again, is it a code of some sort? Maybe the animatronic is stuck in a diagnostic mode or something."

"Wait... He's saying save them, but who are we saving?" I asked

"Well... with, well, my dad... he spent his last moments apprehending the killer, right?" he said looking at Golden Freddy more closely. "Maybe... maybe he's dreaming about that day." While the memory wasn't as vivid as it was when the ghost had forced Gabe to relive it from his own point of view, it was still burned into the back of his mind.

"His voice is garbled. Let me change his voicebox" I said

"Well, I'll get him opened up, so you can change it." Gabe said, starting to unhinge the chestplate.

Fang set down the spare endoskeleton, heading straight for the door. "Well, I'm gonna head out, you know, give the ol' bear his privacy. Just call if you need me."

"Okay, will do." Gabe said, as he lifted the chestpiece off. The mechanical pieces on the inside, although not as lustrous as the newer animatronics, were a lot cleaner than the other 'original' animatronics, for reasons Gabe didn't want to think about.

I looked at the machinery "He could use that stone you got, it might fix everything" I said before getting up, grabbing the stone, and then I put it in Golden Freddy "Sir... Is that better?"

"Is.. is that so?" Cleo whispered, looking up at Freddy with some hope in her eyes.

[Wolfgang, sorry if I'm foiling any of your plans, but...]

Freddy held Cleo "There's something else I need to tell you... I like you..." He admitted

(Actually, that fits in perfectly with my plans.)

Gabe looked in awe as the stone clicked perfectly into Golden Freddy's personality module, and lost its blue coloration, as it took on a more yellow hue. The animatronic's eyes suddenly became more active, as it helped itself to its feet.

"Mr. Frazbear... Can you say something?" I asked

This statement hit Cleo with the force of a speeding train. She wasn't ready for a confession like that. Petrified, she racked her mind for a response. While she had never truly felt any compassion for any other animatronics, let alone Freddy, she didn't want him to know that.

Conceal, don't feel, Cleo. Conceal, don't feel...

It was the mantra she used to keep herself from snapping at the children's antics during the day; wouldn't want a repeat of the Bite of '87, now would we? A deep, artificial breath, and she spoke in a calm, monotone voice. "I have a high regard for you as well, Mr. Fazbear" she said, choosing as neutral of a reply as she could muster.

The animatronic shook its head fluidly as it closed its eyes, as if waking from a long sleep. "Where... where am I, and w-who... are you?" he said, his eyes opening and focusing on Austin. His gaze wandered downward to his still-opened torso, and he jolted backward in shock, bumping into a shelf behind him.

"Oh! Sir, you've been gone a long time, but now you're in an animatron. We're at the restaurant you built" I said as I closed Golden Freddy's torso "I'm Austin, I work for your son Gabe, I know what happened that day too"

Freddy shows a sad look on his face "Oh... I'm sorry, I made things uncomfortable, I'm so sorry" He said

Gabe stepped forward into Golden Freddy's line of sight. "It's, erm, been a long time... dad." he said, blushing and awkwardly looking to the side. Golden Freddy's eyes lit up as he held his arms out, wanting to rush over and hug the strong adult his son had become, however, he fortunately had the foresight to notice his missing chestpiece, exposed wiring and gears. He put a large hand on the werewolf's shoulder, and gave a soft smile. "I wish I'd lived to see you like this with my own eyes, but... these ones'll do."

I put Golden Freddy's chestplate back on him "Now you can hug him" I said

Virtu and Isis were done working and headed over to Freddy's to see Foxy "Hi Foxy" Virtu said as she hugged him

"Oh, 'ello Virtu, and 'ello Isis!" Foxy exclaimed as he hugged Virtu. "So how're me favorite people doin' on this fine day?"

Golden Freddy slowly placed his arms around his son, and as he embraced his son, he decided to say the one thing he was certain his son would remember. "It's me," he uttered, "it's me."

Cleo expressed some concern, placing her hand on Freddy's shoulder. "Oh, no no no, it's quite alright" she reassured her leader. "Truth be told, I get quite lonely sometimes..."

[I'll get around to 'em eventually.]

"We're good Foxy" Virtu said "How's my favorite fox doing?"

Isis smiled "You two are always like this, its cute" She said

I smiled "This is heartwarming guys" I said

Freddy looked Cleo in her eyes "I promise you'll never be lonely again Cleo" He said

"I be farin' pretty well meself" Foxy said, shooting a dazzling smile to his two friends.

As Fredrick and Gabe broke their hug, Fredrick started to look around the room curiously. "I haven't been able to look at the building this clearly in the past twenty years... everything else was a hazy blur."

"Well, now you can, also I'm one of you too, Gabe made me into a werebeast, but I wanted it" I said

"That's great Foxy" Isis said
Virtu looked in Foxy's eyes "You're awesome Foxy" She said

Foxy chuckled, "Well, that really isn't too hard, especially when... ♪Everything be awesome! Everything's gnarly when you're part of a crew! Everything be awesome, when you're friends, through and through!♪"

Fredrick shot Gabe a serious look, just now realizing that he was in his lycanthrope form casually, and that he'd converted this human into one of his own kind. "I-is this true, son? He truly wished to be one of us? Has he kept the masquerade up?"

Gabe sighed in response. "Yes... he asked me specifically, and I even made him take time to think it over. As for the masquerade... it's gone. Humans know about our kind, and have sort of, well, coexisted for a few years. And this kid, well, I wouldn't hesitate to say that he's a part of the Fazbear family. He's noble, kind, and driven."

Fredrick turned towards Austin. "I'd like to know more about you, then."

Virtu giggled "Don't make me regret showing you the Lego Movie" She said jokingly

I blushed from embarrassment "I'm nobody special, really" I said

"That's not true" Gabe said to Austin. "You're one of the most promising engineers I know! You managed to fix up all of the old animatronics, you didn't mind when you found out I was a werewolf, heck, you helped re-unite the two of us! I mean, you're one of the greatest people I've met."

Fredrick's eyes seemed to light up with interest again. "An engineer, you say? Well, you've probably known this by now, but our animatronics were the first to use a Plume of Dusk in the personality core, creating the most lifelike characters on the planet."

"Yes, but after all of the problems people reported, I had to find a way to make them less violent, so I reversed the polarity of the Plume of Dusk, turning it into a Plume of Light!" I said "Also, thanks Gabe"

"A Plume of Light, eh?" Fredrick said, stroking the chin of his suit... "I saw a great light as I was waking up, I was drawn to it... could that be the reason...?"

"Arr, if I had a budget, I'd have seen it meself, anyways, and that Nick Offerman makes a fine pirate!"

"I guess so" I said

Virtu smiled "Anyway, what are you doing?" She asked

"Er, this might be a bad time" Gabe said, "but that endoskeleton has a bit of a low charge, so let's get you onto a charger, dad."

Foxy sighed. "Waiting for Freddy. He said he'd be back after talking to Cleo, and then we were gonna hit the town."

"You don't think Freddy likes her do you?" Isis asked

"I know!" I said before grabbing a battery pack and quickly put it in Frederick "There, unlimited energy, just like the others, when you sleep, it recharges"

"Oh, why thank you, boy!" Fredrick said to Austin, surprised he was that generous and quick-thinking. "So, has my son been doing a good job running the place?"

Gabe spoke up "Whoa, let's not get ahead of ourselves. The current owner is letting me make decisions to ease me into the position, sure, but I'm not actually completely in charge."

Foxy shrugged. "Well, with them, it's kinda hard to tell, but I can feel a bit of a spark between them."

"Aww" Isis said, she cared about Cleo and she was happy for her

"But you have done a great job Gabe" I said "Wait, why did you call me a Frazbear a few minutes ago?"

Gabe put one of his furry hands on Austin's shoulder. "Well, you've done so much for us, not just for the company and the animatronics, but for us personally, that, well, you know, I'd be proud to call you a part of the family."

"I don't know you very well, but I think you're a fine young man." Fredrick said, but he let out a sigh, as if something were on his mind.

Foxy's head drooped. "Well, I'm happy for them, but... well, Cleo doesn't really seem to like me. I've tried being even friendlier than normal, even, and she still doesn't."

"Not everyone will like you you Foxy" Isis said

"Thanks" I said "What's wrong?" I asked Frederick

[Jesus tap-dancing Christ, slow down! ]

This display of compassion from what she used to think was just another soulless automaton warmed what would be her heart. A tiny smile came to the feline princess's face- she's been working with this bear for so long and only now was getting to know him. "I appreciate your visit" she said, still trying to hide her emotions.

(I didn't know that was his middle name! )

Foxy sighed "Yarr, I know that, but... but I try so hard. I mean... a chance is all I be askin'."

Fredrick let out a synthesized sigh. "It's... all of it is starting to sink in. The years I lost, the family I left behind... and now that I'm not human, I'm... I'm not entirely certain I'll be able to leave this place."

"That's just it, you can! When the restaurant is closed or business is slow, you can leave" I said as I hugged Frederick

"Well, this won't be my last visit, if anything, its the first of many" Freddy said

Virtu hugged Foxy in a caring way "Its ok Foxy, I care about you" She said

Fredrick perked up at this. "So... I can live like a person, and get my old life back, as long as I work here?"

Foxy smiled. "I care about ye too, Virtu... I care about ye, too."

"Yes, you can stay with Gabe" I said

Virtu suddenly kissed Foxy

"Woah! Didn't see that a'comin!" Isis gasped

Foxy was stunned and exhilarated as Virtu kissed him, completely caught off guard, however, his expression was of shock, but of happiness. "V-Virtu..."

"Don't worry about it, Dad, I can just set up a cot at my place, and you can sleep on my bed." Gabe said, his tail wagging as he realized his role model, the person who helped sculpt him into the man he is today, would be living under the same roof again. "Well, we probably should show you around, you know, so you can see all of the new rooms here."

"That sounds like a splendid idea!" Fredrick replied.

"Yeah?" Virtu asked

"Great! What do you know about already?" I asked

"Well, there's the stage, the kitchen, the kids' cove, we had a prize counter for the games..." Fredrick continued, counting on his fingers, before he realized he had a less-than-human number of fingers. "...this will take some getting used to."

"Well, I really didn't, er, know ye felt this way about me, too. I mean, I've hoped for a while this be the case, but... this just feels, well, better than I thought it would."

"There's not much you don't know about then buddy" I told Frederick

"I'm glad you feel that way Foxy" Virtu said as she hugged Foxy in a loving way

"Aww" Was all Isis could muster

Isis could see a quick blur of white from around the corner, although it was uncertain if anything was there.

Isis silently walked over to where she saw the blur "H-hello?"

"I look forward to them" Cleo said, smiling sincerely. She still politely refused to leave her home, however.

Freddy smiled back "You're awesome Cleo, I hope you know that" He said before kissing Cleo on the cheek
