Barkis grinned, "Many." he said, "Just follow me."

"Ok?" I said

Barkis turned left and motioned him to follow.

"Well, the team's all here." Juliet deadpanned, before addressing Authea directly. "Let's hit the road. Your... friend doesn't seem to understand the concept of punctuality."

Pharate rolled his eyes, wings buzzing.

"Uhhuh." Authea grunted indistinctly. "So, now where? No one's interested in going against the Nightmare, Princess."

"There's a difference between uninterested and afraid, Miss Polaris. Everyone is terrified of going against Protocol. He knows when the rules are broken.

"Come closer." Juliet flicked her mane back, before her horn glew a brilliant violet. An illusion flickered into being around the kirin, disguising her as a paler, full-blooded unicorn with a similar appearance, and two unblinded eyes. "We should teleport, and soon."

I followed Barkis reluctantly

Barkis stopped at a shed door and opened it, "Enter sir." he said.

"Oh boy, this will be fun." Pharate stated sarcastically, following Juliet's example to disguise as one of his various invented personas; a pale green stallion with a scarlet and white mane, and a Cutie Mark of a bunch of holly. "Here's to hoping we find a psychotic sister, or something."

"Unlikely." Juliet replied cooly, waiting as the pair drew close enough. "The Nightmare caught them years ago. Just me and my younger brothers, really."

"And the Queen." Authea added.

"In theory."

Austin walked into the room "So, why am I here?" He asked

"You hold great potential to me, granted anypony else could, but you were the first pony I saw, so you'll do." he said.

"F-for what?" I asked, starting to get scared

OOC: Accepted, but should be younger (unless that's a typo... or something). The Queen herself didn't even exist that long ago (1550~), and she was the mare that revolutionised modern science. Even her father's prior advances with science wasn't so well sophisticated in those years.

"This." Barkis said, introducing him to Cyberia.

Austin looked at Cyberia "Hello" He said

Cyberia looked at Austin, but stayed silent.

"W-who are you?" Austin asked Cyberia in a scared tone

Cyberia kept staring at him.

Austin looked at Barkis "Why is your friend not speaking?" He asked

"He doesn't talk, he is to be seen not heard." Barkis said, approaching a covered object.

"That's so sad" Austin said as he hugged Cyberia "Even a monster like me knows when something is incredibly sad"

Cyberia looked at Austin and slowly looked back at Barkis.

Fury turned to Storm.
"Uh... yes. Burned. It wasn't a dragon, though." A tear ran down his white markings and onto the gravelly trail. He sniffed strongly and continued to speak.
"It says Axis Shades, and it lists information on them, whoever they are. The page on location is in fact wrong, it lead to 3 different areas, one of which was a Chimera cavern, the other filled with traps, and the last a dead end. Looked like and old mine." He inhaled, then continued his banter. "There seemingly was a fourth location, but it's burned beyond comprehension." Fury lifted the book to Storm's eye level.

"Any possibility that there is a copy of this book?" Storm asked.

"Not sure, I'd never thought of it before. I'm sure one of the Axis Shade guys had a copy... but they ran off after they finished the job." Fury didn't realize what he was saying, but continued on. "Although, that was around 10 or so years ago... they're surely dead." He paced back and forth, kicking up dust and dirt.

Austin looked at Barkis "What's under the sheet?" He asked

Barkis grinned and pulled the hood off, revealing some kind of machine, "This, dear boy, is something I have been wanting to try." he said.

"What is it?" Austin asked as he looked at the machine

"It is a powerful device that when somepony gets inside, it clones them. The clone is stronger, smarter, and an opposite of who was cloned." Barkis explained.

"That sounds bad sir, what if a somepony nice went in there? There'd be an evil clone!" Austin said

Barkis grinned, the smile looked like it could churn stomachs, "Exactly." he stated.

"I'm not going in there!" Austin said as he went for the door slowly, he then tried to open the door "I'm just going to leave and spend the rest of my life underground" He said as he left the building

Cyberia tackled Austin and pinned him down while Barkis chuckled, "No, we need you." he said.

"If you want to test it, why not test on yourself?" Austin asked as he struggled to get out of Cyberia's clutches

Austin silently cried as he was being dragged

Cyberia nodded, and put him inside.

Austin curled up on the cloner's floor and kept crying "I knew nobody liked me" He said

"Relax yourself...darn it!" Barkis exclaimed.

"Isn't it obvious? I thought you were trying to be my friend, but you were just using me" Austin said

Fury turned to the commotion.
"What in the-" He stared at the shed, sheathing the book.
"Oh for Celestia's sake." He flew to the shed silently, wings still weak from the flight.
Fury growled loudly and lowly at the door, hoping to distract whoever was inside.
He growled louder and scraped his hooves at the ground, hissing as well.
Chimera act. He smirked. Never fails... I hope.

"The machine isn't working?!" Barkis asked in realization.

Austin looked at Barkis with a sorrowful feeling "I guess you're going to kill me now to keep this secret" He said
