"I... I don't know," Space Saver said. "He doesn't seem dangerous, but I am unfamiliar with this creature. I wonder if there is anyone who knows more about these creatures. ...Maybe we should look around for someone who knows more."

"I'm not sure of anything yet, but he hasn't made any aggressive moves so far." the werewolf said, looking at the Monstar with curiosity. "He is a cute little fella, though."

OOC: @Wolfgang Should we just do a 1on1? Cause I feel like I have to keep reminding everyone else to RP or else they never do.

(I will leave that decision entirely up to you.)

OOC: I'll think about it.

"He is kind of cute," Space Saver said. "Maybe we should take him to a library, someone there might know more."

Speaking of which, in the town they were currently in, there was a strange human walking into the Library. As he did, a large frog-like creature at the desk immediately yelled at him. "Lighthand, you are late again!" the creature said. "Sorry, I forgot to set my alarm clock so I woke up late." The frog creature seemed very angry. "Yeah, well this is your last chance Lighthand," the creature said. "If you are late for one more day, you are fired. Now get to organizing those books!"

Lighthand immediately went down a corridor of books and started to shuffle the books around, trying to organize them so that they were in the correct order.

"Hmm, I think that the closest library is the Great Library in the Academy." Bite Fright said, as images of the library and its immense number of books filled his head. "The last time I was there, I was asked to leave because of the loud clanging of my armor, but I'm, well, not entirely sure it fits anymore anyways." he said, with a sigh. His expression became less somber as he turned to face the Monstar, and put his hands on his knees to bring his lupine head lower to the creature. "Would you mind coming with us?"

The Monstar jumped up and down. Apparently he was interested in going with. "Okay that settles it," Space Saver said. "We're going to the library."

Eventually they got to the Library and started to look around for someone with knowledge on the Monstars. Lighthand was organizing his shelves, but saw the Monstar and immediately walked over to the group. "Oh, hello. Are you lost?" Lighthand asked the Monstar.

Bite Fright was, by this point, wearing the blanket that Ignitor had handed him earlier like a cloak, trying to hide his fearsome appearance and not draw attention to himself, however, he did speak up in his growly voice. "I found him by the Academy training grounds about half an hour ago. He was speaking in a foreign tongue, but he didn't sound, well, bad."

Lighthand thought nothing of his voice. "Ah yes, the aliens that have been appearing as of late. Archmeng *cough hack cough* I suppose they are looking for the Lunar Beast and the fabled Land Eater. But they should not be hard to find. Land Eater has been encased in a dark black and red orb, while the Lunar Beast is encased in his natural yellow and blue colors."

OOC: Bump.

"So, is there any way we'd be able to tell which of the two he seeks?" Bite Fright inquired, looking curiously at the Monstar

"Hmmmmm..." Lighthand placed his hand on the creature's head, maybe as a way to read its mind. "Yes, he is looking for the Lunar Beast." The Monstar started to wave its arms around and started to mumble in its own tongue. "He said he wants us to collect yellow and blue orb. ...And he's also saying that they may still be where the battle ended."

"Hey, would you know where that battle took place, little one?" Bite Fright asked, his tail wagging slightly as he spoke. If there were any chance to prove that he isn't a monster, he thought, this would it. Helping a creature in need, resurrecting a force of good, that would be enough to redeem himself.

"The monstar is probably new to Skylands, so I doubt he knows where it is," Lighthand said. "But I do. I know where it is. The battle took place in the shattered Archipelago, a giant chain of skylands that's just across from the Stabol Forest."

Space Saver seemed happy with Lighthand right now. "That doesn't sound too hard," Space Saver said. Maybe we should go now." Before they left, Lighthand stopped them. "Wait, you might need a guide," Lighthand said. "Care if I come with you?"

"It would be splendid if you'd join us on our journey" Bite Fright said to Lighthand. "I don't know a whole lot about those regions, so the assistance would be much appreciated."

"No you will NOT be leaving on the job?" the frog creature yelled. Lighthand shook his head. "Job? What job? I quit," Lighthand said before leaving.

Eventually, Lighthand lead the group to the forest with Space Saver, Bite Fright and the Monstar trailing behind. "Okay, one thing I should mention is that there are bandits in these woods. If we want to make it out alive, maybe we should prepare. I'm going to scout ahead to see if there is any danger. You guys seem a bit... more bulky and less agile so maybe you should stay here while I scout."

Bite Fright nodded, his face obscured by the large cloak he'd purchased before leaving. "Sounds like a good plan."

"Okay," Light hand said as he started to levitate. On Skylands, levitation was no big deal since lots of creatures could do it. Lighthand then went deep into the forest as quietly as he could, until eventually he was out of sight.

"Huh, I wonder how long this will take," Space Saver said.

Just then, someone appeared from the woods. The woods were forked and had two paths going through it. The path Lighthand did not take, another creature came through. It seemed to be a Mabu, one of the same variant as Hugo, except he didn't look friendly. He was also looking for someone.

"Where is that stupid human!?" he shouted. "I could have swore I sensed his presence here? And who are you two?" The large-clawed Mabu started to come towards the group.

Bite Fright sniffed at the air, perplexed at how Lighthand's strong scent still lingered strong enough to mask the scent of this... intruder. At any rate, he wasn't really used to using his nose this precisely, so he wasn't ready to trust it anyways. "We're the Skylanders, and what exactly do you want with Lighthand?" He put his hand onto the hilt of the sword he had sheathed behind his back, but didn't draw it quite yet.

"He wants to resurrect the lunar creature, but I wish to stop him," the Mabu said. "The name is Grimclaw, and my search for power will not go unsatisfied without the power of the Land Eater, and Lighthand wishes to stop me."

Bite Fright looked to Space Saver, before turning his gaze towards Grimclaw again, drawing his sword. "He is not the only one who wishes to stop you, if those are your intentions."

"Do you wish to fight me?" Grimclaw asked.

"No," Space Saver said. "But WE do."

Grimclaw laughed at both of them. "I feel not but piteous for you. You have no idea of who I am or what I am capable of. If you really wanted to defy lord Archmeng and his wishes, then I will have no problem destroying you less you tell me where Lighthand is."

"My senses are a bit on the fritz, so I couldn't even tell you if I wanted to." Bite Fright snapped defiantly at this stranger.

"Then tell me where Lighthand went, and you're free," Grimclaw said.

"I don't fear you!" Space Saver shouted as he fired off a strong beam from his blinking light straight at Grimclaw. But Grimclaw held his claw out and right before Space Saver's eyes, the beam warped right in his claw's shadow and then went straight after Bite Fright. Normally, Space Saver could summon a shield to protect himself and his friends, but only if he actually EXPECTS something like that to happen. He wouldn't have the reaction time to do it.

Bite Fright threw himself to the side to avoid being hit, tumbling on the ground. It took him a second to pull himself to his feet, but his recovery was surprisingly graceful.

"NOW do you fear me?" Grimclaw asked confidently. Grimclaw then held his hands out and started to shoot snaking pulse blasts at both Space Saver and Bite Fright. But these shots were slow enough that Space Saver COULD run in front of Bite Fright and use his space shield to shield the blasts for Bite Fright. ...But some of the shots were snaking around him.

"I don't know if I can block all of them," Space Saver said.

As Bite Fright stood behind the shield, he felt a sort of darkness, no... rage was more like it... building up through his body. He inhaled deeply, and leapt upward to just above the shield before he let loose a destructive howl towards the area Grimclaw stood, the wide area of effect hard to dodge.

OOC: ...So... what is that attack supposed to do?

(It's more of a low-damage, crowd control type of attack, Grimclaw can probably shrug it off easily.)

OOC: Holy cow didn't relize she replied. Sorry. Is it still a one person thing?

Grimclaw slid back from the attack, but was able to survive it easily.

"Oh gee, is that your best?" Grimclaw asked as he then summoned a strange ring before throwing it at Space Saver. Space Saver as usual tried to block it with his shield. ...But the ring surrounded Space Saver and dissipated his shield and then proceeded to constrict him.

"Ack! What is this magic?" Space Saver asked.

"Ha! Looks like that space shield doesn't protect against everything," Grimclaw said.

(OOC: You can try to come back if you want, but you have to promise you will be semi-diligent in the RP. I'm kind of worried you'll vanish again.)

Bite Fright shook his head, in an attempt to clear his head, but when he looked up he saw Space Saver dealing with a constricting ring. He rushed over, and tried his best to pry open the ring without hurting Space Saver.

"No! Don't touch it!" Space Saver said. The magic constricting him was a force field that hurt the one constricted and anyone who touched it. But it was fortunately temporary. "You have to fight him yourself till the spell wears off."

Bite Fright pulled his hand back at Space Saver's warning, and turned towards Grimclaw. He figured he had two options, to continue fighting and risk Space Saver's life, or to end the fight as quickly as he could, and stop Grimclaw at a later time, when the two were more prepared.

"There are no answers for you here. Now leave me and my friend alone, dark one."

"Oh really?" Grimclaw asked. "You're lying! I know you are! Tell me where Lighthand is or you will die!"

"He went off into the woods, but besides that, he didn't tell us where he was headed." Bite Fright explained, trying to remain vague enough to keep Grimclaw off his tail.

"And which way did he go?" Grimclaw asked, STILL interrogating Wolfgang.

"Ummm! He went that way!" Space Saver, pointing his beak in a random location in the woods.

"Very well," Grimclaw said. "You'll live for today. Now I must track that Lighthand down."

Eventually, Grimclaw re-entered the woods, ready to find his arch nemesis. But only a minute after he did, Lighthand came out the other entrance of the woods.

"It looks like the coast is clear," Lighthand said to the group before he saw Space Saver. "Oh dear, what happened to you?"

"Well, we met a wonderful gentleman who claimed to be your arch nemesis and attacked us. Does the name Grimclaw ring a bell?" Bite Fright said, the words 'wonderful gentleman' absolutely dripping with sarcasm.

Repeat.

"Sure." I replied to Cynder. I was in starting position.

OOC: You might have to find Space Saver and Bite Fright.

"Grimclaw! Oh no he's a bad dude," Lighthand said. Still, you survived an encounter with him, so that is good. Anyway, we should go through the forest and find the... errr, I forgot, where were we going again?"

Ooc: Ask Storm if shes still in.

"We were helping this little monstar find the, what was it, Lunar Beast?" he said, gesturing towards the Monstar that had, thankfully, slipped beneath Grimclaw's notice. "He was powerful, though, too powerful for us to handle, so we should stick together. Power in numbers and whatnot."

"Yes, that is a very good idea," Lightclaw asked. "Ah, now I remember, the Shattered Archipelago. It's just across this forest. Well, shall we?"

Eventually, the spell on Space Saver wore off and they were on their way. ...But they were also being watched.

From a tall tower in the region, there stood another Monstar looking through a telescope at their current location. He seemed to be smiling to himself.

"Ha!" The Monstar Archmeng laughed. "Those fools don't know it, but they are about to aid in my plans to finish what I started years ago. This planet is amazing, and I intend to make it MINE after my numerous failed attempts to take over my home planet Beastland were thwarted by that STUPID fat glowing monster! But I will make sure that fat glowing monster will never see the light of day ever again. The Land Eater will be resurrected, and I and he will rule! Grimclaw can be my prince if I decide to let him live. ...Well I might as well since I promised him power if he helped. I would hate to have another enemy on my hand. ...But HA! Once he resurrects Land Eater, I won't need to grant him power anymore. AHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!"

(You want something to happen in the forest?)

The werewolf gave an affirmative nod towards his ally. "Keep a look out, there could be all kinds of creatures in these woods."

OOC: I don't get Five Nights at Freddies? Can't a game have a nice human antagonist and maybe an animal protagonist for once? ...I wonder if that's why I like Skylanders so much.

"Well we already fought Grimclaw," Lighthand said. "Well you guys did anyway. I cannot imagine anything could be worse. ...Except the Land Eater."

"You never heard of Kaos I take it," Space Saver mentioned.

"Kaos? He's a joke," Lighthand stated.

Bite Fright let out a hearty laugh. "The only time that Kaos actually seems threatening is when he piggybacks on another villain's schemes. Now the Doom Raiders, they're a force to be reckoned with. I've heard two of them were recently given parole for good behavior." He was unable to hide the disgust in his voice, as he growled out the last part of the sentence. "Chompy Mage, and... I don't think I heard the other one."

"Say, does anyone remember the time Thumpback saved Skylands from Pirates of the Phantom Tide?" Space Saver asked.

"Wasn't Thumpback himself part of the Phantom Tide?" Lighthand asked.

"Yeah," Space Saver confirmed.

"Anyway, we should be there close," Lighthand mentioned. "I hope the orbs are still there."
