Ember's eyes flicked back to Jason's. Why does he want to know so much? It's creeping me out! "Er, well, we'll just be going back to the town now," she said. Ember, half-dragging Erianna, headed deeper into Valencia.

"Hey wait!" He said, calling after the two. "I was just gonna start a fire." He said, shivering from the cold. "Maybe I should go to the village as well." He said, racing towards the village.

"Don't flatter her because she's right there" He said, slowly getting up to stand. He dusted himself off, well, snowed himself off you could say, and began to walk away. He raised one hand to his side and turned his head. "Catch yeah later" he said as he walked away. He seemed to have very bad luck, as he happen to step on a large sheet of ice, slipping, and falling backwards. "GOD ****ING DAMN" he screamed.

"A...fire?" Ember stopped and turned to Jason, a little curious. Does he have Fire powers too? ...Nah, who am I kidding? The only people I know with powers are myself and Erianna...a fire does sound nice, though. Maybe I'll see what he's up to. "How would you do that?"

Jason nodded, rubbing his hands together, summoning a little electricity in them. The friction and electricity began to make his hands warm. He stopped. "Now, don't be freaked out..." He said, beginning again, using some electricity to make a small spark come from his hands. He then blew some twigs that had been blown of a tree towards him, and touched the twigs, instantly setting them ablaze. "Now, I'm gonna go get more wood so it won't go out." He said, getting up.

"Find," said Red, "let me be more descriptive, the girl with the powers of ice, I need to find her at once," as talked he pushed the blade down, "I'm hired to find and assassinate this girl, got it memorized?"

As soon as Dante saw the guy slip and fall on the ice, he just felt like he needed to go over and help. He walked over to him, shivering a little however. "A-Are you ok...?"

Ember gaped at the man as he walked away. Electric powers? And he wasn't even afraid to use them! While he was gone, Ember turned to Erianna. "Did you see that?" she whispered, glancing around to make sure nobody was watching. "He has powers, too. Should we tell him about us or not, do you think?"

"I agree with you," Ember said. "For now, we must have faith in the fact that he apparently doesn't know us at all."

Jason had created a sword out of electricity, when he was out of the eyesight of the girls, and had cut down a tree. He was currently cutting it up into logs. "Damn, why is it so f-****ing cold?!" He whispered under his breath, burning striking one of the logs right now, for warmth. He then realized something. "****." He said, his heart beginning to beat faster. "They saw me use my powers." He said, freaking put a bit. "Okay, just....calm down." He told himself. "I just won't show any more of my powers." He said, levitating the logs behind him. "Until I'm almost back to them." He said, walking back towards the girls, keeping the burning lot away from the others.

"Yeah." Ember nodded in agreement. "And what's with the...uh...electricity abilities? How's you come across acquiring those?"

Hoshi looked over to Seiki and Shiori and nodded while remaining behind Red.
"Sorry, don't know anything about that. None of us here have ice powers." She lied. She knew there was some girl held up in the castle which is what caused this, though her getting killed wasn't part of the plan as far as she knew.

((Whoops, speaking of which, I need to update Jason's sheet with my new and improved version.))

Jason sighed as he realized he forgot to stop his powers as he walked back into the clearing. "Well....um....you see..." He trailed off, trying to figure out what to say. "I'm inviting you to a fore because it's cold outside, and how I got my powers is a long story." He said, tossing some more logs into the fire, and putting three logs around the fire. "Sit down if you're willing to listen." He said, rubbing his hands together for warmth.

Red walked up to the group, "May I assist you all on this quest?" he asked

Ember shot a questionable glance at Erianna, but the flame distracted her. Being a welder of some flame abilities, it felt extremely good to her. Sighing, she brushed off one of the logs and sat down. The fire was just what she needed. The flame cast a strange light into her eyes and face as she stared at Jason. It flickered around, accenting the thinness of her face and making her look weaker and younger than she actually was.

Gryffin groaned, but sat up enough to nod at the guy. He rubbed the back of his head. "Hurt like a ***** though..." he muttered. He overheard a boy and the girl who had her tool pointed at him talking about a girl with ice powers. He noted they were probably talking about Glacia, a small girl that lived alone in this village. Gryffin had been friends with her to an extent, giving her food and caring for her at points in time. She had powerful ice abilities, but had trouble controlling them. She was doing good, but when he visited one day, she was gone. Next thing he knew, the land was frozen over and a young girl that could manipulate ice was being held captive by a group of bandits.

Pain relief from a fall was a rather easy cure, so Dante concentrated and tried to relieve the pain that Gryffin felt with a little healing magic. "...You have any idea what caused the winter so early...?"

"Uhhhh, what quest?" Shiori asked in reponse to Red.
"We only said we didn't know anything about her, nothing about any quest." Hoshi added.

"To find the girl," said Red, "the one who caused this winter, and if you doubt me..." He then demonstrated his pyrokinesis as he tossed a ball of fire as pound of snow melting it.

"Who said we were trying to find her?" Shiori was still somewhat confused by the man.
"Even then, we wouldn't help you kill her." Seiki added.

"Kill her? That's only a last result," said Red, "You know, I'd just do that sort of thing only in self-defense..."

Gryffin froze up when the boy spoke. "um, not at all" he answered quickly.

"Oh, I see..." Dante replied, "I'm Dante by the way.." He then added, "Hopefully we can figure out what did this, and put a stop to it or at least try to reverse the cold weather..."

Jason nodded in thanks as he caught the bread and took a bite out of it. "Thank you." He said after he had finished chewing. "Well....may as well begin." He said. "As a young child, I had a really fancy house, but it gone destroyed one day by a tornado. From that day on I was fascinated by tornados, and any storm for that matter. I became, as I liked to call myself, a storm chaser. I chased after storms, studying them. Then, one day, I was chasing an electrical tornado. I was fascinated by it, and I got a little too close. It sucked me up, and flew me around in it, getting myself electrocuted like hell. Surprisingly, I didn't die, and I was just flung out about a mile away, surrounded by an electrical aura. After a bit of testing, I discovered I had aerokinesis and electrokinesis." He finished. "That's how." He said, taking another bite out of his bread.

"You just said you were going to assassinate her! Which is it? You were hired to kill her or it's last resort?" Hoshi was getting frustrated at the man as his story seemed to be changing each time he opened his mouth.

Ember took a bite of her bread and nodded slowly. "That's...interesting. I didn't know that natural disasters could give people powers." The fire emitted a loud crackle and Ember smiled slightly. She turned to Erianna and gave her a look that said Well? How much do we spill?

Jason just nodded. "It wasn't an ordinary storm though." He said, raising an eyebrow as he saw Ember look at Erianna.

"Gryffin" he replied, "Just call me Gryf." He looked towards the rock arch that lead into the village. Even through the harsh blizzard outside, he could see a figure standing a top it. Squinting, he could only make out that they were were a hooden cape. More snow passed by, and when it cleared, they figure was gone. He frowned, quickly standing and walking towards the arch.

Leon was trudging though the snow, shivering as he kept his eyes forward "Gotta.. keep.. moving." He was exhausted, he'd been walking for a while now in this blizzard, and his body was starting to fail him. He leant against the tree for a second, he squinted as he looked out and saw light, a fire, he smiled gently as he kept on walking towards the light, he could just make out the figure of people, he put his hand on the handle of his sword and kept it there "Never hurt to be too safe." He thought to himself.

Dante didnt get to see what Gryffin had saw, but he decided to follow anyways.

Ember's spine stiffened as she heard someone behind them. She slowly turned around, hoping it wasn't anything or anyone dangerous. She groaned inwardly as she realized it was another person. He was tall and pale with long, shaggy black hair. She blinked the longer she looked at him. Please don't hurt us...

Leon stared at Ember as he continued to walk slowly towards the fire, as everything got clearer, he could see the people there and how Ember was scared of him, he smiled weakly at Ember "Dont worry.. I wont hurt you, I just need to rest for a while.." He groaned as he continued to walk closer and closer.

Jason looked as well in the direction of the boy walking towards them. He stood up, in hopes of scaring the person. "Who are you? What do you want?"" He asked, covering his hands electricity, just in case.

Name: Arcadia Zuleika
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Power: Shadow manipulation, including shrouding herself as to appear silhouette-like. Becomes effectively invisible in complete darkness, but her powers have little offensive effectiveness, apart from creating shadowy clones of both herself and others that are vulnerable to any kind of light, even torchlight, and will dissipate after a hit.
Can also silence her own footsteps.
Personality: Quite shy, and rarely speaks to strangers. Defensive, and will not attack unless cornered, fleeing whenever she can. Flighty and nervous around people, much preferring the company of animals. Can be unintentially cold at times, and strives to be as emotionally distant to others as she can. Self-righteous, and firmly believes in justice and hope. Once one gets to really know her, she is kind and incredibly protective, and wishes more than anything to have a friend, but her own crippling fears of being hurt prevents her from trying to get close to anyone. Self-conscious of her appearance.
Appearance: Waist length black hair, which goes slightly wavy near the tips. Light grey eyes. Pale skin, almost white, with a multitude scars across her back, and one under her left eye. Quite small for her age, and incredibly thin, but not unhealthily so.
Wears a flowing, strapless white shirt which goes down to her mid thighs, with mid-grey leggings. Usually wears simple black shoes (like those laceless vans or whatever they're called), and ankle-length white socks. Because of the cold weather, she is garbed in a thick, hooded black cloak.
Due to her powers and her shy nature, she is usually seen as completely black with glowing white eyes (think of Limbo's art style).
History: As a young girl, she was constantly physically and emotionally abused by the corrupt church she belonged to, leaving her in constant fear of speaking out or showing emotion, and terrified of calling for help should it make it worse. During a particularly brutal beating when she nine, Arcadia finally snapped, discovering her powers and summoning her snake-like minions, killing her tormentors and destroying the accursed building. She hasn't displayed that level of power since then, but has made an attempt to hone her dark abilities.
Weapons: Katana
Other: When very scared, threatened, or emotionally crippled, she can inadvertantly summon snake-like shadows that are far stronger than her usual apparitions, that will protect and defend their weak mistress at all costs.

Jason turned to look at Erianna. "Jason. Jason Grace." He whispered, turning to look at the newcomer. "I said, who are you?!" He asked, louder this time.

A light rustling came from the trees near the campfire as Kai stepped forward to see the small group gathered around the small flame. He looked them over with his lightly glowing golden eyes, strange for the usual blue they normally were. Kai reached into his cloak and drew his katana, quickly flicking it to the side once it left its sheath. His eyes narrowed as he readied his attack.

Arcadia perched on a fallen log under a tree, quite a ways off from the other group that only the faintest of echoes could be gleaned, trying to keep her small fire alight. Despite the small glow the flames were giving off, the figure remained entirely shrouded in black, barring the tired squint of solid white eyes.

The teenager shuddered, drawing in closer to the flames. Arcadia was used to the cold, treating it almost like an old friend... But what friend would do this to anyone? To everyone? She shook her head, stifling a sharp cry.

Kai didn't speak, merely turning to look at Erianna. He clearly heard her words, though it was as if he didn't understand them. The look in his eyes seemed rather blank and lifeless. He glided his sword out to the side and twirled it around in the air. Some of the fallen snow swirled about, following the movement of the katana. Water became extracted from the snow, into a pure, blue liquid form.

Kai used his katana as a conductor's wand, directing the flow of the water. He spun it a few times above his head then snapped it down, the water forming into a long tendrill as it smacked into the ground. However, the water didn't absorb back into the snow upon contact, rather act as if it were solid and slap the ground.

He snapped his water-whip once more with a loud crack as it hit close to Erianna's feet. He continued his stare at her with a blank look.

"Dont worry, seriosuly, I'm not here to hurt you, just to be here, My name is Le- I mean.. Midnight.. What about you people?" He began to loosen the grip on his sword, and continued to walk closer top the group.

(Riku, I think they're all cringing from someone because Kai is attacking the people near the campfire.)

"Aah!" Ember jumped as the water-whip got close to her friend. Whoever that is is asking for it! She put her hands close together, and dark mist manifested around them. That water is not normal. Someone has elemental powers. I think it's fine to give them a taste of mine. The dark mist took solid form as a sword, and Ember grabbed it and waved it forward experimentally. Wherever she moved the sword, darkness was trailed behind, almost like a shadow flame.

Kai stared straight back at Erianna. His control of the water whip was released, letting it collapse and absorb back into the snow. In one swift motion he slashed Erianna across her torso then plunged it forward, jabbing it into her right thigh.
