Shadow tried to get out of the Snaggleclaws grip.

Shana burned the Snaggleclaw's legs so it released Shadow.

Shadow quickly got away from the snaggleclaw.

The Snaggleclaw shook Shana off and smashed her, causing her to cry out.

Shadow lunged at the Snaggleclaw .

The Snaggleclaw leapt at Shadow.

Dark finished off the last Snaggleclaw.

Shadow tried to dodge the snaggleclaw.

Shana used her flame to take out the Snaggleclaw. She then collapsed.

Shadow staggered over to Shana "Oh no!" He said.

Shana sighed and raised a hand feebly.
"Don't. I'm cooling down." she said.

"Fine" Shadow said.

There were quite a few gashes on Shana's legs and arms from the battle.

Dark walked forward and heaved his cousin to her feet, wincing at the heat.
"Let's head back and report to Kenshi. I'll take my cousin to Feather, because I'm a bit more accustomed to her cool downs." He said.

"Alright..." Shadow grumbled

"What, do you want to help her?" asked Dark.

"No you can do it if you want to" Shadow said heading back to HQ.

Dark cocked his head but helped Shana back to the HQ.

"Wait up!" called Sango, running up to Shadow.

"What is it?" Shadow asked slightly annoyed.

Sango was taken by surprise at Shadow's harsh tone.
"Just wanted to walk back with you and chat. That so bad?" she asked.

Brutus saw the group walking back. Shana looked to be injured. Brutus shook his head in disappointment.

"No I guess." Shadow grumbled.

Dark walked by Brutus.
"Shana was fighting three Snaggleclaws and two Scarfires until we came to help. She's pretty badly injured. Can you get Feather?" he asked.

Shadow closed his eyes then quickly opened them back up.

"Sure thing." Brutus said, nodding. He went to get Feather. When he found her, he told her of Shana. "Hey, Shana needs some help. She's been scratched up pretty bad. Dark's with her right now." Brutus said to inform Feather.

Feather sighed.
"Not again." she said, shaking her head. "Bring me to her."

Sango nodded.
"That's what I thought." she said. She could be quite stubborn.

"So..." Shadow's voice drifted off.

Brutus lead Feather to were Dark and Shana were.

"So what? Something upsetting you? You sounded annoyed when I just wanted to walk with you." said Sango.

Feather looked at Shana's wounds and sighed.
"You injure yourself too much." she said. She then turned to Brutus. "You look tired. Have you been getting enough sleep?"

"Nothing really..." Shadow said.

"Sure doesn't seem like nothing." said Sango, sweeping her long brown hair out of her face.

"It's nothing" Shadow said in a gruff tone

"Of course I have." Brutus said, in complete denial of everything that happened earlier.

Sango sighed, not wanting to pester Shadow anymore.

Feather shook her head.
"No you aren't. You can't lie to me." she said.

Shadow started to walk a little faster.

Sango dropped back a bit to walk by her lonesome.

Shadow reached HQ and went straight to his bed.

Sango headed into the training room.

Shadow sat there for a awhile but got up and started to walk around his bed.

Feather cast a healing spell on Shana and Dark carried Shana to her bed.

Shadow went to check on Shana.

Dark walked down the hall to look for Sango.

Shana saw Shadow walk in.
"Hey. You don't usually come here on your own accord. Why come now?" she asked, confused.

"To check on you, I have a heart you know?" Shadow said

Shana smiled.
"I know you do, I was just kidding. You sound upset. Something on your mind? You can tell me. I'm probably the only one around here that can keep a secret." she said.

"I have no secerets...."Shadow grumbled.

"Then why are you so grumpy. Don't think I didn't hear you snap at Sango." said Shana.

"i'm not grumpy" Shadow snapped.

Brutus grinned. "I can try at least."

Feather smiled.
"You can try, but it won't work." she said.

Shana raised her hands to show obviousness.
"See? You even snapped at me!" she exclaimed.

"Well I usually never lie, so when I try to, I fail completely." Brutus said, chuckling.

"GAH!!!" Shadow shouted as he quickly walked back to his room.

Feather smiled again.
"Oh, Dark lies all the time." she said.

Shana laughed.
"He's too easily annoyed." she said.
