Noticing the others, Pablo stopped.

Kona came over. "OH WOW A HIPPO" She said.

"Um, I don't really-"
He slapped the pad of his hand to his "forehead" in exasperation.
"How could I have forgotten?!" he scorned himself. "Sorry to leave so soon, but I gotta go!"
Without another word, he urgently(but still rather slowly, as velvet worms are rather sluggish in movement) made a dash for the trees and disappeared.

Skaliscin was startled when she looked up to see a huge cat instead of the tiny weasel-like creature. She was extremely startled when Sybil stepped on her back, giving her the impression of crushing ribs, and very bad memories. Instinctively, the serpent hissed fiercely and, like a viper, sunk her needle-like teeth in the civet's shin.

It was too late to avoid the bite. Sybil didn't listen to that previous conversation nor realized that Siberian Tiger was harmless. She was too busy shaking her leg too rapidly to get Skaliscin off her leg. Just like the snake, this triggered a painful memory, and without thinking at all, she swiftly got into the water, shaking her whole body rather violently. She was so scared of the potential venom, she completely forgot that Skaliscin didn't have any, at least dangerous. The bite was still hurting her a lot though...

I yowl in agony but remain still as she removes the branch.

Chica threw, with all her might, the stick that dripped with blood into the ocean.

"Ross!" Chica yelled, trying to get the tiger to come back

Sybil was soaking wet, and pretty cold. It was dark after all. She wasn't sure if Skaliscin let go, but she couldn't tell, since the pain eased (probably due to the salt water?). She was looking at the shore, and noticed that the Siberian Tiger didn't hurt anyone that was near. Could it be that it was yet another animal wanting to stay at the Haven? Did the message about the Haven went further than she expected?

"well there she goes" Chica said and continued her work on aregil, his wound very deep.

Sybil was approaching the shore, ready to get dry. She was so concentrated on the tiger that she didn't notice whether Skaliscin was still on the water or still attached to her leg...

"Is that... tiger... running away?" Sybil asked to herself, very confused. And she thought tigers were just merciless hunters...

"she's a newcomer to the haven" Chica explained to Sybil. "she was unconscious when I found her"

"Why? Wha... oh no, don't tell me, I know." she answered. She already had the idea on what happened. She then turned to the tiger, already fast asleep. "Oh no, I didn't even got the chance to greet her. No matter, I will do that tomorrow, let's just let her sleep." she suggested to Chica, smiling.

"yes" chica said, "i told her you were the founder of this island, but judging on what happened, she panicked to much to even remember what i said" she picked up the margay, who's wounds are now wrapped with various plants

Sybil though about it for a minute, and she sorrowfully asked "... Are you gonna leave?" She knew that after those events, the animals wouldn't probably want to be in the now not-so-safe Haven anymore...

OOC: OK, sorry for the late notice, but I'll be gone from today to Jan. 8. I'm just gonna have my characters be "inactive" until I get back.


Skaliscin was long gone. Fear- yes, that's right, real fear- and guilt overcame her, and she zipped out of the water, across the dunes, and into the forest before Sybil could see.

Pablo fell asleep on the beach, snoring, snorting and rolling around.

Sybil was too distracted with the late events to notice that Skaliscin was nowhere to be seen. She wasn't sure if she wanted to hear the answer, so the civet was preparing to leave...

Kallik woke up.

"no, I will protect this haven with my life, it's my only family now" Chica said, heart burning like fire, but with a river inside

That was quite a relief for Sybil. She nearly couldn't believe how loyal Chica has become to the Haven. She now knew she chose her second-in-command well. She then sighed. "Well, I do believe I have slept for quite a while. I better go check the residences." she said, determined. It was about time she gave a walk around the Haven to see how much damage there is... and to kill time until the birds arrive.

"oh and sybil" chica said, stopping, still with the margay in her mouth. "this margay, his scent is to familiare. and i remember a margay in my pack, before they came and ruined everything. i think this is him" she explained, and argeil's body swinged by his scruff.

OOC:^You should have specified that earlier. Oh well.

Sybil took a look at the margay... "Wait, I don't think I have seen that margay before. Since when it arrived?" Sybil wondered. All the commotion in the Haven recently clouded her mind, so she couldn't think clearly, at least, for the time being...

"since around the same time as the tiger, but earlier" Chica said, "had a human wound when I found him on the shore"

Sybil then had pure horror in her expression. "Oh NO... Chica... what if... the humans saw the orca carrying him here?" she asked, certain that the humans spot the margay on top of the orca and followed them to the Haven...

chica thought about it. "there is a chance, the wound was fresh" she said, now a nervous tone to her voice

If that was it, then the Haven was exposed to such danger. "Well now, I guess that settles it. Why didn't I thought of that sooner? Rare and endangered animals, riding an Orca in the vast, blue sea? Humans do travel by sea, and it was only a matter of time for some to notice." Sybil concluded...

She then rushed into a desperate, yet odd solution. "That's it then! Help me gather the orcas Chica. We gotta tell them that... any animal interested to join the Haven must travel inside their mouths rather than their backs." she suggested, felling odd. She knew that could sound strange and disgusting for most...

The confused civet rolled a little before getting back on her feet. "Darn it! First beaten by a snake and now knocked out by a..." but she didn't knew what. She headed toward whee the shaken tiger was. Sybil gave a quiet gasp, but then headed to where Rose was. She wasn't afraid anymore. "Oh, it's you. What were you thinking? You can't run around like that in the middle of the night without watching were you're going you know..." the tacked civet commented, although very careful not to sound like a scold.

"aye aye" Chica said playfully. That sounded good, but what about the huge animals like the elephants? You would need a blue whale for those. "what about the larger animals Sybil? We have elephants here, I don't think animals like that could fit in a mouth" Chica said. Chica went ahead and hid the margay in some bushes, and came back for Sybil's answer.

Sybil turned, getting her attention off Rose for that little instant. "I don't think there will be more elephants here... unless... you are planning to bring more elephants..." she asked, and before Chica could reply, she said: "I could try to recruit blue whales, but remember that orcas and blue whales are enemies, so I doubt that is a good idea" after the comment, the stressed civet lowered her head, trying to think of a plan...

"why would I?" chica said.

"Just saying." Sybil explained. She thought that Chica was planning the arrival of more elephants to protect the Haven, but that didn't seemed to be the case then...

"just because those elephants here are 'protecting' the out backs and such, i still dont like them" chica said, who still despises the elephants

Chica spotted the tiger next to Sybil. "I see rose has appeared again" she commented

Kona patted the hippo's head with her tail and bounded away.

"Yes, she is... wait, didn't you see..." Sybil was about to tell her about the tackle Rose gave her earlier, but decided to leave that out to avoid offending the frightened tiger behind her. Instead, she realized something: "Chica, those elephant's aren't that hostile, right? I heard that elephants in India are... enemies of tigers." Sybil told her second-in-command by the ear in a very quiet whisper.

The bushes begin to rustle as the elephant brothers emerge from the undergrowth. Ivor is wounded and supported by his two younger brothers. As they see the tiger the brothers just walk over to a boulder and lay their bleeding brother down on the ground.

Royal, the harpy eagle lands beside the group.
"There are no humans in sight. I scanned a twenty mile radius around the island and saw none."

Jaerl, the Peregrine Falcon lands beside him and nods.

I stumble out of the bushes.
"There is nothing to fear Miss Sybil, no humans followed me to this place. This wound is from my escape from the men that were going to sell me in the black market as an exotic pet to highest bidder. I had suffered this fate twice already and endured the sorrow of being locked up in a cage for people to look at unable to enjoy the world. I escaped on the back of a orca after being shot in the side. The men that were chasing me stopped before they reached the beach and frustratingly they promised to the wind that they would get me no matter where I went. I watched the sea and sky for signs of boats or airplanes in pursuit but saw none. Though deep inside I am fear that their threat is a real one, I don't know if any can get here. After all fierce storms protect it and only a few beast know how to get through them safely."

"I don't think picking up animals was the only thing they had in mind." Sybil speculated, being exposed to human's thirst for power too many times in her life. "But fear not Jaerl, my friends are already recruiting some flying guards to protect the Haven from those demons." she then added, trying to calm the falcon. She then looked behind her, dissimulating the action. She was surprised Jaerl didn't reacted to the presence of the tiger... and how she haven't seen the elephants for a while...

OCC: The margay was talking. Jaerl and Royal have not seen the tiger. It was the elephant brothers that saw her.
