Blaze leapt off of the rock and turned back towards Rougestone.
“Do you have any idea as to what it means? He said that you would know.” Blaze asked
“What did he say, Rougestone?” Bluefire asked
“Blaze was right; it doesn’t concern any of you but me.”
“Well it does now. What did you tell him, Blaze?”
Rougestone went silent for a second after Bluefire questioned them again.
“It doesn’t concern you.” he repeated.
“Well I guess that we both have our secrets now, don’t we?” Bluefire asked.
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Does it matter?” Bluefire snapped back
“Ten years really does something to friends, doesn’t it?”
“Well, if you recall, we are relatives now.”
“You say it as if it were a bad thing.” Rougestone implied
“It isn’t. I would have rather known about it sooner.”
“Sooner? What did you think was going to happen when I left with Sapphire? Now the kids were unexpected, but the marriage was kind of obvious.”
“Mom and dad are going to have a field day the next time that you visit them.”
“Worried about mom and dad, now are you?”
“When did you start that?”
“What?”
“Calling them ‘mom’ and ‘dad’.”
“What do you want me to call them? They are my parents now, since they are Sapphire’s.”
“Wow, secrets are no fun with you guys.” Blaze said
“Can it, kid. No one was talking to you.” Bluefire snapped again.
“You need to calm down, Bluefire.”
“Why?! I am not hurting anyone!”
Rougestone turned to Blaze. Blaze was just sitting there taking it. He had no signs of breaking down or anything. Rougestone then turned back to Bluefire, but whispered to Blaze.
“Get behind me. Don’t ask.”
Blaze nodded slightly and padded over to where Rougestone was.
“Where is he going?!” Bluefire yelled
“I guess that there will be a hole big enough for me after all.” Rougestone commented back.
“Very good Rougestone.”

“Yes, I was expecting you to figure it out. Which is why I just gave it away.” the creature was talking through Bluefire, “And I am looking forward to seeing you, Rougestone. Word spreads fast, like that flame you blow, and why wouldn’t I be excited in meeting you?”
“You sound more like an admirer.” Rougestone commented.
“You could say that. I enjoy a good challenge.”
“Which is why you aren’t talking to me straight forward?” he said, making fun of his unknown enemy.
“All in due time, and by the looks of things, that time should be quite soon.”
“Something I look forward to.”

“Shall we then?” Rougestone asked Bluefire.
“What about Alacrity?” whispered Blaze
Rougestone looked behind him over at Blaze.
“You go and find her and help her with Tachi. Both of you take the black hole and I will meet you there.” he said in a quiet tone so that Bluefire couldn’t hear him.
Blaze nodded and ran off in the opposite direction.
“Now where were we, Bluefire?” Rougestone asked while turning his attention back to where Bluefire was last’ only he wasn’t there.
“Now I thought that you wanted to meet me face-to-face.”
“I didn’t say that I wasn’t going to have some fun with you before that.”
“Great.” Rougestone said sarcastically.
